Instrumental & Vocal Skills (Other)

  1. Nope, not a resub of my previous attempt several years ago. Started this one a couple nights ago. It's still pretty rough and subject to MUCH change (synths, sections, possibly vocals, etc), but this gives the general idea: EDIT, NEW Final Version: All previous versions (v3 & on): http://ocrwip.fireslash.net/?a=Nutritious OST: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0pFBWAMvo4
  2. VIP remix of my jazz/pop piano song "For the Emptiness I Feel," found here: http://soundcloud.com/kiddcabbage/for-the-emptiness-i-feel-dnb I hope y'all dig!
  3. Hello all! The Perjurer is a 6 episode series complete with original art, voice actors, plot, and music. And since I'm one of the composers, I thought I'd share one of my most ambitious works for the series. Please critique and comment. :'3
  4. I think this one is ready, but I'm putting it up here to see what you guys think. I kinda doubled the length of every note and then created a latin groove out of it. It was unrecognizable so I think retuned the first melody to fit inside the groove and had that melody come in an out of focus, kinda like a spell's been put on you and then slowly the magic wears off. Original My Remix
  5. Here's a track for a fan game called Final Fantasy Essence. The game itself is going to be using MIDI files, so this is kind of an unofficial take on it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClOUmGMD44M Thanks ahead of time for taking a listen.
  6. I love 80s and Early 90s metal bands. My favorite music actually. So I made a track that reminds me of that time. I do plan to eventually flesh it out into a longer song with vocals and jam it with my band but who knows when that'll be. So for now, it's just some cool riffs and shredding! Try not to choke on the hair spray. What do ya think?
  7. Hi all! This song is a remix of several Sonic the Hedgehog songs, but it seems like Lava Reef and Ice Cap are the most prevelantly used sources. Knux56k and I have a band named Order of Týr that started out playing power metal and, through several evolutions, has come to be band doing what are effectively game remixes. Order of Týr's music is still somewhat power metal influenced, but we also draw from all sorts of electronica, other kinds of heavy music, drum corps, and lots of other genres. We have a new album coming out in a couple of months called Flames of Destiny, and this remix is a track from it. The lyrics were written and sung by the only other member of the band, Donna Brown. Full song list (in order of appearance) ------------------------------------------------------------ Sonic & Knuckles - Sky Sanctuary Sonic 3 - Ice Cap Zone Sonic 2 - Metropolis Zone Sonic & Knuckles - Lava Reef Zone Sonic 2 - Chemical Plant Zone Please take a listen, and let us know what you think!
  8. Hey! Reunion Netlabel is where you find free electronic music, released at a steady pace, with HQ music from many people from this community, but also from the net label/demo scene/music scene in general. Check us out, OK!? http://reuniverse.org (170+ FREE tracks!) -.------------------------------------------------------------ A while back, Skrypnyk released a Remix Album* or the like. The original version of this remix was on that, but with Jillian Goldin's vocals over it. Therefore, the title of this reNix is pretty misleading - this is not an instrumental mix of Jillian's Original, but an instrumental version of Skrypnyk's remix! This hectic drum & bass epic is the 2nd "February reNix Spam Month" release - 2 more reNixes will be released until March hits us! Stay Tuned! *I've learned that "Remix Mania" is no longer available. o_O but anyway here are the links: Direct Download: http://reunion.sgxmusic.com/rnx/rnx007%20-%20Jillian%20Goldin%20-%20Red%20July%20(Skrypnyk%20Instrumental%20reNix).mp3 Reunion reNix page: http://platonistmusic.com/reunion/remix.html Reunion Website (with cooler url): http://reuniverse.org Enjoy!
  9. Song by me and my good buddy from the UCA (ptuca.net). Written in collab there via guitar pro 5, then he sent me his vocals and viola! It starts out kinda death metalish then gets kinda core-ish - that an online collab for you haha http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10272684
  10. So basically....I just improvised some licks over top of this track I made. Tell me what you think. Yes I'm aware I added an absurd amount of chorus and what not to the guitar lol Let's rock.
  11. http://www.mediafire.com/?jn5aa37ak3s9kc5 this is my remix of "Panic Puppet Zone" from Sonic 3DBlast. hope you enjoy.

  14. Original Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LxAGq-6V3Y My Rendition: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/357588 Did this arrangement a while ago. Lemme know what you guys think!
  15. EDIT: Most recent version: Version 8 I subbed this over a year ago, and received 3 "No (resub)s" from the judges, and then pushed it to the backburner while I did a ton of other stuff. Here it is again, with me trying to follow their suggestions, applying what I've learned while working on my side project and Secret Bonus Point, and taking advantage of the new Mod Review system. The remix is a metalcore take on two tracks. Lots of breakdownage and shred. Remix: "The Broken Front" Suggestions? EDIT: Yeah, I spelled "music" wrong in the subject line. Typing in the dark without a backlit keyboard sucks. EDIT: Judges' decision of the prior version can be found here.
  16. I redid my remix From Within with baritone guitars instead of standard guitars. Hope you enjoy!
  17. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/394376 Written for the music behind a daring, dangerous escape. Feedback is ALWAYS appreciated! I'm looking for as MUCH as I can get
  18. Hi, i've just finished a gerudo valley remix which i reckon youll all enjoy, but feedback is important because it helps/encourages me!! Gerudo Valley Remix - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67H1dPaCAbA I've done a song of storms dubstep remix in the past too, which can be found on my soundcloud along with the download for gerudo valley -> http://www.soundcloud.com/lukeraith
  19. Hi there guys, thought I'd share my latest track, which is all free since selling music is little point these days bwhaha. So I hope all of you who check it out enjoy this piece I've done called Seppuku. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/398028 I read a lot about the Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment which was mostly used by the Samurai, and I felt like expressing the emotions that I get while imagining it in my mind. It starts off with the preparations after the choice by the Samurai has been made. I wanted to express this as a confident choice, like there's no doubt in his mind. Like it will be a release into another world. The heavier parts coming up, was made to express the tension as the knife comes into the picture and when he prepares it for the actual action. It then gets more and more intense as he does the ritual in its fullest. Let your imagination picture the scene while listening. The piano transition and the orchestral parts means he has crossed to the spiritual world. He is free, no regret and there's no turning back. Enjoy...
  20. Here's a short test I created using a couple MIDI Guitars. To some of you guys it probably won't sound so finished, but it's alright with me, I just created it as a kind of test, and I don't have the extra time to work on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_aRz04iMoY Everything is one shot/performed, so if things are off here and there it's because I just played it through my keyboard. Here's the MP3... http://www.astralojia.com/music/FF13%20-%20No%20Way%20to%20Live.mp3 Thanks for giving a listen, I hope you enjoy it. P.S - I'm not taking part in the loudness war, so you might have to turn it up to get the full effect.
  21. It's meant to sound triumphant. Have a listen, and lemme know how I did. I need better instruments...
  22. Hey all, Well I haven't been to this site in like forever, submitted only one remix about 4 years ago only for it to fail in the review and where I said I'd redo it, I got a bit tied up (aka Ristar Remix). In any case, I thought I'd share a little video here. It's a video compilation of both remixes and originals that I did with just using the little big planet 2 sequencer. Frown yes (whatever >_> lol) but it was excellent practice in manual composition and designing a track with limited samples and limited resources available to me aka the older standards of classic game song composition. So it was great to get the practice in. Hope you guys like and hope some sound familiar to you all P.S. The swing quantizer in the game sucks and "there is" a very asinine way to get sequences in 3/4 time, so Sector 6 is probably my most unfavorable remix, but it didn't turn out too too bad :/ .
  23. Here's a song I cut last week under the moniker Zeon EX. Its called "Hey, We Can Get Down." It samples "We Can Get Down" by A Tribe Called Quest, but relatively conservatively in my opinion. Its an electro-house track. I hope you enjoy! http://www.mediafire.com/?0yy8db8697u4b2m
