k-grenade
Speaking of breaking dancepads, I gotta get a keyboard before I break my laptop keys. The files on anime dreamer are from http://www.otakusdream.com/ I believe. You can check there for other mirror sites if the anime dreamer server is down. Otaku's Dream Anime mixes are all pretty well made in my opinion.
Gafgarion
Atmuh, you have to play so damn hard if you have BROKEN 7 or 8 of them. Do you play with socks or shoes? Or maybe 100 lb lead boots?
Halt
I quit DDR, when ever we played. we always got the Shitty half working pads, and our friend Sean took the good one Oh, Atmuh, you must destroy DDR, if you broke that many O_O
atmuh
i kinda stomp so soft pads will never cut it thats why i only play in arcades
Gafgarion
You need to get a tournament arcade pad. You can find them for around 170 dollars. Those have the arcade feel and last a long time. I play pretty hard too.
atmuh
or i can just go to the arcade
Brushfire
The Supernova 2 machine at my arcade has been broken forever. Kinda makes me sad. They had just switched it over to buy one get doubles free.
Gafgarion
How far are you from your nearest cabinet?
Brushfire
55 minutes to the nearest arcade to play is a bit much for me.

Bigfoot
Yay, I have over 100 AAA's now.
Gafgarion
Nice man! The nearest ITG 2 cab is about 45 minutes away from where I live. I do, however, have a PC arcade metal pad for home version though. I play a lot at home and a lot at the arcade. It is convenient because it is about 3 minutes away from where I go to college, so I go there every day after school.
Broken
Yay, I have over 100 AAA's now. Well I beat Paranoia Survivor today in my room. Yeah, the non-max version. And I didn't get a triple A, but still, I beat it. Also, playing stepmania on my roomates 720p tv/monitor is quite enjoyable. It has built in speakers with dolby surround sound, so I just plug my laptop into it and then plug my pad into my laptop and start playing. I actually prefer this to the arcade which is about a 5 minute walk from my dorm.
meccil
The only arcade around me closed up shop pretty recently. I used to go play DDR at least once a week. It was 75 cents at that arcade....They had Max, which I loved, on 2 machines. One machine worked great, and the other didn't register steps very well. Well, they upgraded to Supernova, and got rid of the good machine anyway, so...it wasn't too good. Only other place to go is a truck stop nearby, and that's usually populated by people who beat Max 300 with invisible arrows and perfect scores... Gafgarion
I have noticed that Stepmania on pad is so much different than the Arcade. The timing is different. Still, I practice at home to keep at it. It doesn't mess up my arcade scores at all though; in fact, it improves them.
Broken
I have noticed that Stepmania on pad is so much different than the Arcade. The timing is different. Still, I practice at home to keep at it. It doesn't mess up my arcade scores at all though; in fact, it improves them. That's probably true for various reasons. The best you can do to emulate the arcade more closely is to get an arcade pad and slim down your timing window in the arcade settings tab under "options." And, I think you said that you already have an arcade style pad, so yeah, not too much left to do. In theory, if the simfiles are synchronized correctly and your timing window is close to your arcade's it should feel the same.
Gafgarion
Well, the timing is harder than the arcade because it is still stepmania timing, not in the groove. It may be my converter that I have, but I doubt it
Sengin
You can change the timings in StepMania, you know. It's in the stepmania.ini file. Here's the settings for In The Groove (just paste over the corresponding lines): JudgeWindowSecondsAttack=0.130000 JudgeWindowSecondsBoo=0.180000 JudgeWindowSecondsGood=0.135000 JudgeWindowSecondsGreat=0.102000 JudgeWindowSecondsMarvelous=0.021500 JudgeWindowSecondsMine=0.070000 JudgeWindowSecondsOK=0.320000 JudgeWindowSecondsPerfect=0.043000 JudgeWindowSecondsRoll=0.350000
Brushfire
Speaking of Stepmania, does anyone have a link to DL all the old SM packs that have been made over the years. stepmania.com only has a couple and would really like to rebuild after I mistakenly formatted mine away. Bigfoot
Indeed I was. The parts where my body gets in the way of the camera are times where I did. I even did the cool turn at the very end.
Gafgarion
I don't see how you can crossover on charts like those. I think it is so much easier to shuffle them.
Bigfoot
To me it's more work on faster songs like Seduction.
