  1. Man, I wish I could've came. I definitely would like to meet the faces behind the posts and the mixes. Hmm, maybe I'll try next year... Maybe. At least I finally got to play through Force Unleashed and Mirror's Edge on my roommate's 360!
  2. I listened to a few two tone bands like Madness, and some others, thanks for the links, videos, and suggestions guys, I appreciate it.
  3. Same thing happened to me with Heroes. I just couldn't stand hearing about it. Not to mention my room mate is watching it right now... ugh.
  4. I'd be more than happy to contribute artwork for this project.
  5. What movie is it? Crap? Please, I've heard that before... And that doesn't really matter to me... Besides, it's a joke, probably a bad one... In regards to Sonic's Genesis Collection, I may check it out, as long as I can play Sonic 3 and Knuckles on it. I had a PC set of Sonic games (non illegal emu disks), and Sonic 3 and Knuckles I'd play non stop! Been Paying Rez HD, almost got the Eden achievement, god that's so hard. My thumb was firing as fast as an AK47!
  6. Oh, Nekofrog, you devil! We're five pages into this mess! HOW, DO YOU DO IT?
  7. Umm, you're joking right? That's an extremely good parody of all things sci-fi, unless you like those awful movies like DATE MOVIE, EPIC MOVIE, and SUPERHERO MOVIE. They topped out at Scary Movie 3 (The best of them all in my opinion). Besides, look at this animation!! In regards to the worst movies I've seen... Johnson Family Vacation Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey Shrek 2 and 3 (I can at least sit through 2) Sleepers (Woody Allen's worst film) Napoleon Dynamite Nick and Norah's Infinite Play list Pretty much most of Kevin's Smith's movies, hey, I've just never really liked his stuff. Spiderman 3 Taladega Nights (confirmed that Will Ferell can't be the main actor in a comedy to me, he's great in films where he ISN'T the main focus like OLD SCHOOL, Starsky and Hutch, you get the idea) Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life And regards to whoever said the Mario Bros. Movie is bad, for shame. I mean c'mon, you actually think they could've stayed accurate to the game? Just watch it as a movie, not as a "faithful" video game movie.
  8. Thanks guys, I look into these. I've listened to a little of Mad Caddies, and I've heard of Mustard Plug.
  9. Usually don't like making a new topic, especially since it revolves around me... Okay, so in my quest to expand my music taste, I'm wanting to explore SKA, REGGAE, and JAZZ. I've already listened to some SKA, but, I'd like your guys' input on it. SKA: Already know enough of NO DOUBT (I've always liked them, minus the Hey Baby Song, ugh) Already know of Sublime, Less Than Jake, Goldfinger, The Aquabats, Save Ferris, Five Iron Frenzy, and Reel Big Fish, as well as Madness (ONE STEP BEEYOOND!). Yeah, I may have more bases covered here... Reggae: Kinda goes a little into Ska, A LITTLE. Listened to some Bob Marley, but not much. Jazz: Minus The Mask soundtrack, and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, I haven't really looked into much. But then again, that was more Swing than anything (maybe recommend some good Jazz "Swing" bands like BBVD?) So, if you can recommend some good artists in those 3 genres, or a particular song you like from a band in those genres, please post about it. And if this is flamebait worthy please, feel free to tear it apart...
  10. I try as much as I can to ignore reviews, in ANY magazine. Alot of times, there's been game magazines rave about, and to me, they're not that good. Mass Effect for example. The obnoxious elevators, and the frustration I had with making a character (I had to settle on making it the default face because I didn't like any other one of them, I even restarted several times over it). Burnout 3, it just got boring after about 15 minutes of playing it. Gears of War, the graphics are amazing, but the whole camera shake when you sprint would give me nausea like you wouldn't believe. And from what I've heard, the single player and multiplayer is awful (the latter in two). I've tried to look into games when I've seen them in publications/on the net. Heck, some games that scored low were some of my favorite games, like Outrun 2, or Shenmue 2 (well, Shenmue is highly disregarded these days). I can't really say which one I'd pick, it'd probably be D. Curiosity. Simply because I can't really say what makes me pick up a game. I mean, I've just rented PURE, and I've never really played ATV games, but this game is just all kinds of awesome. It's a perfectly balanced game in terms of difficulty, controls, and visuals. And the music is just perfect for the game.
  11. Don't know what happened to Firedrake, maybe he found a better place to troll? Probably figured out this whole forum thing is just a fad, like Spiro graphs.... Yeah, CPH was a cretin most of the time. He pretty much hated everyone's opinion that wasn't in line with his own. Remember talking about N64? I remember the only thing he said from that, that it sucked considering all the good games he could only count on his hands (his opinion, not mine, but he's not that far off on that).
  12. Oh I remember your golden time friend. Boy those were some days. You, Cuddlypyramidhead, and Firedrake, were some bad dudes. Dissing the noob opinions, and getting into heated discussions too. I can recall several conversations between you and CPH.
  13. For a second, I couldn't really understand what was going on here Nekofrog. But why go to other forums? I mean, isn't OC good enough? We understand how remixes go... Just kidding. At least you shut a few people up it sounds like. I don't think putting a differing tone on a melody is a bad thing. But, ah nevermind. Gotta watch the Street Fighter Van Damme movie.
  14. Wingless, you're full of surprises, I didn't know you make games.
  15. Smash Brothers Brawl, finally unlocking Snake and then finally Sonic, Wolf, and Toon Link Tomb Raider Underworld, the Kraken's tentacle slinking back in from the hole it protruded out (scared the living crap out of me, I wasn't expecting it in the slightest) Mega Man 9, finally getting to Willy's Stages, and still not having beat them yet. Mario Kart Wii races at my house, because the online battle matches suck, not to mention having left out what was perfectly good battle modes from Double Dash. Experiencing Lost Winds, only to get bored with it later. Playing through Banjo Kazooie (N64 one, I hated Nuts and Bolts) on XBOX live, and it being the first game for me to have found all the achievements. Halo 3, beating the campaign on co-op with my Brother in Law, and helping him find all the skulls. Portal, learning how to shoot forward momentum, and doing it. And beating Glados, and getting an awesome song out of it. Scoring 2 million points in tetris DS endless mode. Star Wars Force Unleashed, SPOILER...... A famous jedi master striking Vader, only to find that it's only the Apprentice's droid. End Spoiler.... Those were my top moments this year...
  16. Okay, so guys who HACKED the game, with characters that were COPYRIGHTED (that includes their assets of the character models), was INFRINGED. Nintendo did what they thought they had to. And please, firmware updates come on almost every Nintendo Wii game released, and each one makes it harder and harder for the homebrew/hacker/emulator community to break, so don't think they aren't watching the modding. As far as this site? Come on, Do you ever see where the remixers have to give due credit to the composers of the songs on this site? And what stage/scene? There hasn't been much of a case of when the original composer has requested OC take of a song, it's happened on the rarest of occasions. OC doesn't get financial gain from this site, minus t-shirts. If they started to charge for songs, then you would see a hammer crack down. And even if OC shut down, there's dozens, if not hundreds of remix sites out there of the same nature. You should read the Soulja Boy thread... eyes roll...
  17. I wish I could find the OLD Lego Pirate Ship. That thing was awesome! As far as this Chris282 whatever, ironic that you keep coming back to take insults. I mean, if you have better things to do with your time, you could stop wasting it on internet forums. I mean, there's plenty of Starbucks/coffee shops to have "intellectual" conversations. Or go to a American Eagle/Hollister/Old Navy/Hot Topic for your insightful dialogue, I'm sure they'll pretend to listen.
  18. Neither do I, it's ridiculous. If you don't like him, WHY TALK ABOUT HIM?
  19. Yes, that's why millions play games on-line, because they aren't gamers. Even with a controller in their hands, staring at the TV, PLAYING a game, they are not gamers. As if Nintendo WiFi would be any better.... And from the looks of this thread, it's become a flame war. Congratulations guys. And from the sound of it, people are prodding every little thing that should have happened in the outcome, or "Oh, well he did this to win". Soulja Boy beat somebody at a game, BIG FREAKIN' DEAL. He also got beat at a game, BIG FREAKIN' DEAL. Just because a rapper that has an ego beats a gamer (AND PROVED HE HAS GAMING SKILL), doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Go play some games online or just play a game with someone offline, you may just get beat like other people do. What? Just because he may not sit in front of games 24-7 or reads the magazines/websites reviews or stays "in the know" or gaming crowd, doesn't qualify him as a gamer? No, I'm trying to stereotype anybody here, but half the time I hear the same bull crap about how some people aren't gamers, I get irritated. I don't care what someone plays, or how often, why should anyone feel they have to judge someone on that? One of my bosses plays Call of Duty 2 often, it's been his favorite game since he got back into games and since he bought a 360, he's looking to play other games like it. To me, that makes him a gamer, maybe not a constant gamer, but he plays. Look, doesn't this prove to show that Soulja Boy has some credit to what he says about his skill? Huh? Is it too much to say he was a little bit right? Hey, I may not like his music, but he's got game.
  20. Man everybody's gettin hitched around here these days.
  21. With the way the economy is going, I wonder where most game companies will be at by the time this is all sorted out (if it ever even is). EA isn't fairing so well, and I actually feel bad for them. They were just starting to go and make original titles, and this is what they get for exploring new IP. Watch Rare go under next (the way most of their games are going, I'll be surprised if Microsoft doesn't give them the axe).
  22. Hmmm, maybe gamers will think twice taking on 'ol Soulja Boy. I just hope he makes some good songs I can bare. Although the Travis Barker drums and guitar piece that was put onto his song sounded pretty cool.
