Mirby
Now, obviously I won't be going to MAG, so I won't be meeting y'all there. But I'd like to hang out with some of you in person for once. Bringing it up in IRC prompted Bahamut to tell me to post about it. So here I am. Now that the reasoning's out of the way, I know there's a few OCR folks in Northern California. Enough to organize a meet-up (preferably here in SF). And one that obviously wouldn't happen until after MAG. So here it is. Anyone interested? Gario
Well shit, man, I've been going up there almost every other week for the past three months. Now that I'm done with that job you want to start a meet-up? LAME. I could still be interested, though, pending on time restraints that I may or may not have in the future. Mirby
I've wanted to do a meet-up for MONTHS. I just never made a thread for it. D:
Darklink42
Well I'm always up for another norcal meetup, but I'm moving next month up closer to Oregon for college, putting me about 6 more hours away from SF. We'll see how that plays out, but definitely keeping my eye on this thread.
Mirby
Whereabouts in Oregon, if you don't mind me asking?
Ataradan
It's always funny to me (as a resident of actual North California) that people in the Bay Area think they're really North California. Where I live (Humboldt county) it takes about 6 hours to drive to the Bay, and another 6 or so down to southern California/Los Angeles area. Mirby
Regardless of where the line may be drawn to denote what is truly Northern California and what is not, I'd still like for a meet-up to happen.
Darklink42
Surprisingly enough, where Ataradan is, to attend Humboldt State University. Never been up there before, but from all I've heard and seen from friends that have, it's beautiful and well worth the hoops to jump through for admission. Inimitable
All the cool members live on the East Coast. Needless to say I'm Sacramento area.
kitty
All the cool members live on the East Coast. I find this quite offensive (not really), sir. I'm in socal. Norcal too far.
Mirby
I'm bumping this because it's after Christmas. And I can. And because I'm still interested in getting this all together.
Mirby
So, apparently the Zelda Symphony is playing here in SF on March 28. I figured that's something that we can maybe plan towards for the meetup.

Mirby
All the cool members live on the East Coast.Needless to say I'm Sacramento area. If this were true I wouldn't be organizing the meetup. There's plenty of awesome OCR folks here on the left coast. And yeah, there's time to plan and stuff because of when the show is. Zorlaxseven
I'm down. (You're all thinking, "Who is this guy?")
Mirby
kitty has informed me that the tickets are going relatively quick. So if you're coming to the meetup, then get these tickets quick! :
kitty
At the time of this post, there are no more $45 tickets left, just one $65 ticket left, and plenty of $85 and $125 tickets left. http://www.cityboxoffice.com/ordertickets.asp?p=5796
Zorlaxseven
And use "HOOKSHOT" as a discount code to save 15%.
Mirby
So since this quickly became an alert of the concert and since the meetup for it isn't possible (due to the concert being on Wednesday), I'm removing that from the title and thinking of what date to move the meetup to. I'm thinking a weekend, since a lot of people have interfering work schedules (and I didn't realize that 3/28 was in the middle of the week when I mentioned it). JadeAuto
weekends are good. and this time i should be able to make it.
kitty
I won't be able to make it then since I won't be driving up and staying or driving up/down/up/down for this.
Arcana
Hmmmm I don't think I can go to this one. Bay Area is a little far from Pacific Northwest. Now a Vancouver BC, Portland or Seattle meetup I could go to.
Mirby
Bumpin' because I'm still interested in gettin' this together. Now, I could just say HEY 4/20 IN THE PARK which would be more ideal than the original idea (as it's on a Friday) but maybe not entirely sooo... yeah. Any other ideas? JadeAuto
as long as it's on a weekend I'm still game. Work can bite my shiny metal ass.
