  1. Not if you know how to use them (not only Waves, but Plugins in general). But I have to agree here. Overpriced, CPU hungry, sometimes/very often not even "that" highend sounding. They're just popular and cost that much cause "pro's" say "that's the best shit on earth". Also I disliked them from the day I wanted to uninstall the demos... They stayed in the damn DX listing. So if you want to get rid of them "completey", you needed something like AnalogX DX Remover (third party), else the plugins still exist as "ghosts" even though you uninstalled them. Two thumbs up, Waves.
  2. So much for hijacking the thread, Argi... *applauds*
  3. /me waits for the "Vanguard vs. Reaktor vs. z3ta+ vs. JX220 vs. SuperSaw Free vs. Roland Juno 106 hardware" bashing Want some popcorn?
  4. Argitoth sounds to me like somebody who reads a book cover, knows everything about the backgrounds after that and then he "needs" to act like a preacher on the streets trying to convert us all. Sad thing on it... there's nothing funny about it unfortunately.
  5. In this RAR version is a typo in one of the tracks and I'd prefer NOT sharing that pack. We have mirrors for that and a torrent set. That's why I removed the link.
  6. Well, I was meaning to have the link for the "whole" sountrack in a compressed file, just like Bound Together. We are not the others. And what would that bring? MP3s are already compressed, a RAR wouldn't "compress" the files any further. Thought about it and as one of those who "released" it, I say "no need for that". There aren't RAR packs for OCR either and you can get all files easily via the homepage. So I have to agree with DarkeSword.
  7. Why would you do that if there's a torrent pack available that gives you pretty high download rates? Your "full pack" would also differ from the packs "we" offered. I don't see a reason in that to be honest.
  8. Those "Special Audition" (not Special Edition - there's a difference) files don't relate to the "Special Edition". They aren't even mastered from myself. I thought StarSander put them down for the release, even after my request, but he didn't. And like PLBenjamin said... you can't have the Special Edition, cause I didn't finish it yet. And no... I don't give out a releasedate. The songs are "tiny" due to the original songlengths. The mp3s are in 192kbit VBR and the FLACs have "strongest compression" activated. Also C.S. doesn't fit on one CD. Both CDs have a running time of 86:53 alltogether, so they won't fit on a regular 74min CD. The CDs are split up due to a reason, and it's compeltely fine. What will be on the "3rd" CD is already known too. Just go a couple of pages back, I listed what will be on there. Always remember... not only the audio material has a specific filesize (1min around 10MB-11MB), but also the "bonus material". That's all the support I can give you atm.
  9. Care to elaborate or are you one of those in the "Door to the End of Time" feedback thread who mentions that and vanishes.
  10. Of course he was being sarcastic, but the part "argitoth knows how to use cubase" was infact not the sarcastic part. The sarcastic part was "the world ends" I meant that all in an sarcastic way - sorry to dissapoint you. Reading the "basics manual" and then you say you "know" Cubase is a joke! Produce something "good" with it, then we talk further. Enough for the flames now.
  11. OMG! THE WORLD ENDS! ARGITOTH KNOWS HOW TO USE CUBASE (and will maybe teach others).
  12. Can you please give me some measures and maybe some photos on the closet, please? I wanna get to know how big this thing actually is to think about what you can possibly do out of it.
  13. Well... leave it be, Zeality. Leave it be. It'll get on there eventually... As did the Doom project. We have a Wiki, we were posted on Digg.com, some other random torrent trackers, hell even on joystix. What else do you want? Any reason why I should have inserted tracknumbers? Arent't the tags already enough? I tagged those files (mp3) with a tool called UltraTracker. If I had done this by hand, it would have taken me hours. The FLACs were done with FLAC frontend and tagged by hand in Winamp. Took me a while already. And I don't see the "need" for using tracknumbers if the filenames already have this already, too. There won't be "extended tracks" of this album. The music was written over a year ago and doing something like this would take another half year to push out a "Special Edition". Sorry to say that.
  14. Well I dun know nothing about sonic foam, but yoozer might help you on there. I mentionted the closed as "empty room" and "possible bass box" in this cause, cause chances are that the sound that comes from the other side of the room, will be reflected in that empty closed and then thrown back at you with a "bass boost". BTW: Bass-traps are easy to make. If you have some old small cabinets (those you have at the side of the best), simply stuff a pillar in it and et voila... best and cheapest bass trap you can get. Another thing that might be interesting... Has the closet any light in it? Can somebody stand in there and do some vocal/guitar recordings? If so... and this room is used as "dedicated studio" now, why not stuff some foam/blankets/cutain onto the doors/walls of this small "extra room". Then you have an extra vocal booth too and don't have to mess with the room acoustics to get some "clean recordings" in there. Else you can get some partitions (moveable walls) to build a "smaller area" within the room and record in there. The purpose is simple: you reduce the roomsize around the microphone and you can block humming/hissing from your PC a bit. Depends on you, you have lots of possibilities. Stuff that I don't have.
  15. The closet might give you an unwanted bass boost due to the "empty room". I'd put some bass traps in the corners of the room and maybe even "in" the closed to prevent that. What's your opinion on that, yoozer? Also there's foam behind the speakers, and to the right side of them. But the door to the bathroom doesn't have that. Dunno... wouldn't that change the sound of it? Else... well... you gotta play around with your room, try to find the places were you have trouble with frequencies flattering, etc. But a bass track for the "holes" should be some great help.
  16. Argitoth never ceases to amaze me... Nope... he sure doesn't.
  17. And after one day... the hype is already gone. Come on folks. Nothing to say about the crappy bass mix and the humongus reverb on most of the tracks? That somebody didn't notice that one yet, hm... And how does it sound on a surround setup (ProLogic)?
  18. As if you know the physics and all secrets of Cubase already. Thanks Argi... you just made my day.
  19. Okay... then it's the "sweet spot". Whatever. Both words woth, but if we want to be correct on that, then it's "sweet spot".
  20. Well you got the FLAC decoder from the FLAC project page? Cause they all work for me
  21. And there goes another thing that's wrong with the page.
