  1. Hey all! I recently completed this simple romantic-era styled arrangement of Kakariko Village from The Legend of Zelda series and I thought I would share it here. For this rendition, I wanted to focus on bringing out the piece's warm and comforting quality. I found that changing the key signature from Bb Major to F Major helped darken the sound and create a richer texture. F Major is one of my favorites and is just such a great key for these kinds of pieces. I generally shy away from changing keys too much, but this change made such a huge impact on the arrangement's tone. I also worked in some richer harmonies and a tiny bit of ornamentation for fun. It's a simple little arrangement, but I'm overall pretty happy with how it turned out. It's a common piece to cover/arrange but I hope some of you enjoy this slightly different take on the tune. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQD5IgRbRW8
  2. Thank you both! I really appreciate the feedback! I will absolutely consider submitting to OCR. Thanks again!
  3. Hey all, I recently completed this rather different take on the popular K.K Cruisin' track from the Animal Crossing series. I decided to model my rendition after the lesser known instrumental "aircheck" version, which has more of a instrumental hip-hope vibe to it. I thought it would be interesting to combine elements of both versions and I think it turned out pretty interesting. The aircheck version has a moodier opening that I thought would be a nice change of pace to include, rather than the more well-known opening of the original. I also incorporated elements that are not present in the "aircheck" version, which mainly includes the amazing chorus section. The main goal was to really put my own spin on the piece, so I recorded some improvised solos and added in a synth lead solo at the end that I hope you all enjoy. This was personally a big project for me, so I hope some of you will get a kick out of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfXpwP1_28s
  4. Hey there! I recently completed this arrangement of the 7AM theme from the original Animal Crossing that I thought I would share. It was interesting process to adapt this to live instruments and add some more jazzy elements to the tune, as well as expand on the drums to make things a bit more interesting. Hope you guys enjoy it!
  5. Hey there! I'm a big fan of the Animal Crossing series and the music is a huge part of why I love it so much. I recently collaborated on an arrangement of the 8PM music from Wild World, which is one of my favorite pieces in the series. It's such a simple and sweet tune, and we decided to give it a little bit more of a live feel. I'm using an Arturia Beatstep Pro to drive the drums and the Soniccouture Canterbury Suitcase EP VST for the keys. A full gear/software list is in the video description.Last but certainly not least, the wonderful Ifnot provided the guitar performance, including that wonderful solo at the end It was a blast to make. I hope you like this little rendition.
  6. Wow! This is your first crack at something like this?! I'm blown away! It sounds so faithful to the original, but has its own flavor to it as well! I love the ambiance you add to this as well! I'll be following your Soundcloud! You should upload to Youtube! I'd share the hell out of that. Please keep up the amazing work!
  7. Apologies for the late reply. Thank you both so much for your kind comments and feedback. It means a great deal to me! I'm honored that you both enjoyed it!
  8. Hey guys! I just recently finished up this little solo piano arrangement of Song of Healing from Majora's Mask and thought I would share it with you all. I realize this is an insanely popular piece for people to remix/cover, but it's such a special piece, but I think the tune is so malleable and it was fun to try and do something different with it. I originally had made something far more virtuosic and flashy but it didn't fit the intimate feel of the original. I instead opted for something more subdued and "pretty". I added a little intro and outro based on some of the original harmonic material and I think it works as a nice framing device for the piece. At first I keep the tune fairly traditional, but ended up gradually adding some of my own personal flourishes throughout. Hope you guys enjoy it. Let me know what you think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3NexJ5G1dg
  9. Sup, Psycosulu! This so perfect. You have that 80s sound down to perfection and the tune just works so well.
  10. Gorgeous. I really like your take on this. It's so elegant! Great job incorporating other thematic elements into this too! I just subbed to your channel! Can't wait to hear what you do next.
  11. Hey everyone! I just completed this arrangement of 7PM from Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I feel like it's a pretty faithful arrangement overall. The main difference is that most parts were recorded with real instruments or better samples and I added a piano coda to give the piece a solid ending. Hope you guys enjoy it.
  12. Hey everyone! I just completed this solo piano arrangement of "Flowers Blooming in the Church" from Final Fantasy VII and I thought you guys might enjoy it. I had seen a handful of piano arrangements of this piece, but overall this version of Aerith's theme doesn't get the attention it deserves. For my arrangement, I really wanted to push that tragic and expressive side of this piece, while staying true to the original tune. I've also included a link to the sheet music download in the Youtube video description. Hope you guys enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!
  13. Thanks everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed my little rendition. The actual keyboard I'm playing is a Roland RD-100, but I'm using the Garritan CFX concert grand VST for the actual sound. I was previously using Cinesamples "Piano in Blue" on many of my previous performances, but the CFX has been a game-changer for me. Thanks again!
  14. Hey everyone. I recently completed work on a short medley from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening centering around Mabe Village, Inside the Houses and Richard's VIlla. This game has always been near and dear to my heart, so I wanted to put my own take on some of my favorite tunes from the game. I'm using this video as the starting point for a 3 part series of medley arrangements featuring music from Link's Awakening. Hope you guys enjoy this and have a wonderful weekend.
