So remember that Pokémon x Nobunaga's Ambition game announced a while back?

Turns out it's being localized under the name Pokémon Conquest and will be coming here on June 18.

I'm not surprised by this, but still thought it worthy of sharing.

Hooray! I've always loved Final Fantasy Tactics so I'm curious to see if this will offer a similar experience! I'll prob pick this up. Kudos to NoA for throwing us a frickin' bone.

@Gollgagh: Good news, I saw a screenshot in English and they retain their Japanese names!

I'm actually kinda impressed.

I'm hoping that they're going to keep the traditional Sengoku warlords names instead of localizing them because I have a fairly strong interest in games set in that period.

I love Dynasty/Samurai Warriors, and I did actually play all the way through Pokemon Pearl. I think this game is gonna be badass. I think that they need to localize more games like this. I still cry at night sometimes when I think of the loss of Namco x Capcom....

At least he's in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, which we got and its super fun.

Anyways, its a bit surprising that they localized this, but it sounds cool. It was a really smart of them to just call it a Pokemon game, it'll certainly get more sales here because of that, which is great. I feel like the tactics genre is a welcome addition to the many Pokemon spinoffs, and one that makes a hell of a lot of sense I'd say.

If you're curious, here's a YouTube playlist of the soundtrack since it's already out in Japan.

The sound is very reminiscent of what you'd hear tied to feudal Japan, and it's quite nice. Of note are "Dungeon 1," "Staff Roll," and "Dragon Battle." It's pretty good.

you can still use recruit, albeit unofficially.

hell i like the sound of recruit over befriend, especially given the context of the gameplay.

Did anyone end up getting this? Reviews look good, but I always like hearing what others on here have to say when I'm on the fence about buying a game.
