Chimpazilla
They See Me Rolling - Soundcloud by chimpazilla, anterroir, timaeus edit 4-9-13: added glitching by timaeus, and posted for mod review. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi There! David and I thought it would be fun to take a trip to Goron City and hang out with the big guys for awhile. Turns out they are quite groovy. We are still tweaking this but we consider it 98% finished. We will still be working with the vocals to make sure David can be heard over the backing, while maintaining all those fun effects. At this point in our production, we thought it would be a great idea to get feedback from our fine OCR friends. Listen and comment! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lyrics: All my brothers, they see me rolling All my brothers, they see me rolling The guy in green, he sees me rolling The guy in green, he sees me rolling And I'm watching him, watching them, watching me Rolling round, and round... And they're watching him taking out his bombs, To blow me off the ground! It may be a small place, so many of us in it, Yeah we're pretty big guys, with tutus and shit you name it Still we're easy going, smooth, everyone it's alright... Let's roll around the town tonight. Hi there! You see me floating... well... yeah... Come on man, do it again, bomb me, BOMB ME yeeeaaahhhh... All my brothers, they see me floating The guy in green, he sent me floating And I'm watching him, watching them, watching me Floating round, and round... And they're watching him taking out his hook, To pull me to the ground! It may be a small place, so many of us in it, Yeah we're pretty big guys, with tutus and shit you name it Still we're easy going, smooth, everyone it's alright... Let's roll around the town tonight. timaeus222
I think the ambience is a bit held back, because you can fit in a little high end reverb. You still need to flesh out the vocals a bit more, and I'd love to do that, plus some glitch fills. I gots some ideas, if you can send the vocals, snare hits, misc drums, and the rest of the instrumentation separately. Chimpazilla
Awesome offer T... thanks! Let's see what anterroir thinks about that and we'll let ya know!
Nostalvania
That's a funny remix, I dig it! Cool idea with the Vocals/Lyrics. I found the bass in the intro at 00:11-00:15 + 00:27-00:30 a bit indistinct. The key change at 2:11 is nice. Argle
honestly, I think it's great. Starts off tribal and then moves into disco. The Teutonic vocals are the icing on the cake. Yeah, it rocks.

WiFiSunset
This song makes me smile whenever I hear it. It's song is amazingly groovy . I listened to it once yesterday, and it's still stuck in my head. Those vocals are amazing as well. Looking forward to seeing its completion. Damashii!!
mad mad MAAAAAD respect. So hilarious and amusing, yet so good (and catchy AF). I can see why some might be indifferent to it, but I'm thoroughly enjoying this so far. Admittedly, I was kind of expecting a Weird Al parody, but this is much better. Chimpazilla
"They See Me Rolling" Timaeus has joined the Goron team with some subtle yet excellent reverb and glitching effects. Mod review would be appreciated. This will be the submission version unless something truly terrible is wrong. Thanks, and we hope you continue to enjoy this silly little track! It was lots of fun to make.
timaeus222
Sounds good. The only thing I would suggest is to add back a little more of that reverb on the brass section, just so it doesn't sound so dry, and the glitching I had at 2:46 and 2:53 (which I actually felt were minimal and interesting). I also felt that my 808 snare rise at 3:27 was a little buried.
Rozovian
Dat bass... ...is a bit too loud. The low end could be a bit more controlled, which might yield a little more headroom for a little more loudness. As if this track needed to be louder. Not sure I like the choice of bass drum, but that's me. Not sure about the more or less sourceless verse parts. It's undoubtedly a remix of Goron City, but Larry's stopwatch might have an issue with it. Flows well (bass drum oddities aside), overall mix is fine, lyrics are fun... So yeah, possibly too bassy, possibly too much sourceless stuff, but beyond that, I don't see why this wouldn't pass. Also, it's barrels of fun. /mr
Chimpazilla
Thanks Rozo! Glad you enjoyed it. A few final tweaks, a three-way meeting of the minds, and it's off to the judging queue!
