  3. Hi all, I've just put up a theme I put together for an independent game coming soon. Can anyone guess what the game might be about? Also, there are some hidden references in there to a much older game title, anyone think they can guess it? Hint: it's in the timpani/strings at 1:17-1:20 and in the very first 10 seconds. I'll post more info on the game as the website goes up and gameplay footage comes out. Feedback always appreciated! http://www.jaredcowing.com/title1.mp3
  4. Decided to do another "uplifting" beat. Let me know how the drums are sounding cause I'm still working on getting 'em right! http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=10386285&q=hi&newref=1

  6. I did an electro metal cover of Cascada's hit song! Tell me what you think of it.
  7. http://soundcloud.com/aires/broken-ds Sawtoothin finished or what ever i named it last, i got around finishing this and replacing the place holder kicks effects, synths,etc.... there are still problems, but im not fixing them, i like em
  8. Lots of glitching and FX and filters everywhar http://tindeck.com/listen/wcyh
  9. I'm sure everyone's heard the Kim Kardashian song Jam (turn it up). I set out to remix the song and turn it to something people might actually want to listen to. So far, there hasn't been any dislikes, but I thought I'd put it up here to get you guys opinion. Please let me know what you think:
  10. Yeah, just updated with the finished version of my "Lower Norfair" remix, so I thought I might as well throw this one up as well while I was at it. I actually finished this song before my first version of my Lower Norfair remix, so it doesn't show my complete up-to-date skill. That and I found this song very hard to remix since I don't add in original arrangements to my remixes and since the song is almost nothing but ambiance. Upper Norfair isn't a strong song to begin with, but I think the remix turned out alright, all things considering. Either way, as usual, feel free to comment and enjoy. - - - Song: "Upper Norfair" Game: "Super Metroid" Remixed By: Gavin MacLean Midi Basis By: King Meteor Listen to it here! Download it here!
  11. I recently made a Club Mix in the Euro-Trance genre to "Coming With Resort Feeling", the theme to Otohime Town in Mystical Ninja 2/Goemon's Great Adventure for the N64. It's a calmer kind of Euro-Trance than I usually make and is more akin to old Ian Van Dahl tracks (eg: their remix of Kelly Llorenna's Tell It To My Heart). I stuck quite strictly to the original forumula, so don't expect any Mozart-y OCR type remixing here, but I had fun with it and I feel I stayed true to the atmosphere, which is most important, I believe. To those unfamiliar with the theme, I shall paste links to the original aswell as my remix below. Hope you enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7dyOSRZJPU
  12. Youtube Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLufDtSnENw High Resolution Version: http://www.kongregate.com/collabs/sounds/Kamasenin/castlevania-1-vampire-killer-odyssey-2011?sort=by_newest I put this together for fun over the past week. This odyssey mix features vampire killer, stalker, wicked child, heart of fire, and poisoned mind. It's approximately 4:27 long. I hope you like it. Enjoy!
  13. So I been practicing getting the right amount of bass in the mix. I wrote this little track and played the guitars. Sonic th hedgog did the drums and some other crazy things to make it sound moar awesome. Tell me how it sounds on your system!
  14. Did this one a little while back. Touched it up here and there and now I'm finally happy with it. I'll say it now: This is not a submission to OC Remix as it isn't up to their standards, but if you know me, I'm not aiming for those to begin with. With that said, please do enjoy it. Any and all comments are also welcome. - - - Song: "Ridley Theme" Game: "Super Metroid" Remix By: Gavin MacLean Midi Basis By: King Meteor Listen to it here! Download it here!
  15. http://soundcloud.com/aires/star-heaven 1:15 min Read my Sound Cloud comment. I forgot to add that i kinda did the solo first then make the track from scratch, it was gunna be a Rayman BandLand remix, but hay . (im not trying to copy steve vai, i just happen to make the track symphonic since its made up completly with modes, and not feel that i have wasted 32 gigs on Orch samples)
  16. Decided to try something different than what I usually do so I jumped into making a "Jerkin Type Beat": http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=10362387&q=hi&newref=1 I don't usually listen to this genre so I don't really know if this came out good, average, or bad; what do you think of it?
  17. So I did an electronic/metal type cover of "Hold It Against Me". It's not perfect but hey I tried. Check it out I'll post a soundcloud link later, for now, suffer with youtube. Muahahaha
  18. Yuh yuh yuh yuh. That's how it does. Driving around, listening to rap music and shooting all the jobs. http://soundcloud.com/kiddcabbage/kidd-cabbage-the-hive-cluster
  19. This is a Final Fantasy Fan Game Song I call "Suite of Essence". It's an RPG Maker game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3g1xDsMbMI
  20. Hey there folks. I was hoping I could get a bit of an assessment on this piece I've been working on. And here it is: http://soundcloud.com/times-orphan/tactical-persuasion-v3 For those interested, here's a bit of background rundown. I've been conscripted by a couple of friends to do some music for a CompSci project they're working on (their semester project, which is to make a video game. They're going a bit above and beyond the call of the project, which is cool). I've only just recently gotten into trying my own hand at working with a music studio, but since I've always been the musically inclined one of the bunch, they figured I made the most sense. So, since I hang around here a lot, admiring everyone's works of love and labor, it seemed most appropriate to get feedback from the people I feel I can most trust to give me a fair and accurate rundown of what they think. The project itself is supposed to be reminiscent of Final Fantasy, and likely won't exceed the graphical or artistic scope of FF1 or 2. From what I've seen, the guys are taking many mechanical cues from the series as well. For this reason, much of my music does not necessarily have to be more than MIDI quality...but, just like the guys are doing, I'm attempting to go above and beyond the minimum requirements. So, thoughts? I really appreciate any input you folks can give me!
  21. Let me just say.......I hate rpg games. Except for the Xenosaga trilogy I really don't like them. A friend of mine said I should make the Wild Arms theme into a metal song. So I made this I don't really plan on expanding upon it but what do you all think? Youtube cuz soundcloud isn't wanting to work =(
  22. http://tindeck.com/listen/pgxp Made this to test an arpeggio plugin for a project. Ended up being an actual song(kinda) so I decided to plug in the 4 notes from space invaders into it and make a remix of some sort out of it. Not actually going to do that much with it, but if you could comment on the arpeggio and stuff, it would be greatly appreciated.
  23. SOURCE: ARRANGEMENT: http://soundcloud.com/timotayo/castle-brittania-5000xx I had this game in my old NES catalogue and stuff. But that is besides the point: I tried to go a more trip-hop/dub/electronica route this time... somewhat less retro, though it is still there, I believe. So here you go. It travels places. I hope I can get some feed-back. I might submit, but we will wait and see...
  24. https://sites.google.com/site/hemophiliac/thatplaceweknewpiano.mp3?attredirects=0 ^mp3 of piano reduction https://sites.google.com/site/hemophiliac/ThatPlaceWeKnew2.pdf?attredirects=0 ^sheet music This is going to eventually be read through in about a month. The mp3 is piano because clearly this has yet to be sung and recorded. Things to note: -I wrote the poetry -The fermatas and breath marks will allow for more time in between notes so there will be more breaks/pauses in there. -I consider this finished, aside from possible dynamics tweaks that I may make after hearing it live. I'm open to any comments.
  25. I never really got feedback specifically about this song. I know it's a bit over the topic but it's technically the first song I've ever written and finished: http://tindeck.com/listen/wqkh
