  1. hi, i have started with scoring videogame music a half year ago and i really like it. currently working on my first real job (music for an xbox live game) i have uploaded some of my tracks on my website: http://www.duesenberg-interactive.com/ any comment is appriciated. greetings from germany
  2. Made a Game Cover for The Extreme from FF8. Take a listen, let me know what you think:
  3. For those of you who purchased MMA from EA Sports today you can select “You shall not pass” as your fighter intro in the game (PS3/360). This is the full extended version not released in the game (the shot version is in there) but I am so excited to finally bring this track public as it is one of my newest creations. Being into martial arts for over a decade I was thrilled to be a part of the MMA game and wanted to create a track that had all the excitement and emotion of a fighter walking into a ring. “You Shall Not Pass” was inspired by tracks from Enigma and dramatic scores such as the HALO soundtrack. I wanted to try a combination of heavy triumphant music with a deep side of ethereal mood as a contrast. This track was primarily made with the IK multimedia sample library (Miroslav Philharmonik) and some custom Reaktor 5 synth goodness I brewed up for the analogue side of things. The drums were a combination of Battery and Lime Light. As with my other tracks they are part of my online portfolio. Due to my contract with EA I am not allowed to sell or provide a download link but you’re welcome to take a listen here any time you wish. Thanks for listening.
  4. So this is my first post in a long time now.....anyways I've been at work lately at some new B/W remixes, and this one was my first. A very proud production--provided a small MIDI by LugiaDialga and then went from there. Went WAAAAYYY far from there: solos, key change, new backgrounds, percussion (altho a bit overshadowed, intentionally of course) etc. I'm so proud of this work, I'm posting it as a "finished" product! For now, the best I can do is youtube, but another link will be provided ASAP! LINK: SOURCE: PS: If you're wondering about the funky disonance between the guitar and other synth part at 3:36 (different by a half step) THAT WAS INTENTIONAL; i put in a little bit of dissonance there to pronounce the resolve a few seconds later.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flDlCuzVeDU I was trying to make it less electronic like most of the soundtrack.
  6. Tell me what you think, I worked more on the Reverb since I was told most last mix had really strong compressions and lack in mixing sounds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xdI-E6_1Ww
  7. Not an actual compositional remix but an exercise in production to get used to channel editing and EQ'ing. Used Sylenth, EZdrummer vintage and amplitube 3 through reaper. Any mixing/production errors made? http://www.4shared.com/audio/0VhzYYIM/Underneath_the_Rotting_Pizza.html Thanks
  8. I am a composer for EA, here is some of my original music: http://www.youtube.com/user/SavageLandPictures?feature=mhum I did the lower club afterlife music for Mass Effect 2 on Omega Station
  9. http://soundcloud.com/fli/playing-around-with-my-apc40-a-mix A nice quick mix of some neuro tracks. I don't really feel like typing up a tracklist because the tunes were decided on the spot but feel free to ask what a song is at a specific spot and I'll tell you.
  10. Good day OCR Community, today is a great day for me because I finished a cool remix for a very cool game. Its a very free interpreted remix of the first levels in Doom 1 & 2 (& another short tune from another level ^^) and it is made from scratch without using any source music. Important to know about the song: IT IS ACTION! IT IS EVIL! IT IS A MARINE RUNNING BERSERK ON MARS AND EARTH TO SAVE THE WORLD! -> Its about the coolest way of playing and thinking about Doom. Song: Coolest Way (Doom Remix) Genre: Minimal Electronic (Maybe not so minimal at all...) Length: 4:18 File: 224kbps mp3 Album: The Unrecognized Powers Listen to the song quickly without wasting time: http://www.last.fm/music/Paul+Ograbisz/The+Unrecognized+Powers/Coolest+Way+%28Doom+Remix%29 Download the song together with the whole album: http://vultracide.net/ - I don't like long songs (greather than 3 minutes), but there was nothing left to cut out, and even the first long part couldn't be shortened because it sounded strange and would make chaos in the listener's song structure during play. So please forgive me that 4:18 =D But at least its full of usable content! - The song is basicly divided in two parts. The song's structure is easy to understand and although I tried to be minimal where possible there is very much variation. Most people will be bugged by the first main part, because it's the first part with few changes. But just hear further and i think you will be pleased. - Real Doom music freaks will recognize some nice elements in this song. - There is one sound error (clicking) in the change of main part 1 to part 2. I simply don't care. - Without bass or good headphones this song could be very boring. Leave a comment if you are thrilled positively or negatively. Also try to check out my other old and terribly underrated epic remixes when downloading the mp3 or at last.fm. Thank you all for your interest. Yours faithfully, Paul R. Ograbisz.
  11. http://dew-owns-it.com/oops/Dew%20-%20Prideflayer.mp3 Something I've been working on recently. It's intended to be a boss theme for a fast-paced top-down manic shooter, so it's about 1:45 long and loops once.
  12. http://www.tindeck.com/listen/wywp Whew. Finally finished! Special thanks to Zircon for making an absolutely gorgeous song in the first place, and all those remixers on YouTube for inspiring me to make one of my own. Also learned a lot of stuff while making it. Obtuse and Usa offered up a lot of help as well, so I thank them deeply too. Er, should I call the original "mainstream"? Because if I can, this'll be my first mainstream remix.
  13. yo!! I did this a while back, but id like to have some nice feedback from the pure zelda lovers!! if you don't like dubstep, i dont expect you to like my remix so no need for nasty comments! thanks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmGT3Z1Pav4
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OdvIzCpsfGM http://www.kennethboxall.com Tell me what you think, I don't mind it's sound.
  15. Greetings all! I have recently updated my pro website and thought I'd share one of the new demos for it. ··· http://www.xavierdang.com/promomp3/Xavier_Dang_-_Mecha_Medusa.mp3 This one right here is called "Mecha Medusa", it's a techno track with orchestral elements, kinda reminiscent of the music style found in recent shoot'em'ups (especially Gradius V). The track is an enhanced/finished version of my entry for #thasauce's OneHourCompo094 (finished 1st/24), it is now longer and also features humorous sound design at the beginning... Beware if your speakers volume is loud prior to playing this, as this is mixed rather aggressively (the style begs for it!) Let me know what you think and do not hesitate to check out the other stuff on my website, thanks for your time!

  17. First time poster here. I love video game music, especially the old school 8 bit classics. Thought I'd share some of my music here: http://www.youtube.com/user/gnomencandle please comment and make suggestions. I'm currently using flstudio 9 for most of the stuff. I also tend to have about 5-6 versions of each song I make.
  18. ehhhh damit, ;ooooooooooO http://soundcloud.com/aires/at-first-i-was-like to think this was my gunna be my first twinkle park remix but ayyyy and All my samples were from Sonic the hedgehog 3 and knuckles with Exts and other stuff. but going to master it later.
  19. An ambient original I finished recently. http://soundcloud.com/dj-g-ram-1/lazy-sundays Love it? Hate it? Don't care?
  20. Well, the Astral Observatory remix was a lot of fun to make, and this one was no different. I put a lot into this and it isn't necessarily just a rebuild of the original song, though it is close. Available to stream on YouTube and as last time, an MP3 link is in the video description: Details of the track are below (in italic and small font as a form of spoiler-proof): • Featuring original MM sound effects! The song starts with 12 bell chimes, signifying 12am on the 3rd night. Rumbles of the moon falling are amongst the bell sounds and intro and at various points in the song. A low-pass and reverb'd kick is also used in this section. • After the main part of Last Day is done, it seems like it repeats, but that's not the case. The intro is heard again, this time with 5 bell chimes, symbolising 5am of the "4th day" • After the Moon's Tear hits, I make things more dramatic by continuing on with what sounds a little like a windup-toybox/piano playing a melancholic version of Astral Observatory. It plays once on it's own and once with lower synth-string accompanyment. • The song finishes with a Moon-fall rumble followed by the low-pass reverb kick I tweaked, depicting the moon crashing.
  21. Me playing this yo ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LV8X489TQa0&hd=1
  22. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/367157 Hope to get some feedback on the mixing as thats what I wanted to practice when I made this one. Also, enjoy. :3
  23. Yeah, you read the title correctly. This is one of those "for the heck of it" mixes, and here's the first minute or so...stay tuned! http://www.speedyshare.com/files/24550810/whitenerdy-preview.mp3
