  1. I have the daknit one on a CD somewhere [one time he sent me like a package full of his complete discography, hahaha] but the pixietricks version is on her site.
  2. I use FL Studio but for some reason I'm regressing backwards to trackers. Probably for aesthetic reasons.
  3. I'm fine with the 192kbps CBR MP3s, but I guess album art woulda been cool.
  4. What do you mean? There aren't enough! Especially ones that take the vocals and lyrics into consideration! The only people I know that have even touched the vocals: Daknit, and then later pixietricks.
  5. I'm hoping maybe your school has a means to record audio. Maybe a nearby church? Otherwise, you might be spending some cash. But if you get a good mixer, and some microphones, you're almost set for the long term.
  6. Actually, that one's not too good, the samples have attacks and things. For NES music I ripped virt's samples [sorry virt! lol?] from his chiptunes, like this one, since they are pretty accurate.
  7. HQ Orchestral just sucks like that. You can save custom layouts and load them later, try that. the instruments reset for me too, but that's after opening/closing the project.
  8. You might like this thread, though you don't know anyone well enough yet! But you might wanna go anyway, I dunno.
  9. Oh, well, there is that Rellik Zelda 2 OC ReMix made in FL, but if you want anything to sound realistic right out of the box you can forget it
  10. Well, the stuff that comes packaged with the program is not good, but you shouldn't worry about that until you get to know the software a little better.
  11. You need to set the note volume to 0, and you enter in a number to the right of the note value, that number being "0" in this case. It's not exactly the best tracker interface I've come across
  12. There's a tracker specifically for NSF files called FamiTracker: http://famitracker.shoodot.net/ but Modplug works too, if you have the right samples and know the limits of the chip sound you're trying to emulate.
  13. How big of a soundfont? Judging from all these Sonar questions I'm guessing you haven't configured the program properly yet.
  14. Hey finalhazard, the problem isn't related to piracy at all. Though I don't know about Sonar 4 configuration so I'll leave that to someone more experienced.
  15. GM means it's mapped to the GM standard layout. GS means... the same thing, only mapped to the GS layout. Also, a tip for the forum: Your topic title should mention the question, instead of it just being "I have a question" etc.
  16. Your sigs look like mine, sorta. Though yours are original ;0
  17. Sometimes I record stuff I hear in ads on the internet, like that sample I use in the second track on my last album [37 MB lol get the whole thing plx], or long speeches, etc. The great thing about ambient sounds is that you can record whatever the fuck you want to record, then process it to death to make it fit your song as it changes. It all depends on what you want to hear right at that moment. I'll tell you what's good for soundscapes? Check this out: http://www.hgf-synthesizer.de/se/STS/STS.html
  18. I agree with the overcrowding completely. But I don't know about making another subforum, we already have a lot of those ;0
  19. What, you want me to code them in notepad or something? I'm just looking for a tracker I can use, maybe I will learn more than this when I use it.
