  1. I thought Reunion was all about club styles? That's what it's been so far, completely. Are you telling me you guys don't mind if something isn't dancey? I might be able to release something to you guys then Anyway, I like this, great synth lead and a chill beat. Complements his Project Chaos tracks well, and it's a welcome change from the standard UNTS Reunion's been releasing lately.
  2. oc-Socket-DuckutsuMonogatari.mp3 - 3.9mb In this song: rock beats, santoor lead, weird synths, horrible soloing, best title ever get it? because he is a duck, and it's the caverns level oho
  3. But in 5 or 10 years? ehhh, who knows? Σ(゚Д゚) though I'm not sure Andy's objective is game music. He already beat Klepacki for "best techno album 2006" anyway.
  4. As I mentioned before, I loved Workbench's last Kahvi release, and I'm glad Kahvi started releasing in .mp3 so I can put their stuff on my mp3 player
  5. I could only make a 3 GB FAT32 partition though - what gives? Even then, the Ubuntu partition tool wasn't able to install itself. Though, for some reason, now I have this 3.37 GB partition viewable in windows, and it looks like a backup partition [there's things like "RECOVER.BAT"]. I've never seen it until, like, yesterday. I think what I should do instead is get another hard drive anyway, make that one FAT32 and put Ubuntu on that. I only have 30 GB or so left on this one anyway, and that could fill up fast!
  6. I am absolutely in love with Ubuntu. I picked it up in seconds, and I love the add/remove software feature. I'd totally just use that, but I only have one NTFS hard drive and I am afraid of partitioning :[ I'd run it from CD-ROM but it's way too slow that way. the first distro I actually tried was Damnsmall Linux: http://damnsmalllinux.org/ 50 MB operating system. I put it on a USB thumbdrive and it works great it even comes with more software than you'd think, though I didn't like most of them. It also couldn't detect my mobo network adapter like Ubuntu did. Probably why it's only 50 MB.
  7. Hooray, troupe! Also, Simon sees all! Maybe he looked at a referrals log or something : http://www.mono211.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1170021194
  8. Okay, then I'll have to recommend Sibelius :3 I keep forgetting they come with the good shit now.
  9. Nope. FruityLoops is probably the easiest software I can think of learning, simply because it does so much behind-the-scenes automatic stuff that it doesn't bother you with, though in the long-term that is kind of damaging if you don't know what's really going on in there. Any simpler and easier than FL and you're getting into eJay territory. Or a single drum machine and TB-303.
  10. From the responses to Vista I've seen so far, everyone who hasn't used Vista yet [predictably] hates it, but the people who've tried the OS say it's quite an improvement over XP. I'd frankly like to see less "prediction" [in all fields, not just elite geekery, but that's for another topic] from people who have never even used it, but shove these cryptic insider reports all over the internet. Wait a bit, K? You could try it out in a store and it will probably be much better than XP, given Microsoft's OS track record.
  11. Holy shit, $25?!?! Ask me anything, please!
  12. oc-TheMorningSunisBurningtheMountains.mp3 - 7.8mb a quick little ambient tune I devised at 1:30 in the morning. Is it making me tired? A little.
  13. I like the normal skin >_> this is a fun synth - "random" doesn't really mean random parameters, but it loads specific patches within banks that I cannot seem to find normally.
  14. No, NOT using it does. I still have no idea specifically how it works, all I know is that turning it off lets me have a much lower latency without underruns. Might not work the same for everybody.
  15. http://www.reunionstudio.org/ 019 - Platonist - Maraton - style : Breakbeat/Lofi/Chip - prog : Schism Tracker CVS - date : 26 jan 2007 I'm amazed that people use Schism Tracker at all. Last time I tried it was pretty buggy.
  16. I think it's because I'm not using the hardware buffer. When I turn that on the underruns go >>>>>>>>>>>> so maybe it's my super-awesome CPU
  17. I love when people remix my stuff too wink wink
  18. omg, eKid's started converting .mod files http://ekid.ath.cx/supermarioland.spc http://ekid.ath.cx/jingle2.spc lol
  19. I don't know how much an e-mu 0404 costs in europe but those are like $80 here, and way better than a Soundblaster 512. I really should get one of those myself. My latency would probably improve quite a bit [it is like 15ms right now with an Audigy 2]. Getting a real, decent audio card would also make ASIO4ALL unnecessary. I dunno how you guys get those drivers to work, they don't work as well as my default Audigy 2's sound drivers.
  20. Here's another Liquid Stranger album: http://kahvi.org/59.php
  21. Tree Wave sounds familiar. I'm checking this out and I think it's pretty cool so far.
