As a metal fan, and considering Miles isn't into metal, I just want to say that jabond's remix is nice. I think though, that the kick kinda cuts the other instruments, but maybe that's 'cause my earphones are shit . Nice synth though.

The entire Mario RPG series has excellent music. I'd like to remix some Mario and Luigi or Paper Mario when I'm not so busy.

(Also, if anyone ever decides to start an album project for any Mario RPG, I'M IN.)

for half an hour to an hour thats awesome I think you should keep at it, I really like it. One thing I think you could put in there (that I think fits) is the Super Mario Bros. 3 - Hammer Bros battle theme in the background

I think that Cackletta's Theme would make a perfect Gothic style (churchy, if you will), with full church organs and a string ensemble. I also always found it very similar to Bach's Fugue #2 in Cm from The Well-Tempered Clavier book. It may be just me, but a piano arrangement that tries to imitate Bach's style could be very successful.
