BardicKnowledge
Everyone, Karen Cook -- one of my ludomusicology colleagues -- is putting together a database of games that include chant, or music close enough to be thought of as chant (e.g. Halo's iconic opening moments). I thought the community might be able to help her out, so I'm going to throw the list down here and see what we all come up with. After the thread starts to die down, I'll send along all of everyone's additions to Karen, who will put it to good use. I'll start off by including the first additions: Final Fantasy X and Castlevania: Circle of the Moon should have been on here. Games Including Chant or “Chant-Like” Music: A Partial Inventory: (Suggestions and Additions heartily welcomed!) 1. Halo (series) 2. Sid Meier’s Civilization IV 3. Sid Meier’s Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword 4. Sid Meier’s Civilization V 5. Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies 6. Assassin’s Creed 7. Skyrim 8. Sacred 2: Fallen Angel 9. The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night 10. The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning 11. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King 12. The Hobbit 13. Pandora’s Tower 14. Dante’s Inferno 15. The Da Vinci Code 16. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince 17. Medieval II: Total War 18. Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition 19. Reign of Kings 20. Bloodborne 21. Phantasmagoria 22. Final Fantasy VII 23. Final Fantasy IX 24. Final Fantasy XIII 25. Super Smash Bros. Brawl 26. Resident Evil 27. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood 28. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night 29. Heroes of Might and Magic III 30. Heroes of Might and Magic V 31. Warcraft II 32. 7th Guest 33. The Talos Principle 34. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 35. The Coop
Dark Souls 2- When you go into the Dragon's Sanctum, as you work your way through, you'll hear a disembodied woman's voice doing a chant at times. You'll hear another woman chanting a different tune when you make your way through the Shrine of Amana (it's from the women in huts that are comforting the dead). Nier- Quite a few tracks feature various choral and chant-filled songs.
Gario
I've got a few, might have a few more when I think about em' a bit. Warcraft III: Frozen Throne (Extra Human track from that expansion) Mario Paint (One of the opening sequences has a tribal chant in it) Dragonseed (Some of the tracks have choral backings to them, like this one) Any particular style you looking for (Western, Gregorian, etc.), or does more ethnic styles count as well (Eastern chant, indian chant, etc.)? Also, does it need to be performed in a 'choir', or do solo works count? It's not quite clear from the OP - there are quite a few other options not represented here that I could include if some of those restrictions are clarified. Gario
This TVTropes list might also help, as long as your friend can resist the normal time wasting TVTropes trap involved in opening the site...

DrumUltimA
Beyond Good and Evil might have some chant-like moments. But not in the gregorian sense?
prophetik music
FFX isn't on your list, and the hymn of the fayth is often performed in a chant or chanter setting. also, assassin's creed II has some chant in the final fight and in the chapels, as does assassin's creed II: revelations. don't remember if brotherhood did. Arrow
Speaking of Metroid, would Lower Norfair from Super Metroid count? If so, then you can include that and its covered/remixed versions in Metroid Prime ("Lava Caves (Burning Trail)" and "Lava Caves").
BardicKnowledge
I'll let Karen wander in here, look at all of the suggestions, and decide what counts. I was unsure about Lower Norfair myself...
Soul Splint
Dark Cloud might offer at least one possibility: If it counts, chanting starts around 0:33.
