  1. That's pretty awesome! It seems like FL5 was released just yesterday.
  2. Arek, could you give me an estimate of how long you need my song to be? I can only stretch the source material so far, but I'll try to get it as lengthy as the book's section requires. ;p
  3. Yeah, me too. I was able to connect once much earlier, but not anymore. The whole site is moving really slow. Not that there's anything anyone can really do about it...
  4. Hey Arek! I haven't been in this thread much, but I'm just letting you know I haven't forgotten and will be meeting all deadlines. ^^
  5. That really sucks. Maybe their whole building burned down. Anyway, I guess Uncle Pretzel is taking us in after all. I'm sure we'll work something out.
  6. It's still down. I think the company packed up their servers, took the money, and ran. (Now deciding whether I'm joking or not...)
  7. I don't think of samples as an alternative, just a substitute for what's unavailable. I don't always have 60,000$ on hand to hire large ensembles. If the live instruments present themselves, I'll definitely use them. I would be SO insulted. XD I hope you whipped out your guitar and showed them the difference.
  8. It's still down! You should write them and demand that they add extra time to your hosting in the amount of the downtime! For great j-... okay, we all know the drill.
  9. That's pretty cool! It'll be interesting to have some inside-information about the songs for everyone to see.
  10. I agree. The guitars were the best samples I've ever heard, but it was still pretty obvious they weren't real. That first demo song was really cool though, so the listen was worth it. Oh, yeah! I noticed Alan Lastufka did that other library they have. He sure does get around, huh?
  11. Ahhh! I go to bed and come back in the morning and the thread is R-Rated!
  12. Gotta disagree with you, again. The latest guitar libraries are so expressive and filled with perfomance nuances processed in real time with stuff like self-generating harmonic feedback (and so forth), that you'd be extremely hard pressed to tell the difference between samples and the real thing. I haven't heard the latest guitar libraries, having never been without live guitar, but I'd be interested in hearing their progress if it's really as good as you say. (And I believe you!)
  13. I will play electric guitar for anyone. Any difficulty or genre is fine. Requests should tell me a bit about the guitar tone they want for the song as well.
  14. Our dear project was covered!? I'm getting this!
  15. Yup! I'm looking forward to doing the recording!
  16. I'd be happy to do it. Just send me the tab or sheet music. ;p
  17. I'd better get on my songs again soon. The last week has been an extremely unusual deviation from my usual flow of things. o.O
  18. Bout friggin time you picked something. Well, Soooooorrrry! XD Wait, I can just choose out of the list, right?
  19. Nope. Size: 6,219,776 bytes And just to stay relevant, this mix be double dope dope. EDIT: Bah, Gray ya smelly bum, stealing my damn thunder! I hope Jeremy Soule sends in another mix that's 6,291,457 bytes.
  20. Yeah, with Photoshop you can customize your brushes to make it look like you painted it with any medium imaginable. Actually, Corel Painter (IX) is even better for that, since there are a billion brushes and things already built in. I have Photoshop since my hobby is drawing and CG coloring, but my friend is a real artist and uses all those programs, so I can definitely vouch for Painter even without much personal experience. Arek, you've done a horrible thing by choosing a game featuring a character whose design is just so *complicated and difficult* to reproduce. Ease up on the artists, okay?
  21. Cool status list! This whole project feels super-organized. I really should show off a small preview bit of Raising a Curtain, but I don't like to "give too much away", so to speak. ^^
