Ben Steed
http://halloffame2012.classicfm.co.uk/individual/?position=16 I'm not sure how many people have been following this, but I thought I'd post it in here anyway. This is awesome news in my opinion. Not only has it further promoted Mr. Uematsu's work, but it may prove to be a very important step up of his music being recognised within the popular classical music scene in times to come. I know very well of Classic FM's often dogmatic and purist view of classical music, so this entry may very well change things up a bit! lazygecko
But it's not classical music?
Ben Steed
You could perhaps class his later work with Arnie Roth as being in the realms of classical music.
Liontamer
But it's not classical music? Incorrecto! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_music
WillRock
But it's not classical music? Er... why wouldn't it be classed as classical music? Also, listened to this theme this morning, not for any particular reason. As a guy who's never played the games, thats a rare rare occurrence for me. AJ-enova
Listened to ClassicFM ALL weekend waiting it hear it. Totally worth it
KyleJCrb
Haha, some of the comments are really short-sighted and closed-minded. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that, though.
EC2151
Um, really? Number sixteen? I'm a fan of Uematsu to be sure, but um, there's a lot of really great "classical" and contemporary music out there that trounces Aeris' theme, of all pieces. Hell Uematsu has written better music. Kenogu Labz
Yeah. Still can't agree with Aerith's theme as being up on that list very high, but I'd bet it's the only one you could get a solid number of votes for, thanks to the broad fanbase. Melbu Frahma
I'm all for VGM getting more recognition from "mainstream" music fans. Especially Uematsu. This makes me happy.
AMT
This is awesome, although I would have expected a different Uematsu piece. Maybe Terra's theme or Liberi Fatali. Still, nice to see him in there!
