  1. Been gone for a while, but I'm still tinkering with songs here and there. I was originally going for a "Shadow Mario Theme" remix with this one, but it just turned into a normal "Underground Theme". Who's to complain though, it still turned out as a decent remix. As usual, comments and critics are welcome. Above all, enjoy. - - - Song: "Underground Theme" Game: "Super Mario Bros." Remixed By: Gavin MacLean Midi Basis By: (Unknown) Listen to the remix here! Download the remix here!
  2. Hey guys this here is a cool idea that sprung out of me messing around with some chords. Pretty cool electronica segment towards the end is the main focus on this one though. It all came together pretty well. Can you guys give me some constructive feed back please ? thanx in advance.
  3. To celebrate the Rapture on May 21st (or lack thereof), I made a song in the style of Sega Genesis and older Nintendo games, Dusthammer City. What this has to do with the rapture I haven't a clue. http://soundcloud.com/erineclipse/dusthammer-city
  4. http://youtu.be/HBOwP2RFDhA?hd=1 First off I would like to start by saying this track has no official link to Mass Effect 3, Bioware etc.... I recently played through the Shadow Broker DLC on Mass Effect 2 and being inspired in my rare off time I decided to pull an all nighter and compose "Zorah's Fire" as if I were composing for ME3. Yes, likely I will send it off to the great North and see if the team would want to use it for DLC or the like since I know they already have a composer for the game. Inspired by the amazing Jack Wall Score on ME1 & 2, I decided to step away from my basic trance style and try something a lot more cinematic. From a musical standpoint it really is not that complex but from a sound design standpoint creating the sound scape of this track with a huge arry of VST synths was quite the challenge. I used a number of synthesizers from HG Fortune on this namely "Avatar" and "Protoplasm TSM" http://www.hgf-synthesizer.de/ ; if your into making music I highly recommend these synthesizers. The rest was layer after layer of Reactor 5 user Synths and the sampled strings for that more human feel. I will say that my mind thought a lot about Daft Punk's recording for the new Tron film on this. Ironically it was composed in "Reaper" a wonderful DAW http://www.reaper.fm/ The illustration of Tali'Zorah nar Rayya the "Quarian" was also done by me in Corel Painter. Anyway this is simply for all you die hard Mass Effect Fans out there, consider this a serious piece of fan art.
  5. http://66.90.118.45/soundtracks/sonic-the-hedgehog-2-hedgehog-heaven/scvjrpgeba/05-jaysonlitrio-hilltopheaven.mp3 I found this remix on the web. I really like it, cool and downtempo. Is Jaysonliltrio a member of OCR?
  6. Hey guys, this is a remix I did back in November. Really wish I could go back and do it over , with all of the experience I gained from my classes and just plain trial and error. But it was still a good indicator I guess. Check it out!
  7. Been playing the new MK game for 360 and definitely inspired me to have a go at this catchy as song! Lemme know what you think! http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10652943
  8. 2 Years old production. It's sitting in my hard drive and cannot be modified cause of the project getting lost. ( Format ) Remix : Source : Edit: Darkhia is my old production name. But it sounds stupid since I grew up ^^.
  9. this was done for DoD a while back, it's been revised since then, is it OCR material? Mario GolF, btw.
  10. Just Chill-Soundcloud "Dude. Enough with the quick beats already!" Yes yes - I promise the next one will really be a built from the ground up, legit production. But hey, it IS a community no? Different styles etc etc. Title kinda says it all, and I actually did this a few months ago, but figured why not post. Nothing special, just some additional chords/basic melody added to the subject loop. I seldom sample THIS hard, but it couldn't be helped this go-round. Warning:May bring about extreme nostalgia.
  11. Song title: " "Composer: Johnathan Johnson / ProjectTrinity Album: None Goal: To gain subscribers/fans~ =p Critique is always welcomed, but if you do, please note that I know next to nothing about music theory or any other technical thing; I compose music that sounds good to my ear. No training or special phrases under my belt. :"3;
  12. (Updated with new link) http://soundcloud.com/erineclipse/gr...l-zone-remix-1 Description: A light uplifting techno and bass remix of Green Hill Zone. Music celebrates the fashion of classic midi renditions of early 90's trance and pop masterpieces. After careful thought, some parts of the song were omitted.
  13. Hi all, I know I like to make tracks that are longer and start soft, making you wait for the big moments.. which doesn't always work on the internet where you get 5 seconds to pull a listener in before they get bored and click to something else, so I thought I'd make a track that started with a bang and kept it up (most of the time). I was thinking of a scene on the high seas, though there is a part in the middle where it gets pretty tranquil and ambient where I was seeing a night sky, which I suppose you can see pretty well from the ocean without all the light pollution. Anyway, feedback appreciated! http://jaredcowing.com/crestrunner.mp3
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPCX9GQpt4Y Hi everyone! I made this using FL Studio. I'm fairly new at this, still learning how to eq and mix, and use effects. Constructive comments are appreciated! Thanks.
  15. A moment...SoundCloud To those who feel like I've butchered a classic, I apologize. However, after listening to the song the other night, I just felt compelled to make a quick, simple beat out of it. I hope some of you find some enjoyment out of it.
  16. Hey! Reunion Netlabel is where you find free electronic music, released at a steady pace, with HQ music from many people from this community, but also from the net label/demo scene/music scene in general. Check us out, OK!? http://reuniverse.org (200+ FREE tracks!) -.------------------------------------------------------------ Oh yes, to prepare ourselves for the upcoming 180 release, here is part 2 of the deFusion & Saiko remember marathon. In 2004 Nick & Peter decided to call their project Plantbane and they had a track released on Subco under that pseudonym. That track, namely "The Last Ingredients" has now been re-released here on Reunion along side another, unreleased Plantbane track, called New Life!! - Be prepared for two really great, blood-pumping psy- tracks, from our "Easily Embarrassed" heroes! PS. The site will undergo a small re-haul for 180, so It might take an extra week for the next release to get out. Stay Tuned! 17. A friend of mine introduced me to Avatar: The Last Airbender a couple years ago, and I got hooked FAST. (Read: 61 episodes in under 5 days.) At some point afterwards, I was inspired to revisit one of the final scenes and give it the "Fantasia treatment". After several takes, I got something that hit most of the key moments pretty well. Here are the results: (Of course - SPOILERS) http://tinypic.com/m/ejsitv/2 (My apologies for the quality of the recording...best I could manage at the time.)
  18. I was originally going to record some abstract music video of the moon on supermoon night but it didnt go as planned. But the more I listened to it, the more it seemed to fit into a soundtrack of a video game; typically a RPG. I picture this track going nice with an underwater stage after losing one of your main party members permanently. Check it out and please give me feed back ! http://youtu.be/APQmVstrpXA
  19. Even more old than the blaster master remix! But I stille got the project. I just lost the wav for the kick and snare ( I Think ^^ ). Anyway enjoy a little bit more chrono trigger. Remix : Source : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7OxaY53Xy4
  20. Hey guys I did this one back in December , i think it was pretty good for the hardware I was using back at the time. Had a decent sounding mix also but I'd love some feedback . thanx in advance!
  21. Circle of 5th progression just to see if neo classical prog house would work. Any ideas? I should go finish that rock track i was working on for crash 3 http://soundcloud.com/aires/circle-of-5th-progression
  22. http://soundcloud.com/erineclipse/onestep My first attempt at a new genre, Heartbop (aka, progressive hip hop.) Please let me know what you think, and what parts you think are crappy.
  23. Greetings to all! I'm honestly posting here to test the waters of OverClocked ReMix by asking if my current production is good enough for the standards around here XD I am not new to the video game music remix scene. Maybe you've heard of me or not (probably not) but if you loved Cave Story's music and looked for remixes then you most likely have. I'm rtnario, the person behind LEAF XCEED Music Division. Video game music is a huge part of my life, and without it I wouldn't even be a musician, quite honestly. When I first started remixing, I never thought I would get as far as I have now in such an amount of time, and I'm at the point where I'm looking for the next challenge. This site is the next challenge for me, the next step in my progression towards video game remixes and video game music in general. In so saying, I decided around yesterday that I'd finally try my hand at submitting a remix to OCR, and this is what I see as the first step. http://rtnario.wordpress.com/2011/05/08/leaf-xceed-music-division-deaths-embrace/ Original Song: Danger (AKA the boss battle theme) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5FR_i-EbDc Game: Secret Of Mana Composer: Hiroki Kikuta I predict that people will mention that regardless of the genre I made a "word-per-word verbatim" cover of the original, and I know I'll have to change that to have more original interpretation from me, but other than that, what else? I would love to hear your opinions EDIT: This won't be the remix I'll submit, I'll work on an entirely new one that concentrates more on the symphonics than the metal. Just saying.
  24. Hey! Reunion Netlabel is where you find free electronic music, released at a steady pace, with HQ music from many people from this community, but also from the net label/demo scene/music scene in general. Check us out, OK!? http://reuniverse.org (200+ FREE tracks!) -.------------------------------------------------------------ So, it's a special occasion, and we welcome another newcomer to Reunion! As some of you might know, I (Jonas Loman) study music production at the Linnaeus University - and I'm in a class filled with talented people from across the country (Sweden). One of those is Emanuel Abrahamsson, a.k.a Audio Hills! A while back we had a sampling project. We had to pick one object at home and record noises and stuff with it, and subsequently make a song ONLY from said samples!!!! From the title of this song you can imagine what Mr. Hills decided to use! Incredible, right? ...Stay tuned for more!(?)
