  1. A while back I found an interesting YM/FM soundfont that had a lot of Sega Genesis-esque instruments in it. While it's not exact, it's about as close as I felt I could get without hacking the game, which is something I don't really have enough knowledge to do extensively. Anyway, I started rewriting the soundtrack to Sonic 2 using the soundfont and used a nifty tool that a ROM hacker made that allows you to play MP3s in place of the songs in Sonic 2. I did some palette and stage name changes to go along with my music. So here's what I did for Chemical Plant Zone: Or if you just want to hear the music: http://www.box.net/shared/xm6h1s874x
  2. just some random tune i wrote the other day, kinda reminds me of like the kalm music from ff7 or maybe some chrono cross..
  3. instead of posting separately id save time ive done about 10 sonic mixes, i generally stay close to the original material, worked out by ear and played personally in a sorta funk style hope you enjoy them. (i often video myself playing each part and sync them all together to make split screen videos) .. my recommendations are hydrocity/emeraldhill and chemical plant zone. Sonic 3 Hydrocity Zone Chrome Gadget Zone Sonic 2 Emerald Hill Zone (skip to about 15seconds) Chemical Plant Zone Casino Night Zone Sonic 1 Starlight Zone Springyard zone
  4. Hey guys im new here but i guess some have you might have seen me from youtube, i love playing/mixing/mastering and remixing video game music, mostly streets of rage/sonic/final fantasy abit of zelda and just randoms, sometimes i take requests, ive got a full time job in real life so this stuff is really my time away from doing crappy pop tunes etc, anyways here are some of streets of rage 2 mixes (my thing is that i record myself playing each instrument part of piano and put it all together) Streets of Rage 2 Stage 8 (final stage) Streets of Rage 2 Ending Credits theme Streets of Rage 2 Under logic (Stage 4 i think ) either way hope you enjoy them, critisism is fine also, like i said im actually a professional pianist/producer that being said im not exactly qualified to give any sort of advice on video game music
  5. hey just recorded this tune, made a barque style intro but basically its a cover i just want some opinions on the "mastering" i just "borrowed" a new plugin they got down at the office called "ozone4" wondering if anyone had used it, it seems pretty good but is abit of a resource hog making my audio skip so its hard to hear what i was doing (sometimes i mix on my laptop which is pretty low cpu and when audio starts skipping i normally reset the asio driver) p.s with the music i was going for a sort of "medieval porn" feel, i hope you got that
  6. youtube source this is a goa trance remix an Construction of Mako Reactor thanks for listen
  7. Hey guys, Some people were wanting an extended mix of my TimeShock remix a while back. Here it is on youtube and it should be up on my site as an mp3 within the next week. It is kinda a chilled out longer mix with some different mastering. Hope you like! I don't know how to undo the emoticon in the url.... but you can find it at my youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/DJSiamey
  8. but I actually used sheetso, here my new remix. From final Fantasy VII ´great warrior. http://soundcloud.com/dermrben/red thanks for listen my remix.
  9. Okay, since I haven't shown any of my original work (and this is my favorite piece, mind you) I decided to just throw something out that I made in FL Studio. The hard part was getting a few instruments, as it takes forever to rip it properly. (I don't play instruments, I have a ripper) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RM8IO4iiiPs Wow, first HD video ever, and it's just a black box. Audio quality is a bit better in HD.
  10. Hey all, been a few months since I posted anything but here's something I've had in my head for a while. It's a remix of from Mario Golf on the GBC, a game I spent loads of time on many years ago, and it actually has a surprisingly good soundtrack for a golf game.I've called my remix Clubhouse Electro, but I'm open to suggestions for a name. I was thinking of other golfing puns like "Fore on the Floor", but I'm sure someone can think of something better I've marked it as "finished", but I still think it needs some touching up. Just tell me what and where. Thanks! EDIT: Chopped out some sections as per phantasia's advice, changed up some percussion and a few other subtle effects and tweaks. Changed to Mod Review. EDIT2: Subbed version renamed Fore on the Floor
  11. "Wow! That was noise. Thats all I have to say." --mak You want noise?!?!! I'll show you noise!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAA! haha Just kidding everyone. Here's a new remix I made of the Pokémon Black/White Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyuremu Battle theme. I thought the way it sounded in game was disappointing, so I tried making it better. I like this mix way more than the boring march/ globbing together of previous themes as it is in the actual game. You may think the ending is abrupt (which it is) but still...lol. As usual, no MIDIs were used in the production of this song. Anyways, tell me what you think! (Youtube link for now; bettter link coming soon!) 12. First time posting any music I've made on OCR in many years. I've been keeping at computer music for these past years, but at a very slow, recreational pace. Nevertheless, I think I've gotten to a point where some of the stuff I make it getting closer to being, I guess, presentable music in a sense. Here is my most recent song. It is an orchestral song that I made in FL studio using a couple soundfonts (it's how I started making music and the only way I've learned so far ). Let me know what you think of it if you have any opinion to share. Getting high quality sound isn't something I've really striven for very much, but I won't shy away from comments on that aspect as I do know I could improve a lot in that area too. Link to Google doc folder If you don't want to download to listen, you can stream it from my site at: https://sites.google.com/site/projecteutopia/home/music
  13. This is the craziest thing I've ever made. http://soundcloud.com/theophany/theophany-goa Higher Quality mp3: http://www.mediafire.com/?hcm6od5tjocai2i WARSTEP.
  14. It's so sad...there is none remix of ff Legend III here ! (or i'm blind...) I have something to fill that void... freshly made here : http://www.image-mp3-video.com/page.php?id=35647 ( the original version : )
  15. hey im pretty new here but i saw some great trance mixes here so i was inspired to have a go myself, in my real job im a pro pianist/jazz-rock (and styles inbetween) mixer/masterer but i dont really do trance, for this track i used vsti instrument soft synths (some of which i created) and a couple of custom made effects (i dont have any sort of sound library for trance but i do know how to make most popular trace effects using white/pink noise generators etc (bit lazy to do that today though!) ) anyways i hope you enjoy it, and for this i encourage critisism i never do trance professionally so tips of the genre etc are more than welcome
  16. Howdy djents. This one is pretty intense to play. Used a POD X3 Live, SD2, Reason5. http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=9838826
  17. hy@all have new remix, what do you think! thanks for feedback those chosen by the planet remix i thing it´s a breakbeat core track...?! Thanks for listen my remix:grin:
  18. I don't really plan on submitting this to OCR, I just figured some of you would get a chuckle from it. This is my counterpoint midterm, a 3-part fugue based on Kefka's theme. http://tindeck.com/listen/iipe And before you say it, I know the natural 7th at the end is out of style. Honestly, it was a total oversight and I just didn't care enough to go fix it.
  19. Never posted on this side for the forum before, but I just finished this piece today. Mix advice and critiques are always welcome! http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=9818491
  20. Hello, I play the bass guitar, and my buddy plays the guitar. My area of music is Hard Rock while my friend's is Heavy Metal. We recently decided to start writing some songs to get search for a singer and drummer. This original song I am showing is an instrumental jam, and should be listened knowing that there are no vocals nor are vocals ever intended in this arrangement. Right now this song has a drum machine, but hopefully will find that right drummer eventually. All feedback is encouraged and welcome!

  24. This is an original i just finished making. It's basically inspired by all of the street fighter and guilty gear I've been playing lately. I just got FL studio recently as well as Amplitube metal. This is a test song that i'm very proud of. So, enjoy and tell me what you think any criticism is welcome as well as advice for future projects ^^. (P.S. if anyone can think of a better name let me know) Here's the link to it: http://tindeck.com/listen/gike
