OCR03142 - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time "A Stormy Affair"

Recommended Posts

Classic Chimpazilla with the groovy disco feel! I think the melodic syncopation was an effective way to adapt to 4/4. I think maybe the gated vox could have left at 1:39, but it's no big deal. Dat zircon lead though! The highlight of this track was 2:12 - 2:44.

Certainly is groovy and adds a hell of a lot of fun to the Windmill Hut. I liked the additions of Zelda's theme and the secret found cameo, and the story and mental visuals behind this song is pretty cool too, especially with how the vinyl records plays into it. Cool stuff, fellas.

Ah, nice job on the time signature switchup! That's not always an easy thing to do, but you handled it well. The Song of Storms is such a fun melody to work with, which would, I suppose, explain the number of remixes of the song. I agree with djp’s comment that a longer version might have been nice - if only because you were doing so well with it! Still, I guess a great shorter track is better than a dragged-on longer track.

Yep, the idea to chage the time signature was pretty cool. "Windmill Hut" is a very popular song, but such disco-ish style seems to be new for it, yet fits like a glove here. The piano intro & outro work just wonderfully. Love the synth soloing @ 1:36. Great collab!

The intro made me think I would get a more jazz-oriented remix. The sounds/samples/synths were a little vanilla for me, but the arrangement was very nice -- the 2:15-part was the best IMO. Cool remix! :)
