MasterLionheart Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 In it to win this! Been a big fan of Nobuo Uematsu since I was 12 and he's one of my biggest inspirations for going into music composition.
Baato. Honda Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Uematsu-san has been a huge inspiration to me, all his music is great and beautiful, and it would be a great honor to meet him, and to learn how to compose.
Firecrest Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 TL;DR Version: I'd die for a chance to meet a legend such as Nobuo. TEAM CHOZO!
Brainy142 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 His awesomeness is OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!!! And there's going to be a concert with him playing in Ontario I'm in it to win it! This = MIND BLOWN ps. good luck to all that have entered
RedTigrr Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 In to win, baby!!!! Out of all the VG music that I listen to, I always come back to the Final Fantasy Music for that moment that will forever touch my heart. You will always remember that moment when One Winged Angel comes on and you get absolute chills....
Otoko no Zenyou Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Heres to hoping to finally go to a distant worlds concert. Emergency made me unable to go to my would be first experience
BluPhlame Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I definitely have Mr. Uematsu to thank for my interest in video game music, or rather, music in general. It would be a thrill to get the chance to meet him in person. Ever since the VGL concert, I've been waiting for another to come around my area; I'll definitely try to go to this one whether I win or not.
ZealPath Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 More than anything I'm just mildly annoyed that even though I'm a huge Uematsu fan, I had no idea I was following an imposter page on FB. So, with that rectified, would it be cool to meet him? Hell yeah! I've been to a couple Distant Worlds concerts, one in which he was not present, and I did see him from a distance at the other, but that would not lessen the coolness of getting the chance to meet him up close!
ocre Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Come on, OCR! Take me to Distant Worlds! Uematsu-sama is a genius!
admiralsnackbar Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Nothing stirs the old nostalgia more than Final Fantasy music. Uematsu-san is responsible for a generation of gamers humming a nine note melody at any victory. For that, he deserves attention, respect and the love of the community. Which he has. But it wouldn't hurt to see him at a show!
JSN723 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Posting for the contest. Been a big fan of Uematsu/most FF game music in general.
Magnetic Ether Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 So awesome! I missed the last concert in Toronto, but I don't want to miss this one!
Taural Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Utter genius. Astounding ability to pick music to fit any mood within a setting. Long may he continue to create!
CasualVader Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 It would be friggen' awesome to meet Nobuo Uematsu! He's done some of my favorite video game music. No idea what I would say to him though...
Crescent Shadow Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I've been a fan of Uematsu-san's music for as long as I can remember. His music moves and inspires like no other! Count Me in! Definitely!
Soni Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I've been a fan of Nobuo Uematsu's work ever since Crisis Core released on PSP (Yes, I know, I'm a bit late) But better now than never. Even though the music in Crisis Core are all arrangements of the original soundtrack, it still encouraged me to buy the original FF7 soundtrack as well.
firedude750 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 entering the contest, liked all three even though it's not required. hope i win!
Yuna Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Uematsu is one of the reasons I love music so much! I'd love to meet him!
nevermore4ever Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 When I first played Final Fantasy VII the soundtrack was so immensely touching - I could spend the whole day listening to it (not with that SoftSynth, but with the SoundFonts that came with my sound card). That finally got me started with sequencers myself.
squall180 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Distant Worlds 2010 was magnificent, can't wait for Distant Worlds 2011.
odinblade Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 In it to win it! Uematsu's been great for ages, it'd be amazing to see the show.
bassdeluxe27 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Posting in this epic thread. I of course had to like Nobuo Uematsu on Facebook as well. Thank you for alerting me to this tragedy.
CygnusX1 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 w00t!! Thanks for letting me post =] All time fav VGM from the FF series has got to be "Those Who Fight Further" on the FF7:AC OST
