  1. Hi,i want to share these soundfonts that i made : Chrono Cross Chrono Trigger (There is already one by TSSF but some instruments are missing) Final Fantasy 9 Secret of Mana (Credits to Blitz Lunar for the original one,i just cleaned the Distorted Guitar,Flute and Fingered Bass, now they sound correctly) Seiken Densetsu 3 http://www59.zippyshare.com/v/vy8oaDHQ/file.html Enjoy !
  2. I feel really confident about this piece. I know I've improved on the structure and pacing better than my first attempt at a Darius Twin remix (of the main boss theme). I went overboard, too crazy with the first one. Some of the beats were off-pace. I find it to be a cool listen from beginning to end, but it's also messy in places, and some of the transitions aren't very good. I'm going to have to redo the entire track one day. This time, I'm sure I got it right. I already filled in the remix submission form yesterday with the 192kps mp3 attached before making this thread. That's how good and accomplished I feel about my newest completed remix. Did I make a mistake here? It's my first time sharing any music I do on this forum. ^^; I normally share my music on both Soundcloud and Newgrounds. After listening to my track "Narukinians at War" enough times, I think I'll link to where you can hear it on NewGrounds. Yeah, the track sounds a bit better there. It's got the timer on the track at the bottom, similar to Soundcloud, so we're good on that. https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/988306 I say more about my remix in the description. I don't mind extra feedback. And, I don't remember hearing a remix of the Narukini theme done by anyone else. Would any of you know of anyone else who did, or attempted to? I'm just curious. If so, I'd like to hear the music! There's not many Darius Twin remixes in existence, as far as I know.
  3. Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post, but this is a bit of an "art" project to me. I've been making a VGM "Fake Book" (it's like a compilation of charts with rhythm notation, chord charts, and two monophonic voices harmonized in a typical jazz arrangement style), and I wanted to share the progress with OCR in case anyone could get some use out of it. I suppose, in some sense, this is my "visual art project" relating to game music. It is a labor of love, so it is incomplete but entries are always being added to it. I'm in the phase of adding the finalized products to the book (many pieces are already transcribed/reharmonized and just lacking final draft) and would love some feedback from the community. I'm not making the whole book available to the public, but I'd like to share some excerpts and see what you think! Table of contents: I've included a .pdf file of "Dark World" from A Link to the Past. You'll notice that my sheets are made into two main sections: "Head" Think of the top line as the main melody, second line as optional harmony/counterpoint. "Vamp" The top line is what most of the accompaniment is providing in the source recordings, but re-voiced/re-harmonized in some instances that I found necessary. I didn't just sit with these pieces and add "7"s to every chord to make it "jazz". The basslines are an attempt to make a 1-1 transference of some bass lines if I find them particularly iconic (it may not be up to me to judge), but may be simplified in some places for "ease of use". The notes are written with an "X" instead of a traditional note-head because I wanted these to indicate rhythm as well, not just pitch. There are chords notated above the top line of the "Vamp". I believe them all to be accurate and have taken some liberties (but nothing too out there) where I heard implied harmony. I was mostly looking out for improvisers and guitarists. The idea was to have the pieces as informative as possible, while also making a clean and comprehensive chart that is easy to sight read. You can take this info and rearrange it for so many mixed groups! I am looking for feedback in the following areas: Ease of Use Accuracy of Melody Harmonic Interpretation Legibility/Comprehension Anyone taking the time to review and critique would have my personal thanks and I'd be happy to provide them more sheets for their time (if interested). Thank you! VGM Fake Book - Dark World.pdf

  7. Hey, all, so I thought I'd drop these early projects of ours here for you to check out. The first one is called Echosystem, Vol. 1, which was dropped back last year. Mostly leans towards EDM, with plenty touches of ambient and that good ol' retro vibe. https://kronotiqsounds.bandcamp.com/album/echosystem-vol-1 (Here's a SC link for it too) Second one was dropped this year, called the Echowave EP. We're actually working on Echosystem Vol. 2 right now, so this is the in-between project. It's a 5-track EP , and while it's still electronic-focused, we tried to update the energy from the last one with some jazz, hip-hop and drum & bass. https://kronotiqsounds.bandcamp.com/album/echowave-ep Hope you enjoy! Let us know what you think! - ichordic
  8. REDUKED: Duke Nukem OST Remixed. Deluxe Edition. Hi everyone! it's been a while since I posted something here, but I'm glad to announce my new remix album: REDUKED. Deluxe Edition. REDUKED is a electronic musical journey through Duke Nukem Universe. One track from the album has been featured here. Now I'm releasing the whole thing as a double album with 10 tracks each. DOWNLOAD Specifications: 24 BIT Stereo 48,000Hz Remasterized tracks. Normalized to -13 LUFS DB to prevent ear fatigue. I'm not asking any specific price for download, because I'm not the author of the original tracks (credits goes for Lee Jackson and Bobby Prince) Although any donations wouldn't hurt, especially to support future original music releases Thanks guys, for all the support and encouragement, I hope you enjoy it.
  9. Hi here is my new remix of the legend of zelda I use just vintage and analog sounds Give me your opinion Good Listening Original Track
  10. Hello everyone. Long time OC remix appreciator, occasional poster, and overall easy going guy Today I'd like to share with all you lovely people at OC remix something of my own idea.... even though the concept may already be similar to what some other youtubers have done, however with my own unique flare on things! So the purpose of this thread, is obviously to get some constructive feedback, on ways I can improve it, or thoughts, if you love the series, well that's awesome, I'm doing something right aren't I? Essentially I play a game picked at random by a spinner designed by my wife, graphics work done by me, and then I play that game for approximately 10 mins, using Shotcut as my video editor and Audacity as my audio recording software, edit the video, then add my commentary in after doing the edits. However I try and leave in as many stuff ups, screwups and deaths as possible to make the game more real, I tend to just remove loading screens, dialog, or anything that takes away from the actual gameplay itself. The reason I do that? Well I believe it creates a more realistic feel to the video that way. Initially I thought of an idea, and was going to call it throwback thursdays... then was told that this idea was tried TOO often, or too mainstream / wouldn't work, I have a small following on twitter, so I put out a vote on a new series name, and the name Casual couch gaming won. So here ladies and gentlemen, is a link to my Youtube series of Casual Couch gaming, which I update weekly with new videos. Now this isn't just a shameless self promotion, I also wanted to talk about the concept of a spinner, no I'm not talking about fidget spinners.... get out of here with that nonsense... I already have the spinner designed and have used it as seen in the series, I've since done a visual overhaul to the spinner slices, and had my wife whom is a coding goddess make some major changes to it visually. Do you think an informational video showing the first version, and now the polished final product would be interesting or nah? I really want to share my story, or at least be proud of my work, like yes my wife did the coding, but I had to do the leg work of sourcing the images, and logos, using GIMP photo editor to create each slice individually, was an arduous task, and I rushed it initially... but I wasn't happy with it, so I redid the pieces all over again, with better quality and more patience than the original spinner. Anyway I don't want to make this post TLDR. Would love to hear your thoughts and opinions! From your casual gamer Magnus_Tsunami
  11. Figured I ought to share my stuff here. Lots of different things, mostly stuff made from my eclectic collection of virtual instruments (Kontakt etc.), weird old analog synths and the like. I prefer to go for mood/storytelling than whether or not you can dance to it. Lots of horror/ambience in here. playlists: https://soundcloud.com/tymime/sets
