  1. https://youtu.be/dFGHPBSCf8U Hey guys! This was a really delayed remix due to IRL schedule being too much lately. I'm never satisfied with some of my remixes and could rewrite or add new stuff for months before feeling that it is complete. But we all know we need to leave some ideas behind and just be happy with what we got at the moment. I'm suspecting this could be a song I'll come back to in the future when I really starting re-remixing my older songs. Starting just like the original with part 8-bit drums, and part ordinary drums. Then halfing the already fast tempo by adding my usual snare and taking back the 8-bit one. Then when the original loop ends I've added a fresh solo/melody over the original chord progression. After that I take the intensity down a bit with a Steely Dan inspired part followed by my usual atmospheric part (where I use one of my latest syntesizers for that tenor sax) with a smooth jazz-ish section. Back to the original chord progression with a solo that's actually a melody from the original song. You can hear it in the background a bit in with an oboe sounding brass instrument (not sure exactly what instrument it's supposed to be). I end the remix by repeating the main theme followed by strings and tenor sax at descending tempo.
  2. https://youtu.be/0FhaA3-XSgw Hello! I have some music from a project I did a while ago that I'd love some feedback on if they're a good fit for submission to this site. I made a total of 20 covers for a Celeste mod called Quickie Mountain 2, which was directly inspired by the SMW kaizo hack Quickie World. I tried to get out of my comfort zone with the genres I chose for the covers, and as a result I know that some of tracks are a little too out there to hold up outside the context of the game. However, here is the first level's track that I think is a fun take on the classic tune. For this track, I was inspired by the growing definition of "digital fusion" and some of the silly, care-free jam sessions that sometimes you just get lucky enough to record. It's a piece that I rarely heard covered, and even though it's a bit of a departure from the original I still tried to keep all of the core elements of the original arrangement. Anyways, enjoy! Bean~
  3. This is a source I've been working on for probably the longest out of any of them. It's gone through hip hop, orchestral jazz, and now Gypsy jazz iterations. I'm gonna stick with the Gypsy jazz arrangement and take it to the end. Source: ReMix: Super Django Brothers
  4. This is just a rough draft but an idea I had while fiddling around with some hip hop/lo-fi sounding fonts. Feedback, ideas, if anyone wants to rap to this? I'm not done with it yet, but I'll hopefully get the full thing done soon. ReMix: Mario World - Map/Star Power Themes ReMix Source: Map Star Power
  5. Hi Everyone, Here is my newest ReMix i'm working on. This time i decided to arrange the popular Sub Castle BGM from Super Mario World. I tried to do something different by using a more "upbeat" approach, while still remaining the dark/menacing mood of the source. Probably needs some work on the mixing.
