  1. Wet is probably like reverb and chorus built in, and dry is just straight samples
  2. You got a Midisport 2x2, Yoozer? I like mine I probably won't be getting anything musical, save for a novel called "Accordion Crimes" ha ha ha
  3. Kwarp, it's the final master for all of the songs, so that they are all mixed uniformally and consistently.
  4. Use the "snap to" function. It should be selected to "line" by default, however you can set it down to 1/6 step snap or literally "none" which is sort of unruly but useful if you want to accidentally make a sequence sound like it was played live also OOPS don't use the step sequencer probably, sorry I didn't read XD The "snap to" function works literally everywhere in FL except the Step Sequencer. You'll need to use the piano roll.
  5. I gotta third the "Alienware sucks" statement. Even Gateway probably makes a similarly powerful computer for $2000 less than what they're asking. Actually my mom just got a very powerful Gateway for surprisingly cheap. Of course you should still make your own tower anyway if you could since it might be cheaper. I'm not that smart though so I buy premade ones Another tip: You might wanna stay away from Pentium processors with hyperthreading. Apparently it causes problems in some software. I think develop That acousic treatment bit is a rather large project. Unless you or your dad are carpenters though I would hire a professional . Edit: Compyfox is spot on with the LCD comment. CRT monitors generate a lot of noise.
  6. he played one of them in the last few weeks also nobody really liked it at all
  7. Hahaha oh god I slept through VGF what the hell He made like 50 hours of music for ALS2
  8. lol guys I think Trenthian knows most of this already. He's been planning this for some time now.
  9. http://www.kvraudio.com/get/209.html I guess that'll do for the DX7. It's free, anyway
  10. fyi I finished a draft of the intro music. I'll give it to you later if I ever catch you in the channel
  11. Sounds like an unavoidable bug to me. Could it be linked to the fact that Reason can't do tempo changes?
  12. HI by the way check your PMs larry! I hooked you up with the Unreal Gold .umx files
  13. Are you considering my moving cutouts idea? WE NEED TO TALK so I can explain it in greater detail
  14. Why does this thread only have 8 replies anyway? This is one of the best Metroid mixes on the site by far, and it's quite old to boot.
  15. This took me a while to figure out but I finally got it. When using the Event Editor, mouse over the editing field. FL'll give you a percentile or number [sometimes even a name or On/Off] in the line on the main toolbar at the top of the screen, so you get a more accurate value instead of an estimate.
  16. 3. Perhaps you can retain the animation but try a different method? Since this is a children's book, how about just movable cutouts? Something akin to Space Ghost Coast To Coast without any animation tweens? It would be an easy method, and of COURSE it would just look absolutely adorable.
  17. Also at myka316: That's a .wav sample. However, this .wav sample thankfully has a [good] loop point. When you encounter something with a loop point [should be 2 red bars in the waveform], in the channel properties go to "use loop points."
  18. www.findsounds.com Search for "heart"
  19. There should be a directory just for soundfonts in the /data/patches/ folder, just put your soundfonts in there [.sf2 format only] and they'll show up in the sample browser on the left of FL Studio.
  20. Search the thread for "event editor" and "automation" Sometimes it's as simple as right clicking, if it's a FL plugin or program function [like volume or tempo] but ANYTHING can be automated. The trickiness comes from 3rd party vst/dx plugins! You need to check out the sample browser to the left. You'll see a "current project" folder. If you have synths open go to "Generators" and there should be yet another section for each synth. In this case it would be "Fruity Wrapper (Synth1 VSTi/DXi)" Luckily, all the automatable functions are labeled, however a lot of synths have functions that AREN'T, so you'll have to guess! This sucks but it's the only way, UNLESS you hit "record" and twiddle with the knobs LIVE and UNCUT which can be a little messy o_O
  21. Channels>Add>more; quick refresh. New instruments are in red. Click the box next to them to add them to the menu
