edited... the new idea is to take a song from any numbered megaman game and alter the time signature so the new time has a number from the game of origin e.g. Songs from megaman 4 can be in 5/4, 3/4, etc., songs from 7 can be 7/8 or what have you, 6 can be in 6/6, 6/4, and so on. originally the idea was for "megaman 3/4" which involved only megaman 3 and 4 songs and put them all in 3/4. But not enough expressed interest and a lot of megaman 4 songs I don't feel work well in 3/4 (specifically wily castle 1, which I think could sound great in 5/4).

Hello OCR, another cover is finished. This one is very short, but was very challenging to make. Last two covers where (mostly) done with midi. I was advised to use more physical instruments and let go of the original form. Though the form is still original, I did give it a twist. As always, I wont be working on this one anymore than I already did. Feedback is welcome, any ideas or direction you think I should go or try out is welcome too. Above all, Enjoy!

We all know that the Castlevania's musicical roots can be traced back to classical, romantic or possibly even baroque roots but can still easily be mixed into a metal sound. But what genre of metal would you most likely classify the Megaman X series? Other then generic metal the only thing I can think even kind of resembles MMX is Children of Bodom's Powermetal. The X series is just so upbeat that I think it's the upbeatness is what seperates it from most other metal genres. That and obviously being composed by several people at most and not full blown bands. The above videos lyrics aren't necessarily upbeat but the instruments themselves definitely are. I feel like there are probably japanese bands that are inspired by either the X or Castlevania series that I don't know of. Perhaps synthmetal? Sorry if this topic doesn't belong here but I didn't know where else to put it.

UPDATE: So I'm a liar, I did work on it again... I tried to balance the instruments more, Gave it some variety in the second part, Did my best to improve the sound of the lead instruments and hope I kept the balance/dynamic/drive after the build-up (Most Trap phantasm/factory covers I hear screw that up..). (Why the first video is so big is beyond me...) As Always, T-Ape has a new costume, This time Prometheus his helmet...In Biometal form...I think...Whatever. Enjoy! [Version 1] Here is my Remix of Trap Phantasm. Enjoy. It's finished, I won't be working on it more than I did already. Feedback is always welcome, check the checklist in the top thread. Note: This is my first remix that I made public and definitely not the last. The artwork is made by me, I will make a cosplay for Ape with every remix I make. Second one is almost done.

OMG IT'S MEGA MAN!!!! I was making a final project for my Graphic Design class; so of course, I looked for my old Surface Pro 3 doodle of "Mega Man" I did at the Atlanta Mall. After redrawing the images and getting the base colors onto it, I started shading the image and applying some shines onto his armor and gave a bit of a mix-color onto the rifling of his Mega Buster, as well as the inside of his ear-hole-things. I added a slight lighting texture afterwards, and used an old gear texture I had made a few months back. I put a translucent blue gradient in front of it, and concluded with my signature and the "Mega Man" logo. So guys, how did I do, for a 17-year old with a Windows XP tablet? Thanks for reading... ~W. Wow....so much has changed since I was last on here OwO; Anyways, if you're familiar with Mega Man 4, then you know it's soundtrack is really underratred, almost like "Mega Man 5". Among the other popular tracks, like Pharoah Man, Dive Man, Skull Man, and the Cossack Stages, Ring Man's has always been one of my personal faves. As for genre, I was thinking maybe try some funk jazz with this track, see what can be done. Seriously, if "brentalfloss" was able to do this with Crash Man's Stage from Mega Man 2 (https://brentalfloss.bandcamp.com/track/crash-man-funk-remix), then I firmly believe you guys can pull this off.

Hey, this is my first remix that's anywhere close to completion so I figured I should post it in the Workshop and see what people think. Basically, I was doodling around in SONAR one day and realized I could very easily turn it into the Bonnes' theme from Megaman Legends, and it eventually turned into this. Any advice is welcome. Source: ReMix: http://tindeck.com/listen/mwlwx And if there are any errors/missing information with how or where I posted this, please let me know. edit (7/8/2015): Updated the link with a newer version.
