FlashX Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Hi everyone! Can I ask you a favour? Would you all mind passing this link around facebook and the like? I'm trying to raise money through donations to help pay off my house. http://helppaymyhouse.yolasite.com/ I thought id give it a bash and see where we end up Cheers all!!
Bahamut Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 You should make it more obvious where you'd want the donations to go to on that site .
EC2151 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 i know the housing market and economy is tough, but what makes you think a bunch of people from the OCRemix site are going to shell out money for something that you should be doing? Forgive me if I'm not seeing the logic here.

I'm glad you said it - If I brought it up first it would make me look like an asshole. Its one thing to ask for donations for a charity or for a known person here, but to help pay off a house to someone I don't know? I mean, c'mon now. There ARE limits to that sort of thing.
Monobrow Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 You sure got some balls there. But whatever, at least he didn't sign up TODAY to post this. He's had an account since 2002 lol.

Meteo Xavier Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Did you look at his page? Some people actually contributed for a "social experiment". Selfish. Ridiculous. This is a scam. The thermometer is a good giveaway (take a close look toward the right and you'll see what I mean) that this guy's a joker or really stupid. Hope you enjoy that $100, buddy.
The Legendary Zoltan Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Damn! I should have done this, myself! My house costs way more than his! Why didn't I think of doing that?! But seriously though, I think it would be way easier on your conscience and easier to get donations, if you were selling some music to pay for your house instead of just asking for donations.
Gollgagh Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 so uh how did he get that first $101.33 I don't see a donation button anywhere no seriously, I'm having trouble seeing how this can even be a scam if there's nowhere to put your money in the first place
Archaon Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 so uh how did he get that first $101.33I don't see a donation button anywhere I would theorize that it was there to start with. Just part of the image.
The Damned Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 But guys, he's a 2002er! We have to do it, or else we'll destroy whatever semblance of power and authority join-dates have! Anarchy, I tells ya, anarchy!
Brandon Strader Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I'm a 2002er and we've been paying off our house for 14 years, and it embarrassingly wasn't even over 100k. Help us pay it off too. *feels ridiculous* I'm kidding hahah... hah.. *gasp*... It's not even my house. I'M HOMELESS!!
The Damned Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 What are houses running at in the US nowadays? Up here, we're hitting anywhere from $220 000 for trailers to $400 000 for average sized houses.

Houses are so expensive nowadays in America you have to go begging on internet forums just to make a down payment. It's rough times, dude. Rough times.
The Damned Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Ha, ha, ha. No really, what are the prices like now? Just as bad as up here, or are prices all over the place? I can't seem to find a decent source on the subject, and I was just wondering.
