In other news, I just have a general appreciation I wanted to throw out - I've heard a good number of recent WIPs, and I wanted to say that this is just awesome. Like, it's gonna make my whole month when this project comes out. Good work to all.

Come on, now, this is starting to be reminiscent of the old thread. I say you guys just discuss it on AIM or messenger or whatever. (This isn't like a command or anything, it's more of a plea.)

I've watched this project since the beginning with great interest, and I regret not getting into music earlier, as I would have at least attempted a contribution. I've listened to the final product many, many times over and it isn't even close to getting old. Really nice work all around.

Sorry to see you drop Death Egg, DJBren. I'm pretty much done with mine, but I could still make minor updates to it and whatever. I'm looking forward to the release or at least the next deadline - this will be a great project.

Does anyone know where I could find a nice concertina or accordion sample/soundfont? I've been in need of one for quite some time.

I'd be interested in mixing one of the songs, but gimme a minute cause I need to relisten to them.

I dunno... while it was a little childish (check my sig), it actually represents a lot of the effort that goes into this. I mean, the very first day it was announced, it was the subject of much hilarity in #ocremix that night - and now it's almost finished. There's a lot of shit in there that could probably be cleaned up, a few things that were said that aren't really indicitave of the people saying them, but... ... Yeah, ok, I think it should be deleted too. On an unrelated note, it would appear Foxhound is also from Canada. So that's pretty cool. It's just - y'know, I was looking at it, and it probably isn't the type of thread we'd want to represent this - not exactly very respectable. I think we'd all be better off with this as a replacement, instead of an addition.

Wow. Fantastic work - and this has become another of my favorites. I think this song had me right when it came in with that bassline. The bass makes this song so unbelievable.

You know what I think? On a completely random note? I say that when this project is completed, we delete the original "history" thread, make THIS the "history" thread, and make a new thread for comments. But nevermind me.

Sorry to see you leave. As to my own track, I'm still going. I haven't posted in awhile, but I've taken everyone's comments to heart and have realized several new things about it, and I'm revamping it for another go. The deadline's a'comin'...

In reference to that, I'm pretty sure there's no way I'm gonna be able to hold this one. There's a lot of crap going on for me right now - serious stuff. If I wind up with something by saturday, that would be great, but there's a good chance I won't. Sorry, y'all.

Dunno if this has already been mentioned, but I was thinking that in the future maybe every so often you could have something like a "special"... if a new site project is released, or something really major is going on in the 'scene', you could have an extended show or at least the majority of the show focus on that.

Yeah KFC, the bass on my speakers here is shot, and I realized I overcompensated when I first listened on headphones. Whatever, I'll fix that up along with some of the distortion. About the guitar, I've still been considering what to do about that. I slapped slayer on there and yes that's a bad idea, but it's more a background line than anything...I might just use an entirely different instrument. Oh one more thing, I notice I'm on both the "to be removed" and "tracklisting" lists, but it doesn't really matter to me as you just said I'm staying. And yes, I'm relieved. Good stuff, y'all - I look forward to hearing the arrangements.

So you're saying that on one disc there will be the ones of highest quality plus ones that "tied" in quality due to different styles, and on the other disc will be the other pieces that tied along with the competition pieces? That's sounding pretty good to me.

It just occurred to me how much selection there will be for each track. It's good that we can narrow it down to the ones that most fit the project.

Should I find the time, I'd like to give E. Honda's stage a shot.
