I have no constructive criticism to offer. HELL. YES. Thank you guys. -
Full-length remix album in the works; I need your help
Antipode replied to Benjamin Briggs's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
This album MUST be finished. I don't care if it's just like 10 songs - you know no one else is going to make one of these with good quality... -
Makes sense since Hyrule Field is supposed to be what, five times as big as the one in OoT? If I remember right, anyway. Man, I'm stoked. I want this and about three other Wii games right now. Too bad I've got forty bucks to my name...

OverClocked ReMix Design ?'s and Issues
Antipode replied to Liontamer's topic in Site Issues & Feedback
Hey, just thought I'd mention this one: I know there used to be an F-Zero GX remix called "Dr Stuard 'Jeff n Toad Air Team Challengers", or something like that, and I'm also aware that said remix was removed - but it appears that the category for GX, now empty, wasn't. http://www.ocremix.org/f/ http://www.ocremix.org/game/fzerogx/ I'm sure this had to have been mentioned, but I thought I'd put it out there. -
Have fun with this one. The main melody for this, which you can hear at the very beginning, was produced by a friend of mine screwing around with those "alarm" calls on a walkie talkie and playing them in order to make a little tune. I feel pretty good about this. What do y'all think? Right-click, save-as here to get it. I made this over the course of the last three nights. I'm also proud to say that I used no drumloops of any sort. "Megalith" just means a big rock. Thought it sounded cool. Comments = goodness!

It's a tough choice for me. When playing what will likely be the best game ever made, I'm not so sure I want to dilute it with "Wii immersion", you know? The controls for Wind Waker were incredibly tight and I want to get the whole experience for Twilight Princess without worrying about the "aiming" and "hitting" movements with the remote and all that. I want it to be fluid and quick and I want to be able to hit a button to slash. However, I've got faith in nintendo, and there's no way I'm going to say no to the Wii version until I see reviews of both versions. I just wish the GC version came out earlier so I could know sooner.

Damn, just saw the trailer. Wario will be MINE. Everything he did in that trailer was all kinds of awesome.

If you make a DKC2 project make sure it has pretty strict quality control. Have people send previous work to make sure they're good enough or something. If there's a DKC2 project it'd better be godly... it's one of my favorite OSTs. I remember two or three DKC 2 projects starting right after KiC but they all died. Good luck!

DKC3, Cave/Factory theme DnB Remix [WIP] !
Antipode replied to Cyan's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I liked this quite a bit. The key change helps it out quite a bit, but as others have said add a layer or two on top of what you've got and maybe explore another idea or two in more depth. I'm liking the direction you're taking this. I'd love to see a polished version hit OCR. I really like the intro, too. I'd say don't make this mix too much longer at risk of stretching the source tunes, but yeah. Add some layers in there as it sounds just a bit dry or empty at times. -

OCR01519 - Donkey Kong Land "Revisiting the Ruins"

Great remix of a great song of a great game. Pure excellence. I love the style. Thanks for remixing this song - it might have been my favorite from the game. Great job! -
OCR01418 - Mega Man 2 "The Fifth Season"
Antipode replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Thanks for an excellent remix, GaMeBoX. This is one of my very favorites, and it think it can be underappreciated at times. I love the arrangement and you've created something that's very unique and catchy. I would be just fine with some extended mix lasting a minute or two longer! -
YES. All of those must be added so I can use one. I love the 3rd and 4th.

Excellent, groovy stuff here. It's a shame it isn't getting more feedback! I love the drumwork in these songs. My personal favorites are Pile Up, Nothing Doing (Lazy Sunday), and Cold Reception. Very nice work. I'm thinking it should make a good driving cd. I look forward to your next one!

OCR01507 - Metroid Prime 2 "Torvus Clockwork"
Antipode replied to djpretzel's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Hey, I remember this track from way back when! I still listen to it frequently, and it always surprised me that it wasn't part of the OCR collection. Now that it is, I can officially change my ID3 tag and give it a celebratory listen. It's nice to see you give the Prime series quality coverage in the way you have, Darkesword. I hope to hear more Prime mixes in the future! -
Agreed. The only sonic advance game I've managed to beat was the first one. Actually though, I really enjoyed the first Sonic Advance. I felt it had the style of the old games and was well thought-out.
-
Ah, thanks. I might look into getting it then. Now to get the monies...for like...6 games...and then start saving for the Wii... Damn it, nintendo!
-
I'm looking for some feedback. Is Deep Labyrinth worth my cash, or do I save it for something better? I'm sure it's been discussed, but I was thinking about it. IGN gave it a mediocre score.

Hahaha, bob ross and the joy of painting?

So I was looking at screenshots of this upcoming Monster Bomber (upcoming in the states anyway) and I found a funny screenshot. Took me a second to figure out what it was actually saying. It would be hilarious if it said that whenever something blows up.

I've decided that I'm going to spend all the money I get on the DS games I want (MvsDK2, Mech Assault, FFIII, the Pokemon game (I think diamond) maybe Yoshi's Island 2, maybe Contact and probably phoenix wright since I didn't have it yet - if I like it, then the sequel too...yeah, it's adding up...and we don't even know when phantom hourglass is coming out yet) and then wait until I have money to get all the Wii stuff. I want more DS, badly. And they need to make a sequel to prime hunters, now that they have a working engine - and try to improve on the single player aspects and add more maps. I'm done talking about nothing.

I'm having a big problem with my L button. Some days, it randomly decides that it's not going to work unless I really mash the thing down. Very unresponsive. What should I do? (I have a regular silver DS, just so you know).
