Refresh my memory, how did the collision detection work on smash in previous versions? Could you push someone? I cant remember if you could run through someone or not... This update suggests that you would not be able to run through someone and that seems interesting.

Well, we do have birdo the travestite (possible pre-op transexual) pink lizard, so I don't mind Yoshi being gay.
-
When it comes to respect, I go on a case by case basis. I never dislike entire groups, I only dislike individuals. (which means I could say that the previous dude was being a real Eric because I remember a person who assumed he was not being offensive because his remarks were followed by a "disclaimer" that he liked "those guys" anyway.) As for yoshi's third jump, what if he launched an egg downwards pushing himself up? Or there could be two upBs, one when he is on the ground and the other when he is in midair.
-
I beg to differ. The context was: "I like yoshi, but he looks homo now." The but following an affirmation of appreciation for yoshi means that whatever follows is gonna go against the original statement. "I like candy but I don't like gobstoppers." So, whatever followed the but was supposed to go against the general sentiment of the sentence. Secondly, what does "homo" look like? Is there an actual definition of what all homosexuals are supposed to look like? Is there a memo (Hey, now that you are out of the closet, you have to put these clothes")? Looking "homo" usually refers to stereotypical depiction of homosexuals. In fact, I am sure that if I told you you looked homo, you would not like it. So, we have the use of a word in a negative context (the but) and with a meaning that is dependent on preconceived ideas of how homosexuals look like. Had the word been effeminate, queer (meaning odd) or even flaming (because flaming can refer to a style) I would not have taken offense. Finally, I have a question: How does Yoshi look a little more homosexual in brawl? I did not see him profess his love to another male, he is not engaging in intercourse with another male Yoshi, heck, he doesn't even have a speech bubble that says "Hi, I'm homosexual." Homosexuality is NOT A PHYSICAL TRAIT. You cannot have a homo look. But enough derailing this thread to try to educate some people to the notion of respect.

Nah, the final smash is gonna be Yoshi laying down a bunch of eggs that will then hatch and swallow up whatever they can, as piranhas would.
-
Dude, using homo with a pejorative meaning is kinda... offensive you know. Please stop doing so.

I think I never wanted to purchase so many games in a short period of time.
-
Okay... Errr... the next few months are gonna be expensive: August: MP3 September ??? October: Endless Ocean November: Super Mario Galaxy December: Super Smash Brother Am I missing something big? I'm sure I am. So do you have a suggestion for a september release?

Yeah, Yoshi totally is riding DK... it has nothing to do with DK's grab...

While widely disliked, the hardware in the N64 was incredible. Even the biggest game never fully exploited the multiple channels and processors. If CDs would not have existed, the N64 would probably have been the best example of how to do a console. The tech in there was years ahead of its class. But yeah, because it lacked nice FMVs, people didn't accept it.

Can't you see? ITS ABOUT THE COMPETITION! I mean, the level MOVES its not supposed to do so... So far we have seen two competition worthy stages, 4 if you have an open mind (Battleground and Animal Crossing are competitive and if you accept the random change of scenery, Delphino plaza and the Bridge if you tolerate a hazard, which you should because many people liked pokemon stadium for competitive gaming)
-
You picture her doing that in any outfit.

Dude, clouds. CLOUDS Seriously...

Dont let this get on the internet, people are gonna go crazy...

Realism can take a backseat, but not logic. I can tolerate a lot of surreal situations in movies. I can accept that superman flies, and what not. However I doubt that even superman would not be attacked by the army should he commit crimes. Most people don't like to cower in a corner waiting for death to come.
-
And not try to fight back? I'd rather try to kill a lion with a BB gun than sit and wait to be devoured.
-
Because I can believe more in giant robots than believe in the fact that no army is gonna get involved with said giant robots.
-
Quite frankly, I would concider buying one... I'll see how big of a bonus I get next week.

Do we still have the remix roulette feature? Seriously, a remix from a game you don't know, in a genre you don't look for may end up being one of your favourites.

Is it wrong that I want a 360 simply because of symphony of the night?

Why not blame burnout for car accidents? I mean, we all know of someone who died in a car crash, so why dod they make racing games still?

Good guy or bad guy, I'm sure these distinctions don't matter. In fact, the columbine shooters felt very justified in what they were doing. But that justification means nothing to the people who died at columbine, as the "good guy" idea means bull to the people of hiroshima when that bomb was dropped. Death is death. Be it from the rifle of a soldier on the beach of normandy, or from the hand of an angry guy at school. Heck, in fact, by the end of WW2, conscription was in full motion in the allied country as well as in the axis, which means that most people doing the fighting did not want to be there.
-
Yet people don't mind playing soldiers in stuff that repeats the WW2 events...

I think its funny how society views videogames in relation to these events. I mean, politicians can spin these tragedies to make a point but when regular people use a tragedy to entertain themselves, its horrible. It's okay for CNN to show footage of US army attacks (which kill a lot of people) but hey, there is gonna be hell because in one game, you get to see a nipple. This whole thing is just bullshit and well, society is just society's newest evil, like rock music or the printed word.

Sometimes when your hopes have all been shattered And there's nowhere to turn You wonder how you keep going Think of all the things that really mattered And the chances you've earned The fire in your heart is growing You can fly, if you try leaving the past behind Heaven only knows what you might find Dare - dare to believe you can survive You hold the future in your hand Dare - dare to keep all of your dreams alive It's time to take a stand And you can win, if you dare Everybody's trying to break your spirit Keeping you down Seems like it's been forever But there's another voice if you'll just hear it Saying it's the last round Looks like it's now or never Out of the darkness you stumble into the light Fighting for the things you know are right Dare - dare to believe you can survive The power is there at your command Dare - dare to keep all of your dreams alive It's time to take a stand And you can win, if you dare Dare - dare to believe you can survive You hold the future in your hand Dare - dare to keep all of your dreams alive The power is there at your command Dare - dare to keep all your love alive Dare to be all you can be Dare - 'cause there is a place where dreams survive And it's calling you on to victory _________ However the inner nerd in me has to point out that Unicron was about 50% the size of Cybertron in the movie, and was iirc about 25% in the pokemon series. THere was talk of an aircraft carrier transformer for the sequels... and well, that may lead to how megatron would be saved... maybe...
