lazygecko Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 I think the interview sums everything up well enough. It'll be out very soon. Quote
JohnDriLLL Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 do u guys remember a game called fighting force? i thought of that when i saw the screens. Quote
Miletus Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Demo is totally rad. Will breakfalling be in the final game? (holding up+jump when being thrown and you land on your feet) Quote
Gollgagh Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 do u guys remember a game called fighting force? i thought of that when i saw the screens. I do. Streets of Rage owns FF, though. Why do you insist on typing like that? Quote
Less Ashamed Of Self Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 This is very good news. I really love it when stuff like this happens. Now for a Cave Story sequel. Quote
Geko Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 I've been following this remake since last march. I can't wait for the final release! Quote
The Coop Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 I remember when you PMed me about this long ago Gecko. Nice to see it reached completion Imagine the chaos that would ensue, if Sega slapped a C&D on this just days before its release. Remember the villagers in "Frankenstein" with the pitch forks and such? That would likely be considered a warm welcome compared to what Sega would have in its hands after how many times the US has gotten the SoR shaft over the last six years. Quote
Evilhead Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Awesome, I can't wait to get this one! And congrats on the gig Gecko. Quote
Zutnunzor Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 You make the best remixes man. I'll play this just for the god damn music. Can't wait. Quote

The Coop Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 There's something I'm curious about, which wasn't covered in that article, or answered on the site. Which version of the various sprites did you use? We all know what Sega did the US version of SoR 3, and how a lot got edited (women's attire, basic outfits for some characters, Ash's removal, etc.). Did you use the Japanese sprites for reworking, or the US ones? Quote
lazygecko Posted December 22, 2006 Author Posted December 22, 2006 I think both of them are in there for the sake of variety. There are also reworked incarnations like the SOR1 Electra, Galsia, jugglers and karate guys. Along with a broader set of alternate palettes. Quote
