I usually write the bass as countermelody, or counterpoint if it's that kind of song. Every so often I have it delve into rhythm. But that's just my thing.

Naah. I don't like pointless shredding either. Whenever I hear a solo with little melody and it's just a big series of sweeps or runs, I call it a "tech demo solo". Yours had a bunch of that, but I still enjoyed it.

So just out of curiousity anyways, what part of my post was the trolling? Was it the part where I asked that lossless files be included? Was it the part where I asked that I didn't have to tag said lossless files myself? Was it the part where I said I wouldn't make a CD if lossless files were not included? Tell me. I honestly didn't expect my previous posts to be deleted, otherwise I would have saved a copy. As I expect this one to be deleted, I am going to save a copy for myself, and when it's deleted next time, I am damned well going to try to get your moderator priviliges revoked, as this is just harrassment. i KNOW there's a graphical DB plugin. but it's HUGE. and 64 of them on my screen at the same time so i can monitor levels is absolutely fucking ridiculous. That's true. What's worse, the small monitors on the mixer channels are... too small, unsurprisingly. You can't get accurate information from them. The master monitor on the top, I find to be misleading and too difficult to read because it goes red, (indicating clipping) when it's anywhere above -10db. So the only option is to have those big plugin meters everywhere, causing all that clutter.

What? I didn't quite hear that! The fifteenth, you say? Anyway, good! I wanted to know the next deadline so I could pace myself. Okay, so I'll probably just slave over Sibelius until they're done, for fear of swabbing the decks of the S.S. Kyle with a toothbrush. I'm glad to have Sixto aboard, in keeping with the metaphor.
