  1. I know there hasn't been a lot of activity on this thread lately, but everything's pretty much done--we're just getting the website built and a few things ironed out. Should be seeing a release this summer!

  2. Well, I recorded the guitar, and I might add a bit more to it, even without extension (which sounds like a good & popular idea!) I'll sub a bonus mix at least soon (should really work on my project tracks tho!) The daughter helped out mapping the piece out:

  3. I would kill for a portable MP3 player with built-in compression and leveling options. It would make listening to classical music in noisy environments such as buses and airplanes so much more pleasant.

  4. I like big sounds and I cannot lie. An EDM track that doesn't have a brickwall on it just doesn't fit into the rest of EDM, and that's not going to change anytime soon. Like Avaris said above, it's subjective and should be handled on a per-case basis. Meanwhile, I'm gonna be over here with my limiters and my compressors making phat and tasty sounds.

  5. Mr. Bottle Rocket

    Diablo III

Well... then stay out of public games for the most part, I'm not kidding about the hacked items being everywhere on console.

    Diablo III

Diablo III is really accessible. If you've played Torchlight you're fine. Although, playing the XBox One version? I know people like the console versions (djpretzel loves the PS4 version), but I've gotta say if you're gonna play D3, join us and play on PC. That's where most of OCR's players are playing, and that's where the game is most up-to-date. Here's the "Starter Edition" where you can try the game out on PC.

  7. It's absolutely ok. Just need to check my health. I'm not injured/ill/sick/whatever I'll definitely clear some stuff here, when I return back, it's just a little pause now.

  8. Yeah, the idea is surely great, but there're already 2 Sonic projects, as Garrett said. I'll still be very glad if this album happen one day Both soundtracks are killer in their own way.

  9. I feel like you are jumping to one distinct conclusion. There are different appropriate RMS levels for every genre of music. Frankly different RMS levels work better for different listening devices as well. There is no 1 level to rule them all. it is all a balancing act. Also there is a scientific reason why people prefer sounds with higher RMS levels. When the loudness is over a certain threshold we release serotonin. One of the scientific reasons people love live music. Compressors and Limiters are not always used to make a sound louder. They can also be used to make a sound quieter. Hence making other sounds appear louder and more dynamic. They can also be user artistically to bring out different timbres in the sound. Also another note, most of our best compressors came out 50+ years ago. So the argument of better compressors = greater loudness is null and void. To be honest people should learn how to use compressors and limiters in a more appropriate manner.

  10. I'm starting to think we need to change the group name to "Sick/Injured Club ahoy."

  11. Nice, evktalo! Very atmospheric. The second page of the score was the best bit, hands down.
