ProjectSpam Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Don't know if any of you had heard, but depressing news. http://www.8bitfix.com/content/heavy-rain-composer-normand-corbeil-passes-away-56-6063/ I was only familiar with his music on Heavy Rain, but that soundtrack is one of my favorites from the current generation of gaming. It was just so moody and beautiful. It seems that his career with video game scoring just begun, seeming to have fully transitioned from film/tv work to gaming. His future works are missed, but he left us with a great contribution to game music in Heavy Rain. Quote
Tuberz McGee Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Today is a sad day. Honestly. Heavy Rain's soundtrack was a masterpiece. One of the best of the current generation. We shall honour him. Quote
RiverSound Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 He left us his music. Thank you, and rest in peace. Quote
Level 99 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Very sad news indeed. Fantastic composer. Quote
djpretzel Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 A great soundtrack that completely & thoroughly enabled the game's cinematic goals; I was looking forward to what he'd score next; he will be missed. Quote
BardicKnowledge Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Dave put it very eloquently above -- this was a man with a lot left to contribute to the arts; he will be missed indeed. Quote
KyleJCrb Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Very sad news. I haven't played Heavy Rain, but the music I'd heard from the game was breathtaking. Quote
Argle Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Very sad. Never played Heavy Rain but 56 is far too young to go. Quote
