Lunahorum Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 no experience in that area, but I assume the answer is practice. Everyone sucks when they are starting out.
OverCoat Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 1) practice 2) experiment 3) receive feedback 4) apply feedback 5) learn repeat until suckage ends
Garian Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 1) sign up to myspace 2) post a few of your sucky songs 3) friendwhore 4) sign up to ourstage and let your sycophantic friends send you to number 1 5) cause beatdrop to develop an aneurysm actually overcoat has it right. taking feedback and not getting all offended and actually applying it will probably do a lot more for you than getting all uppity when someone points out the flaws.
Skrypnyk Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 1) Download some good songs from the internet 2) Re-tag everything saying you made the song 3) Post everywhere on the internet (excluding the site you download said song from).
Chickenwarlord Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 6. Eventually develop personal style Also make music that you would listen to if you hadn't created it. I find that pieces that I'm satisfied with would go on to my playlists regardless of who created them. Too much personal attachment to a piece can be a very bad thing.
dannthr Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Yes all of that, but also, sometimes you just have to be someone else.
zircon Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Blatantly against our forum rules. We even say in the description of this forum not to ask questions like this. Nicholestien, you make a lot of really thoughtless posts and threads. Please THINK before you post something here. Consider this a warning.
