So my iLok is useless there? -
Anyone want to buy my EastWest software?
Meteo Xavier replied to Kanthos's topic in Music Composition & Production
Someday I want to study why people respond enthusiastically to deals by posting that they have no money. On-topic: Any chance you might sell Silk individually? I have the others but Silk is one I want at some point without paying $400 or whatever it is for it. I don't know if I can get it now, I'm tied up in home-buying hell, but I'd definitely be interested to see if there was any availability there. -

Suggesting ideas is not an obligation for them to be used. -
He might be paying royalties to Uematsu.

And that one will cost twice this one.

http://www.soundsonline.com/QL-Solo-Violin Well this was pretty cool I thought. Not sure if the price is to hot ($100 for one instrument?), but its about time they came out with a solo violin thing, especially since there aren't a lot of decent solo violin stuff out.

I just want to remind the Sonic Fandom here that they brought Sonic's vicious cycle of quality upon themselves for reasons I don't need to illustrate because they already know. I myself have been wanting to play Sonic 4 ever since I saw it. It can't possibly be as bad as people make it out to be. (Especially since I've recently replayed the older Sonic games and found myself wondering why people are as crazy for THAT gameplay in the first place)

Seiken Densetsu 3: Songs of Light and Darkness - History
Meteo Xavier replied to Usa's topic in Projects
I need someone who can translate Japanese for the project. In fact, we might need an official translator for the project for other Japanese-English needs. Hit me up if you can translate Japanese - I'll tell you why we need one in private. -
I bet it was YOU that sold us out you communist swine! > When you get back to the Kremlin, tell Lenin's face to kiss my ass. He knows where to find it.

Need Pixel/Sprite Artist for Game

You know this soundtrack is in .mid to keep the file size for the Android game low, right? There's not really any mastering that can be done in .mid. -

That doesn't really sound like him to me. I mean, I have no idea what you two were talking about or what happened there, but I couldn't tell which sprites were yours and which ones weren't either IIRC. I've also been told you were being critical about the game itself (and my soundtrack) when this game production has already been pretty stressful for a longer period of time than necessary. There's nothing wrong with criticism itself, but from the perspective of an employer, any employer, to go into a job interview with a portfolio that largely includes other people's work and less your own and then start making comments on the project itself that irks already stressed manager is going to turn said manager off. You know, like I said, I only know so little about what you two talked about, I'm only just trying to get someone to do art so we can finish this game already, but I've also known Zen for a little while now and him lying or outright ignoring to be an ass just doesn't sound like him at all. -

It is my understanding that you didn't have a portfolio of anything you've done to show us and we didn't know if you were going to. I mean, I ain't trying to instigate anything, I'm just trying to help find some sprite art for this game. -

Hey, I think we still need a sprite artist if anyone is open and interested. See, obviously, the first post for information and details. -
I'm on that list? They're pirating MY music? ... YES! People care enough about my music to steal it! I'm in the big leagues now! Edit: But yeah, what Doug said, where did you see it at? I didn't find mine on there either.
-
I have to wonder how much they would care if the first bout didn't stop them from doing it again. I'm actually surprised it worked in the first place. More power to you Steve. Let me know how that goes because the precedent set there is relevant to what I do for a living.

It was the same website?
-
No, I think you're thinking of Hyrule. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_currency Anyways, yeah, these places can't possibly make enough real money for anyone to give a shit. Most internet savvy people wouldn't trust a site that looks like that much less give it money. You ever Google your own published work that's out? I had my ESPERS album show up on a Christian Civil War Music site once. My novel showed up on studentdoctorsupplies.com or something like that. Distribution gets crazy to the point where you don't know if these sites are phantoms are not. I found one some years ago and wrote David about it to no interest on his part, so I pretty much assumed everyone knew about these sites and knew the best thing to do was pretty much ignore it since, yeah, its Russia, they don't give a shit over there.

Rubles. They're called rubles in Russiatown. I'm also fairly surprised this is just now becoming an issue. Didn't anyone notice this stuff before today?
-
Really? Like which sites do that?

I was too cheap and Sephfire had to come to my rescue. It also added weeks of confusion to an already troubled production (before I contacted Sephfire). I could budget more money now but I still have no real idea what I really want as far as graphical interpretation, so commissioning an artist is still kinda outside my realm of possibility. I tend to do the best when I find already made stuff and say, "Yep, thats what I want." and I was hoping to add high quality anime illustrations into that somehow without going through the royalty shit. If I'm going to purchase art, I want to only purchase it once.
-
Howdy. As I have some album projects coming up here soon, I want to start investing in buying Royalty Free artwork to make use so I don't have the same problems I did with ESPERS and other commission jobs. One of them I want some high quality anime style artwork to use for album art, but a Google Search has not produced for me tangible results. Most of what I found on the more popular (I guess), royalty free sites were pretty basic, quasi-anime models at best. I'm more looking for things in the realm of: http://www.hybridlava.com/wp-content/uploads/Anime_003.jpg http://www.shareyourwallpaper.com/upload/wallpaper/anime/apple-seed/apple-seed_ffdd0f71.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2066/2348307514_52f18743e4.jpg http://www.shareyourwallpaper.com/upload/wallpaper/anime/tenjo-tenge/tenjo-tenge_5aaadf7d.jpg (All SFW) So that's all I'm really wanting to know - is there a website somewhere that has RF anime pictures like these somewhere? Surely I figure there has to be one, but I haven't found it yet.

It's fine dude, I just wanted to add more perspective to what I have available to mix with. I have some big boy toys to remix with now and I'm doing some new stuff here that I hadn't done in a remix before, but I'm still more limited to what I can really do than many other remixers here. I know this version is pretty rough right now, but I'd be really surprised if it were as rough as you describe.
