Time for Wingless to shine, bitches! So for quite some time during and a little bit after grad school I gave myself a project to basically draw all the creatures in the NES metroid. That project expanded slightly to include a nice little mockup of a document where all these designs would go. A document implies writing, so I wrote. And it kind of expanded beyond that. What better way to start the day then with OCRv4? Lightning quick coloring... which I haven't done since I drew anime and posted it on the sold solace (soltice?) forums. Blazed through the hair, cuz I didn't feel like doing it right

I swing both ways I'd be perfectly willing (if I had the time) to make music for any indie venture. But I don't, since my time is now divided between making real games for Pandemic and making Indie games for myself. The one I'm working on now is a non-traditional side-scrolling shmup. So music is foremost on my mind. The first and perhaps last place I would turn to for original music would be the talent here. And, speaking third-handedly, there are plenty of people here trying to make it in either game music or film, and they desperately need something real on their resume to prove their clout so... it's a symbiotic relationship. Win wins all around.

Deadly Towers was another gem. Basically, you have to destroy 8 bells in 8 DEADLY TOWERS. And each tower has its own song (once you get to the tower areas). What's sooo bizzare about this game is that some of the songs have kick-ass riffs, and others are just groin-grabbingly bad... to the point where you wonder if the cat just walked across the keys and the composer was like, "Huh... good enough!" This video is a speed run that goes through all the towers. I encourage a sit through of the whole thing (only 9 minutes) edit: guess it doesn't contain all the music, but it's a great cross section of the game's WTF musical direction
