Jamphibious
Yeah I was bummed there weren't more levels from the Genesis games in general. Although I did read that Casino Night was going to be DLC which is cool. Well its cool as long as it isn't too expensive. I hate it when developers seem to purposely leave stuff out that could've been in the game to begin with and then sell it as DLC. But that could be a cool way to add more levels in the future if the price is right. Its a pinball minigame, not an actual stage, sadly. Its kinda cool and it does have a really awesome jazz rendition of the Casino Night stage music, but yeah. I'm hoping they do include actual full stages in any future DLC. It seems like a smart thing to do, as people like me will surely be suckered into buying additional stages, especially if they include some of the greats like Ice Cap or Lava Reef. Oh dammit you just ruined my evening. I thought it was the whole stage But yeah they should come out with a "Genesis Level Pack" or something that adds more of the fan-favorites from the Sonic Genesis games. That'd be sweet. I'd pay like $10-$15 if it came with at least 5 more levels or something.
Ramaniscence
If they never released another Sonic game and just kept releasing 3 level pack DLCs for this game I'd be happy.

You can get a remade version of it on the 3DS version of Sonic Generations but it doesn't quite look right to me.

NegimaSonic
I do wonder where they can go from here. I mean it still does have potential for expansion, but I don't think they'd dare bother with another Sonic Generations, not soon at least. So should this game be expanded with lots of DLC? Well according to this article on IGN: http://ps3.ign.com/articles/121/1211692p1.html They seem to just want to move on from Generations and create a new game next. I do think it would be worth doing some DLC for this game, but I don't know how much time they'd be willing to devote to it, especially if they have a desire to just move forward. I wouldn't rule out the possibility, of course.

Bleck
this game starts really good but then gets really bad around the halfway mark I'm having trouble determining if it's because of the bad influence of the bad games the later stages are based on, or if it's because Sega has never understood how to make a Sonic game's difficulty scale without making it really frustrating both options sound plausible

Garpocalypse
I think it's the problem that all platformers have had going into this generation. Gamers don't want to die anymore as part of trial and error to get through a stage. To be fair my first run through on about every level resulted in an S rank and i may have died twice the whole time. Compare that to the Ocean level in Unleashed where i burned through hundreds of lives drowning sonic as he tried to run across water. I think SEGA gave generations a perfectly fun level of difficulty though I don't think i'll be playing through planet wisp again ^^ Now that ending boss on the other hand... "That looks like a homing shot!" "Press Y and go after it!"

I don't honestly mind other characters but if it helps sales and stops complaints, a Sonic only game like the last few is good to me. Dave the Rave
I've played both gameplay styles (classic on Thursday, modern on Saturday) at a local GAME shop. I really enjoyed playing it. I'm defintly going to get this game for Christmas.

eternal Zero
Rooftop Run is the best level with the best music in the game and I'm willing to fight you over it. the genesis levels are shitty While I don't agree with the hidden subtext I do agree that I enjoyed Rooftop Run the most. I still insist that all modern Sonic games should have controlled like SA2 and that this game is no different. I like the Colors control theme up until you're no longer right behind Sonic. I like the whole RB/LB to change lanes and the drifting thing but the transitions to platforming/fighting are way too jarring compared to what I feels works so very well in SA2. eternal Zero
Nope. I still play SA2B whenever I visit my parents every 4-6 months cause that's where my GCN is and my siblings love playing multiplayer and raising Chaos. They are pretty solid controls. Arek the Absolute
Crisis city made me want to look into Sonic 2006, then I remembered what a big piece of shit it was and quickly changed my mind. damn its a fun level though

That's bananas. I did go out and buy a used copy of Sonic Unleashed for $17 and it's...not terrible, but not what I would call good. Sonic is so fricken fast he's hard to control, all of the levels are LITERALLY turbo boost all the way through, the werewolf parts are SUPER annoying, but all in all I'm enjoying it-ish. The environments are fricken nice. It definitely feels like a Sonic Generations beta build, though.

However, I would recommend the soundtrack; there's some very nice stuff in there.

No. Crap. Aside for the fact that it was LeeBro's break into the big time world of Sega, it's one of the reasons I still play '06, and one of the reasons I still scratch my head and wonder why there's only one remix on here from the soundtrack. Heck, as soon as I get my mic and keyboard, I might do a Sonic 06 mix...after I do an 80's rock version of Live and Learn. Cover Your Light inspired me. DusK
I'm liking this game. This is the first time that I've gotten to play this "modern" post-Dreamcast Sonic gameplay, and I'm really liking it. I'm hoping they pump out more games like it.

Steam doesn't have to put certain things onto their price, such as quite a few taxes. Well, at least, they don't have to here in Australia, so yeah, I'm not surprised that it's cheaper online.
