  1. As many of you may know, Monday (before 1PM Pacific) Is the last chance to add credit to the original Wii Shop. As someone who produces a video game music radio show, I'm attempting to maximize value by picking up games with sound tests (I prefer commercially released soundtracks, but that isn't always viable). Therefore, highest priority goes to games that: -Do not have a readily available commercial soundtrack for (at least that version of) the game. In other words, games where a soundtrack has either never been released, or the soundtrack is out of print and horribly expensive. -Have not been re-released on other platforms (or have, but those versions have significant sound issues -A physical version of the game would be significantly harder/more expensive to come by I figure this might be a good thing to crowdsource. Here are a few I came up with: Pulseman Earthworm Jim (Genesis version-PC version on GOG has CD music)

  3. Oh man, this is fantastic! I love it so much. Great bass and drum writing, and there's some cool harmony going on. I don't know the source, but I definitely love the remix.

  5. You sure picked something obscure to remix here! I have no familiarity with the source but still I can still really dig the Sultans of Swing vibe. I really like it!

  6. Can't say I was ever a fan of the GB Zelda titles, but this arrangement is quite nice, I like how it goes from being kind of hoppy, and then you make it a bit more romantic, with some pretty rich chords. Sounds good!

  7. This is my first game audio project (also a student project) and the client is pitching to a well known publisher at GDC this month. Now i think i've got it in a good place overall, but the anxiety bells are ringing a fair bit so i could do with some solid feedback on things. The game is being pitched in a prototype state so i wanted to get a 3-4min loop that demonstrates the overall vibe of things. The genre is a tropical themed, competitive multiplayer, collect-a-thon, brawler type thing. Music inspiration came from games like DKC: Returns, Move or Die, Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Spyro, Crash, Candy Crush (for musical type SFX), Sonic CD (US) and various Rayman games, as well as trying to add a bit of an electronic aesthetic to match the clients more recent releases. I'm at the point of polishing but not sure if i'm looking for issues that aren't even there, so if there's anything glaringly obvious then i'd love you to tell me <3 FYI The abrupt ending is because it loops, and the semi-abrupt start is because it cuts from the menu music (on the beat) as soon as the gameplay begins.

  8. Can we talk about how how happy I am right now?! I thought it would get rejected to be honest (almost did actually)...but here it is on OCR, and I'm screaming in happiness! Definitely gonna try to make a new remix. And hopefully I do a lot better. Thank you everyone! And djpretzel' s comments had me rolling lol.
