  1. You HAVE a December 1st deadline? That was two days ago. So why is it in green with a note asking for the .WAV? Clarification plz
  2. I'd recommend just keeping it to this topic personally. You don't need to generate new discussions in new topics. It'd be better to build a good strong one here in this one.
  3. I didn't see this until just now. What did you need?
  4. No it was still the master, I just loaded one Zebra patch to test it. I thought that was the point of Guitar Rig 5.0 being host to these new Komplete 8 effects. I don't really care about the compressors, I just want to be able to try that transient designer in the mix. I think thats something my mixes are desperately needing.
  5. I was actually just trying it with one zebra patch at a time, but yes.
  6. Oh, the LR thing wasn't both on, thats what I was doing wrong. Ok, problem solved. Thanks 'blix.
  7. I always assumed it went in empty. How do you completely clear it out of effects?
  8. At some point, like all of us, I want to upgrade to Komplete 8 (or 9 or 10 or whatever it is by the time I can get to it), but the addition of new processor effects, like the compressors and transient designer, using Guitar Rig 5.0 to do bothers me. I have Guitar Rig 4.0 right now and if I put that on a master, it totally colors the mix. Also, my computer has NEVER worked well with Guitar Rig - flat out refusing to do things like pan, cut out other effects on the same fx channel. How does Guitar Rig 5.0 work as a processor for mixing/mastering stuff like that? Does it color the effects channel like 4.0 does?
  9. I'll give YOU a list! ...wait, let's try that again. I'll list YOU! There we go, thats the one I want. Send him in.
  10. You want a waltz and you didn't ask me? I'm shocked Rozovian. You're sleeping on the couch tonight!
  11. I would think the SNES controller might give it away. If you people pick the other design over the university one, I will leave OCR forever and build my own remix site. I'll call it www.meteocremix.org and steal your thunder by posting remixes of public domain songs, nursery rhymes and ancient plainsongs. And I'll build it in fucking Geocities 1995!
  12. Well, I don't wear an OCR shirt because I care what other people think - I'm votin' university.
  13. Really? I didn't know that. Not to derail, but can you show me some topics like those?
  14. You do realize you're selling ice to eskimos here, don't you? A huge percentage of us here at OCR are composers looking for work as well. You need to post this on something like Gamedev.net which is centered on Game Development, not here. If you're looking to put your skills to use here, why not join some of the projects that are badly needing additional talent? That's a much better way to show people why they should hire you to work on a game. It's also a good resume point as OCR produces some of the best and most popular remix albums on the internet.
  15. Not every reason has to come off like an administrative warning. Exercise tact. You could've written something along the lines of, " That would've been a much better way of presenting it without killing the mood and potential album sales.
  16. Again, experience dictates otherwise. We had several people on SD3 who had claims on several tracks and by the time we cleaned them out, a lot of them contributed nothing but a vacuum to suck up our time. Every time a major project is announced, the well-known remixers pick all the good ones while the wannabes pick like 3-5 tracks and it becomes a huge fucking mess and elitist power struggle - not a fair chance for newbies to get recognized and not a fair distribution of content. A logical and fair solution is to have the project director collect names of those interested, with the number of tracks they want to do, and assign them him or herself. I myself would also limit each remixer to one, MAYBE two, track slots, because as I've learned, most people don't get their fucking third or fourth tracks in until you bug the shit out of them to do it. That's bad enough trying to coax them for one in the first place. Sorry if I sound pissed, I just found out some dick got access to my bank card and started buying cheap car parts, but you understand the basic message. A successful project is one that's organized and managed well and that requires heavy focus on practical applications and logic.
  17. Way to ruin the mood, Darkesword. I'll post this around my networks, Shaggy, and see if I can't help generate some interest and sales. I'll also purchase a copy a little later myself.
  18. That's also kinda the opposite of the rest of what I'm going for. That's a needlessly complicated design for a project that won't improve the quality or focus of the content - it's just a concept to have just to have a concept. It would also throw off the balance of the album, as people will download the side with all the remixer names they know and love much more than the ones with new people on it.
  19. You can't afford $1-10? Let's not be overzealous, these artists are being incredibly and incredulously generous right now as it is.
