  1. The SNES work Uematsu did has really grown on me, but I haven't played any of the Playstation Final Fantasies before. Well, I started FF7 last year [finally] but I found the music in that one really grating. I stopped playing it very early on, like, I was trying to rescue Tifa from the circus or something. I could start it up again sometime, but I really don't feel like it.
  2. http://www.zreomusic.com No, that URL isn't a typo. This is, well... Chaz says it's "pretty good" so I'll take his word for it. Also, I see Kanjika under the staff page, but I don't recognize any other names.edit: I found a cumshot almost immediately in the zelda 2 track. Too bad that flute noise is so grating
  3. maybe (´ー`)y-~~ I was also just saying that Cockos Reaper sounded funny
  4. Holy fucking shit, hold the fuck up. No solution can be this complicated. I think I forgot to say, once you replace all the MIDI channels with synths and samples in FL, it should stop being so desynced. Try that. If all the synths and samples are loaded and the song plays fine, you can forget the hundreds of programs MaliceX namedropped and just stick with FL. Also, Cockos Reaper sounds like a VGMix injoke, dunno why. Stupid name for... well, anything.
  5. I'm not going to. Freaking upgrade already. It'll make you happy in the pants. Especially upgrading from 4 [jesus christ] That said, looking and listening to the waveform, you can tell what causes the volume spike. It could be pops in a sample or a glitch with one of the VSTi. Can you link us to the waveform so we can see what's going on?
  6. you mean Sonar, right? ...you mean Sonar, right?
  7. I said I was used to the interface, I'm talking about the color and shape of the buttons щ(゚Д゚щ)
  8. you rock, man Kinda lame though, a lot of the old .bmp files aren't the right shape, or something. It'll take a bit of Photoshop work
  9. FL Studio wasn't designed for the whole song to be in one pattern. It loads that pattern to memory and once it gets to a certain level of size and complexity, it starts performing very slowly, particularly when using the MIDI synthesizer, which for some reason has a slower response time than anything else, at least in my experience. For example, FL's metronome will not work with an all MIDI song. I have to deal with this horrible issue when I participate in Kwakfests or other MIDI compos. I'm assuming "Enable MIDI Master Sync" under the Options menu is related to this, but it doesn't seem to fix anything.
  10. Well, I did ask that. But I don't have the textures.
  11. So I've had FruityLoops since 2.7. It looks almost like a completely different program when you compare it to FL Studio 7. In terms of interface and placement, I'd say for the better. But what the hell did they do to the buttons? They're all bubbly and not at all pleasant-looking. At least to me. The most disheartening was the absence of the "Alternate Steps" skin, which I've used up until now. Skins seem like a trivial thing but to me it's important that the program I compose in doesn't look terrible and fits my preferences. I am okay with "Dark Time," but I wish there was a skin out there that takes me back to the days of FruityLoops 3. Is there one available that looks like FL3 but accommodates all the new interface additions of 7? I must have my square buttons. Furthermore, it is possible to create a new skin, then use the same textures from an FL3 installation, I think. Anyone still have the old textures? I would like them ALSO, I figure if you made a FL skin for yourself or for others, or you found another cool one, feel free to post it here, you might as well make this the official OCR FL skins thread.
  12. Please please please check out my "Free Music Thread," it's still on the 1st page on this forum section! you will find an ipod's-worth of music, at least
  13. Mosaik, formerly known as Radix, though under his Mosaik name makes different material than [excellent] chip pop. This stuff, at least his last kahvi release, is light, airy, and sometimes playful.
  14. Indeed. mv was going to help out with ALS4 so I bug him about it sometimes when he gets on IRC ( ゚∀゚)アハハ八八ノヽノヽノヽノ \ / \/ \
  15. oc-marksman.mp3 - 5.7mb It is a song which can't decide if it's minimal or large scale, repetitive or dynamic, loud or quiet. or if it wants to finish masturbating
  16. You know what Sonic needs? A full Michael Jackson soundtrack. Fuck bad PR. Sonic 3 had some groovy tracks. Also maybe they should kill off all the extra characters. Except Tails - we need to laugh at the horribly funny AI trying to follow us around and getting his ass kicked trying to keep up. and change Eggman's name back to Dr. Robotnik. and make a Sonic GBA or DS game using the oldschool sprites and Sonic R 2
  17. See DJP? The longer you wait to fix the link colors, the more people misunderstand each other
  18. whitey 07/02/08(Thu)06:49 No.5189 http://www.blackkimono.com ambient-like instrumental music, one song with orchestral instruments
  19. Have you googled for Timbaland news at all? http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=us&q=Timbaland&btnG=Search+News "Timbaland's Genius Mystifies Him" "Timbaland - The Grammys’ Unsung Hero" "Super producer Timbaland scores numerous nominations for the 49th Annual Grammy Awards" Only one news post on the song ripping, the rest of the results worship Timbaland as some sort of audio production god [and he thinks himself one, too, clearly]. Timbaland is right, nobody gives a shit about Tempest. I kinda figured it'd be like this from day 1, I knew Timbaland would say something incredibly ignorant and act like a mumbling shoop da woop idiot and he'll only look better in the eyes of mainstream music listeners because of it. The court case will probably end up being something totally ridiculous.
  20. If you read OCR's site FAQ, it says "please don't rip someone else's midi" somewhere. As in, you can't just load a midi in FL, replace the instruments, and add a drumloop. Even if you did, it'd sound horrible anyway! anyway have fun (´∀`)
  21. lol You can't get spc files into FL, Only midis and wav files. Before you ask: no, there is no conversion utility to remedy this. Have you tried just re-sequencing the song in yourself? That's the best way. Can't always depend on a fan-made midi file.
  22. oh really? (#゚Д゚) Well I'll be in batch 2 then, I guess. EDIT: Are you just waiting for 320 kbps? : (((((
