  1. Another video game music remix of the Sinistral Battle Theme (Battle #3) I'm currently working at. It will take some further time for the finished version - but I think it's already pretty nice. 2. This is my first time posting to these forums and submitting a remix to them. I just recently got what I believe is called a step sequencer on my computer, LMMS in this case. After wrestling with it for a while, I created this remix. It is the two different walk about themes from Dragon Warrior/Quest 2. I have some varying styles in this...I like them, but also I did it so some of those varied styles could be heard, and perhaps one of them might work for the entire track, as opposed to the contrasting genres heard here. I added the celebration theme for when you add your final party member between the two different themes, and also added a footstep sound that you hear in the game for when you enter/leave a town. Not sure if those are needed. I also don't know how well I EQ'd this. I "split the difference" between different speakers and devices for playback, as I was surprised how different the same track can sound from one set of speakers/device to another. Thank you for the constructive feedback ahead of time, and please take into consideration my extreme inexperience:) Edit 3-18-18 Latest version at the bottom of this post. Layered some things differently, changed some parameters on a couple instruments, and added a couple little personal touches:) Edit 3-21-18 Latest version at the bottom of this post once again, fixed a couple of sour notes that made themselves known at the end of the tune. Edit 3-25-18 Changed some EQ. Also altered some of reverb on some instruments, as suggested. I also changed the drum pattern in one section, I had 16th note kicks in the section in question; I decided that was overpowering and changed that to quarter note kicks. Edit 3-28-18 Changed some EQ again...I have two versions posted below. I have the one labeled Latest Edit, and I have one below that labeled Different EQ. If I could get some feedback on the EQ on those, and be told which one sounds better EQ-wise (not taking into consideration overall volume), that would be greatly appreciated:) Edit 4-4-18 I only have one version in this post now, and it's my latest edit. Advice was taken, and changed a couple things based on that, as well as a wee bit more EQ change, and a couple small changes that came to me in the moment. Thanks for your listens and comments!:) Originals Latest version

  5. Yo! I uploaded new cover on YouTube. Time for some tactical cardboar...krhm i mean espionage action! :D. In this arrangement, i focused more on drums so i could bring some 80's or 90's feel for it. Feedback is appreciated! Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  6. Hello! I finished new cover for Pokemon - Bicycle Theme. I recorded some strings to spice my lead guitar parts, so the whole arrangement would sound much fuller. Feedback is welcome :)! Here is the cover: Here is the original soundtrack:
  7. Yo! I published my first collaboration cover with Arzie Van Dee :)! It's Mega Man 2 - Dr. Wily's Castle Theme. 8. I know - it's not quite a video game remix. But I'm trying a lot of things with guitar sounds for my videogame remixes in these days. So, I decided to create an instrumental composition for a famous TV series opening from the 80s to use my new self-made raw (slightly distorted) clean electric guitar presets. Further information you can find in the description of the upload for Youtube. Maybe you can give me some feedback how you like the guitar sound, the new drums, the piano stuff as well the rest of the remixed soundtrack. 11. A remix I really REALLY wanted to do, and probably turned out to be my best remix yet. No midi was used just so midi haters know.
  12. Hi guys, i want to share my newest Project with you. Its a Remix of the F-Zero X Series for the Nintendo 64! Its my absolutely favorite theme of this game, and i'm very proud on this Remix. My Remix Original Version: Greetings Matzino
  13. A piece I threw together and recorded at my house, I'm just looking for feedback on the composition more than the recording standards itself, But pointers on how to record are well taken as I don't really do Mixes. It was recorded in audacity too make it that much more disgusting. But thank you to everyone who listens too this, it's probably the first video game thing I have recorded properly in a while, and yes All parts bar the drums are real instruments, recorded one over the other.
  14. This is a little rock remix of the opening theme from the Pokemon anime series. It's my first remix of an anime soundtrack after making a few remixes for several videogames. I'm not the typical die-hard fan of Pokemon - but I loved the anime when I was a child. Pretty fluffy and hearty stuff with a nice touch of adventure. Some time ago I've listened to the opening theme of the anime once again which has a really decent melody I still like - and I thought that this could be a nice track for improving my virtual guitar skills. So, I put some effort into the articulation of every single guitar note. Sometimes I tought for hours about where the different articulations or playing techniques (like long played notes, hammer-ons, tappings, slides or some FX guitar sounds) might fit best within a short guitar sequence. But I got into it after some time and I think this helped me improving my music production skills a little bit - especially for creating much more realistic guitar sounds. Thanks to my really awesome virtual guitar amplifier Vandal I could give the guitar sound its totally unique style and make a decent final touch with a little bit hall reverb and a little bit more pinging stereo delay - really good combination for reverberant but also strong, assertive guitar sounds. I've also enjoyed working a bit more with velocity dynamics to bring some more life and vibrance into the track - but it's still pretty tough for me to find the right balance between the velocities of the different tracks within a song. Already a velocity value change of just 10 out of 127 can make a perceivable difference between hearing single notes in the whole mix and not noticing or at least not feeling them anymore. But I will work on this in the future. Just as usual I've mastered this remix at EBU R 128 loudness standards and used absolutely no compressors or limiters for keeping the full, natural sounding dynamic range and best possible hi-fi sound quality. So, check this stuff... Original Intro Theme: >>> ---------------------------------------- Newest version of my remix: 1.0 >>> >>> https://clyp.it/ymrif5kn

  16. Yes, yes. I know. We're supposed to be getting Alex for this month. And I'm waiting for that heavily. But if it's an Alex concept you're looking for, Check out MaxieDaMan's concept here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KtVq...If any of you played 3rd Strike, you know that was the game to come home from school and start playing. While New Generation and 2nd Impact were good, the hugest mark left on us was by 3rd Strike. And with Urien and Alex joining the roster along with some returning cast, you know it's gonna be lit. 3rd Strike had some of the greatest music (Aside from the online remixes. Some of which were good and I enjoyed. You'll hear a bit of that here.).I'm gonna try and make a new theme every week. But I have a surprise in September for you guys. Keep watch.
  17. Since Street Fighter V is well on it's way to PS4 and PC in less than sixteen days, I decided to do a short little project and create a concept theme for a character in another Street Fighter Universe. Kairi Mizukami is a character (A favorite of mine, actually) from the Street Fighter EX series, which was born from the collaboration between Capcom and Arika. There are a lot of EX characters that I want to see return and hopefully, Arika decides to work with Capcom again later on down the line.In all honesty, I was thinking about doing a concept album for characters, EX and all, who aren't in the game. I don't know yet, depends on how people like this one. I wanted to capture the essence of SFV while still keeping the original sound of the EX series theme. Lemme know what you guys think.

    Sonic - Boss theme Remix

Spent a week on this thing, mostly trying to compress and reverberise without it sounding like complete garbage. I've been playing the guitar for over ten years and have written lots of music over the years but never really learnt how to record or use DAW's. I only found out what compression did about 5 months ago, which is embarrassing. So, still learning the vast nuances with actual music production and 'sonic space'. I was originally going to use the old six-string for the lead bits in this but couldn't get a recording that didn't make my ears bleed, I don't even have an audio interface and the only hardware I DO have is an Akai - LPK25. All the samples I've used are free ones and so are the VST's. Original:

    Resident Evil 2 - Ada's Theme

Hi, everyone! It's kinda intimidating for me to post a topic here. Especially since a lot of my favorite ReMixers already precede me by sharing their own WIPs with you all before they quickly became really outstanding pieces of music. I recently worked on a remix of 'Ada's Theme' from 'Resident Evil 2' and, as I know it's far from being perfect, I was wondering if I could get some very helpful advices from you guys. Maybe it'll help me make the track … listenable. Original Source: Remix (ver. 2.0): http://www.mediafire.com/download/8d42zq42ypd23ee/Ada's+Theme+%28ver.+2.0%29.mp3 I do not expect it to be good enough to be submitted to OCR, I am way too bad at mixing and mastering to make it sound THAT great. I just wish I could end up with the best arrangements I possibly can for it. Thanks in advance.
