Maco70
Only rumors I fear, but good rumors at that. http://www.filmjunk.com/2007/04/18/dead-like-me-movie-in-the-works/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Like_Me#Direct-to-DVD_film Sources tell me Mandy Patinkin isn't in the film which sucks, but I am still interested. PS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsD6tqNZtAI My favorite scene from the show.

anthonium
I just read about this show in Wikipedia. I had never heard of it and by what I've read it sounds really interesting. Gotta find a way to see this.
KiroiKiri
A movie would be awesome. Sucks if they don't have Inigo Mont...errr...Mandy Patinkin in it though...

Gotta find a way to see this. It was on TV links at one point. It's worth investing in. Season 1 is about $20. Also, it's on netflix. Palpable
I loved this show when it was on, and was very annoyed by its cancellation - I think it was one of the few shows that was truly at its peak when it ended. During the first season, they were still finding their voice, but the entire second season was just excellent TV. Very sad. While I like the idea of a movie, I can't really imagine it without Mandy Patinkin. You can get rid of any characters besides him or George and it would still work. Black Mage
I just read about this show in Wikipedia. I had never heard of it and by what I've read it sounds really interesting. Gotta find a way to see this. It's on SciFi Channel pretty much daily. From the Wiki, it sounds like it would be a good movie, especially with George reconnecting with Reggie. suzumebachi
It's on SciFi Channel pretty much daily. It runs on HDNet a few times a week as well. Definitely one of the best shows of the decade. I was sad to see it cancelled.
Maco70
Ha, so here I was about to start a new thread about this. The movie is out, and general consensus is that the series was better left untouched. I haven't seen the film yet. Has anyone here seen it/care? http://www.amazon.com/Dead-Like-Me-After-Death/dp/B001JV5BHQ/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1235959668&sr=8-
The Damned
Yeah, it was like a slightly different, extended episode of the show. Nothing really special, save for a few plot devices. It's something that I think only fans of the series will really like.
EdgeCrusher
I saw this at blockbuster the other night. I really hate that they got rid of the boss and replaced with someone else. He made the show for me really. So I don't know if I want to see this or not.

I'm a pretty big fan of this show, but I'm hesitant to pay money for something that is by a different writer, director, and producer. My buddy is also a hardcore fan, and he said it was sub par at best.
