OceansAndrew Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 http://www.coginu.com/2008/01/06/a-new-kind-of-orchestra/ the music is kinda ass, but the cucumber/bell pepper oboe is sweet, as is the carrot flute. A bit too many percussive instruments for my taste, but they are working with what they have. Quote
djpretzel Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Now You're Playing With... Vegetables? A fruit orchestra would sound much... squishier... but the aftermath would taste much better. V8 should hook up with these guys for a marketing campaign; cool stuff. Quote
avaris Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 that friggin carrot flute is AWESOME! Whatch EWQL come out with a music library for a veggie orchestra. Quote
anosou Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 It's kind understandable that it's mostly percussion though, you try making a violin out of a melon Quote
Fishy Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Gotta love experimental music groups that take a retarded idea and actually make something groovy out of it. Quote
Liontamer Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Fun video! Yeah, V8 should have them do a commercial. Quote
friendlyHunter Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Boy, I sure don't like the recording/editing in that video; they just keep showing the same few instruments over and over again. Makes me wish I could see them live... but maybe that's the idea Quote
Sinewav Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 That was pretty intense. The only thing that really bothered me was that 3:45 sounded like a tribe of dying wookies, and 5:00 sounded like a bunch of mice raping a cat. Still, the carrot flute and the pepper kazoo were friggin' awesome. Quote
Sobou Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 My jaw actually dropped when the woman tested out the carrot flute. I didn't realize that you could use veggies like that, and actually make good music to boot. Quote
Fenrir Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 A bit too many percussive instruments for my taste Thank you for bringing this to my attention because it is awesome, and I commend you for it. But I must disagree with you and call you a fool, because I see the variety of percussion as a testament to their ingenuity. Quote
