Faduger Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Why don't songs have a rating system? I often feel when something has a chance to be rated it gets the credit it deserves and can be found by those who seek. Just wondered why it wasn't available on Ocremix. I'm sure it has already been discussed.
Fishy Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 There wasn't one (and there won't be one) because it turns the site into a favouritist popularity contest that leads people AWAY from music they might have otherwise enjoyed. The site is about enjoying video game music. It wasn't discussed because there was actually an independant one on the ormgas ocr radio site, but that got shut down. I believe the new version of ormgas has its own rating system, but i haven't been there in ages. If you want to give it credit, leave a review or send the mixer a pm/email, works all the same, and is more personal then a 5 or 4 stars.
D-Lux Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Everyone should make their own judgments about which songs they personally enjoy.
Bahamut Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 As has already been said, people look for different things in music, and different things click with different people. OCR isn't trying to make a statement on which song is better than another song, but to honor the original compositions.
Skrypnyk Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Wait five thousand years. VGMix will be back up by then. fix d
DarkeSword Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Alright, we can do without taking potshots at other remix sites. > Yeah. No rating systems. EVAR.
