Instrumental & Vocal Skills (Other)

  1. Hello everyone! I'm Eidenlux, and this is my first post - so I deeply apologize for any mistake I could incur into. I'm gonna share with you a tune I've submitted yesterday. Being my first submission to the OCRemix community, I just realized it could've been a better idea to post it here first, so I could have some outside feedback before bring it directly to the jury. I'm not sure whenever this style is widespread, hence the question mark in the title. Basically, it's a blend of Symphonic metal, Cyber metal and Synthwave - Replacing the vocals with lead, "retro"-style synths. So, fo
  2. Hi, Here is a piano arrangement of "Airship" and "Legend of the Deep Forest" (final fantasy 5) https://soundcloud.com/bluelighter0085/final-fantasy-5-flight-over-the-enchanted-forest In its original version, "Airship" was in a heroic mood. I've tried to play it in a different way. After that, it was natural to marry with the forest theme. Enjoy
  3. For now, I call it "High Voltage" You see what I did there? I just wanted everyone to get a listen and maybe let me know what they think of this mix. I worked for almost 14 hours on it. And yes, I still upload on Newgrounds. It's still a thing and still alive.
  4. Hiya, I did a Future Bass/EDM arrangement of Cid's Theme from Final Fantasy 9 (for the Pixel Mixers FF9 album Beyond the Mist), featuring @Earth Kid on vocals. It's a bit different from my usual stuff and there's frog sounds in it, so what's not to like?
  5. Used my keyboard to figure out the notes then I fixed them b/c my god, the left hand stretches 2 octaves frequently on the arp. I'm guessing Akira did this all one handed ...That sounded wrong (or maybe that sounded right). (Probably used a mouse). Anyways...how's it sound? O right. Source:
  6. Circus table from Psycho Pinball! Part of the source used in the intro Part of the source that was used in the other parts Full source --- WIP (2019/08/04) Nothing like coming back to old nearly finished stuff. I didn't really do a lot about the ending. Shortened the intro a little. Maybe it's passable anyhow. Chiseled the middle quite a bit and made the bass filtering more interesting. --- WIP (2016/04/15) Mixing improvements. Close to finished I think, I need to consider the mixing of the bass end, I'd be interested in thoughts about that (an
  7. Mashup of Aquatic Ambiance from Donkey Kong Country and Stickerbush Symphony from DKC2 done in a heavy synthwave style. It's not just a simple medley as both themes borrow elements from the other. The entire track was assembled mostly from memory, so things might not be 100% accurate to the actual thing, but reasonably close? Both tracks are really well-known, oft-remixed David Wise pieces, but I haven't seen anything done quite like this. I'm not the best with production/mastering so I'd love some feedback on that. 8. Here is my remix for one of the many forgotten Capcom fighting IP's that I did for the most recent DoD competition. Enjoyed playing the first Star Gladiator on the PSX and when I was able to get my hands on the sequel for the Dreamcast the OST was absolutely my kind of shit. To say that this source has been on my to be remixed list for awhile is an understatement. Proud of this one because it's the first completed VG Remix I recorded with my new ESP Eclipse that I acquired not too long ago and this remix turned out better than expected. Might change a few things before I submit this
  9. Underrepresented game on this site. Soundcloud.
  10. Hello everyone I could not decide whether to release this song ,but I decided to do it! Here is a remix from Hollow Knight game from The Grimm Troupe DLC, there is a three songs in one I choose to remix it to the metal genre because this fight with him is epic!
  11. Hi, Here is a piano arrangement of Yuna's Decision of ff10. https://soundcloud.com/bluelighter0085/ff10-peace-and-bliss-yunas-decision-in-piano The original music sounds peaceful and a little romantic; I wanted to keep this spirit Enjoy !
  12. Hi all! I completely new to to this site but though the idea of doing some remixes was a great way to stretch my musical wings a bit. Thought I'd introduce myself with my first remix attempt. Soundcloud link
  13. So I submitted this stuff at the beginning of the year and haven't heard anything back on it yet, so it hasn't been rejected! Anywho, here's my take on select songs from Megaman X1-3. I have wanted to do covers of Megaman X stuff for a long, long time and finally got around to it last year! I felt like the majority of covers I've seen of Megaman X stuff has been on the harder side of things, be it metal (with guitar work most of the time lightyears better than I could pull off), or fast electronic stuff, and I always had different things in mind when interpreting the tunes. It's been pretty re
  14. My remix of 'Peach Beach' and 'Daisy Cruiser' from the best Mario Kart game, Double Dash. A GameCube classic. After remaking the first half, I mixed in a little bit of Sherbet Land, Title Theme, Rainbow Road, Yoshi's Island, and finally a little bit of the Race Won music at the end. Hope you can enjoy it! I'm interested in submitting this here; please let me know if this meets the requirements. -Juke Original:
  15. Sekiro Explore Theme (Youtube) My atmospheric version of Sekiro explore theme, hope you guys enjoy it!
  16. Hiya! Another Temple theme cover!? Well, yes I made a cover of this like ten years ago and shared it to ScrewAttack g1 submission thing or whatever. It sucked hard, but it was the best I could do at the time. So when I started getting serious about the video game remixing/covering (btw, which is it!?) I wanted to do this again to show myself how I have improved... and I have, if I say it so myself. Got a bit side tracked on the end riffing, but I thought it needed some heavy dropped D twanging release! Have a lovely day y'all! Original tune:
  17. Hi! This is probably my best cover out of eight that I have put up on Youtube and Spotify. Having hard time finding any kind of audience/community to share these so I figured this is the place where I can find some video game music fans that give opinions and hints! I try to be pretty faithful to the original arrangements and bulid my own stuff on top of that cos' it brings my piss to a boil when you have a metal remix of some tune and it's just filled with double kick and djent without anything to do with the original arrangment. So there's my modus operandi, enjoy! Ori
  18. Hey all!! I’ve been following OCR for a long time and gotten a lot of my musical inspiration from listening to community albums, mostly in the Sonic series. So I figured I would post one of my recent mixes here! This is partly a self-advertisement, so feel free to remove this post if that’s against a rule, but I’m mostly just looking for feedback on production. I have a lot to learn when it comes to mixing, and I really want to get better so I can create clearer and more cohesive masters. All tips are appreciated!! But here’s my take on “Rude Buster” from DeltaRune. And if you e
  19. I submitted this a year or two ago, it (eventually) came back with some feedback, some of which was good (helpful mixing tips), some of which was bad (no, I'm not going to re-write the entire song, mate). I submitted a second version based on the mixing advice, but it never showed up. SO I'm guessing whoever thought I should restructure the song based on their whim got pissy. Anyway, for what it's worth, here's the review: https://ocremix.org/community/topic/45559-no-jazz-jackrabbit-jdhd/ And here's the first version, replete with video: https://www.youtube.com/wa
  20. In my ten years as a member of OC Remix, I've only ever once submitted a song to the judges, and said submission was soundly (and rightfully) rejected. Since the time of my last submission (approximately eight years ago), I feel that my musicianship has improved markedly, both in terms of my ability to arrange a song, and my ability to play instruments. As such, I am submitting a remix that I feel confident will get accepted, and even if not, I am still satisfied by how much I've grown as a musician. Having said all that, my remix is of the ever popular (at least among us YouTube remixer
  21. Hey all, Took and uptempo approach and made an epic dnb infused style mix of the iconic Roxas theme, "The Other Promise". I take some chances here while throwing in some inspirational elements from two other games (one also involving the number 13. Can you guess which?). ENJOY! ORIGINAL AUDIO:
  22. Sup guys! So this is one of my tracks from my album "Video game rapper". I remix the "Bar Stage" them from Streets of Rage and put some vocals on it! Lyrics are about drinking and fighting at the bar. Got a smooth touch!
  23. Whats up everyone! I created a video game vocal album called "Video Game Rapper", and this is one of the songs on the album! This song called "Princess Ruto" is a love song dedicated to Princess Ruto from Legend of Zelda. It is sung from Link's perspective. Its a smooth R&B track with a good bassline and has my vocals on it (yes it's autotuned, intentionally)! I submitted it to OCRemix, hopefully it's added! Princess Ruto: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1CU-OQpbDUbqw-i2TlfKYGX0oKQxs1e2q P.S. I'll post more vocal tracks from the album once I release it ne
  24. Link (can be streamed or downloaded) For those not aware, Sinjoh Ruins itself is already a medley of several tracks from Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum for the DS. Both Sinjoh Ruins and its main source, Mt. Coronet, are unusually quick and complicated for Pokemon area music (only really rivaled by some of the important battle themes, i.e. Giratina's), while this remix looks to expand on segments that don't get as much presence as they could have (the second half of Mt. Coronet, Giratina's theme, etc.) and also adds in some new stuff (Arceus, Distortion World). There's also the Pokéa
