  1. E.V.O was awesome. Very mysterious, nearly unheard of game for the SNES. I rented it one time more or less accidentally, and I remembered it enough to try downloading the ROM several years ago. It was a huge innovation, and the gameplay was pretty fun. The only problem I had with it though is that I felt like it was forcing me to play a certain way every time, despite the fact that there were tons of possibilities in creating your creature.
  2. Six months from now, Fox News will be covering the mature content of this game. They will bring on Jack Thompson to talk about it, which effectively acts as reviving Dracula from his grave. The game will then be recalled and reissued as an Adults Only rating by the ESRB. This terrible vision I have foreseen.
  3. That was fun tonight, but man, am I done with Dustbowl for awhile. I would love to try a map that we rarely play, like Hydro. A custom map would be REALLY rarely played, but I think that is asking too much at this time. Also, did tonight mark our first ever banning? I thought it was warranted because I'm sure the guys were planning on griefing. Overusing map exploits = quick ban, but it didn't help that the first thing they did when they got on the server was spawn camp. I didn't miss them once they were gone.
  4. Q button FTW. I hope to be back online tonight, but I make no promises. I'm excited that Zircon loves Warpath too. I think it's time to enable rtv now that we have several maps under our belts. The favorite maps will win most times and we can still probably convince people to vote for new/different maps (like Warpath).
  5. I'm disappointed in EA for their handling of the NFL license, but dear God, I'm not suing them over it. What the frick.
  6. I picked Nu from Chrono Trigger. Back when the game came out, I was practicing drawing and I used to draw Nu and the Final Fantasy 3/6 version of a Moogle. Ever sInce then, he's been a mascot of mine. A long with Trogdor the Burninator.
  7. Well, there's an interesting way to bump a thread. Anyone actually play Wii Fit? I can't find one, and I work at a GameStop. I was hoping to buy it for my girlfriend for a graduation present, so I still have 4 days, I guess. Another game I want to pick up at some point (besides Boom Blox - Jenga on steroids) is Bully. I missed the first one, and it looks like something worth playing. Anyone find any hidden Wii gems recently?
  8. If it's not an anagram of orgasm, people won't listen.
  9. Yes, this is true. However, it is not the same. When a dog gets runs over by traffic, can you just buy another dog? Yes! Is it the same dog that you loved and cared for all these years? Sadly, no. I realize I can find a "replacement" plushie companion cube, but I miss MY companion cube. The one who helped me escape the Aperture Science Labs, and the one who sacrificed itself so that I could live and move on. Still thinking of you, my beloved weighted companion cube!
  10. Sorry I haven't been on recently. I'm in the process of moving, and I know I won't have internet until tomorrow at the earliest, but I still have to move/set up my computer. I MISS YOU ALL LIKE I MISS MY WEIGHTED COMPANION CUBE!!
  11. Man, now I'm really afraid to play Engy next time. I do that a lot, and I'm surprised Bahamut hasn't banned me yet. If I'm being an Engy ass, please remind me to switch classes because I forget sometimes.
  12. If only there were a copy editor on the OCR boards somewhere! O wait. This guy. It's funny, I didn't really mean to read the whole thing. I was busy doing important work things when I clicked on the Wingless's sig. I read the first few pages like, "WTF?" Then I read 6 more chapters. Then I checked to see how many chapters there were since I had work to do. I then read the only chapter left. Then it was too late for me to finish my work. This story has been in my head ever since. What a mind job.
  13. I feel really bad that I haven't been able to play at 9 p.m. EST for several days now. Stupid work. By the time I get there, the server is usually empty, or close to it. I'd recommend a map or two for tonight, but once again, I won't be able to get on until 10 at the earliest. Stupid work. On a random server yesterday, I came to the conclusion that the best thing in TF2 is switching to a class that hasn't been played by anyone on your team and wreaking havoc on the enemies who are not prepared. EXAMPLE: Switching to Spy and sapping every engy's stuff. EXAMPLE: Switching to Sniper and getting headshots on medics and heavies, ruining their uber attempts. EXAMPLE: Switching to Pyro, getting ubered and charging at the enemy. EXAMPLE: Switching to Scout, running PAST/THROUGH the enemy, and capping the point. Also, LITTLE MEN STEAL OUR CART!!
  14. Ha ha, why not? Mario Kart and maybe Granary as a classic to keep overall attendance up? I don't think we've had Granary in the OCR server yet, but I may be wrong.
  15. I noticed that when I type "rtv" into chat, I get the message, "voting disabled." What do people feel about the idea of being able to initiate a vote to change and pick maps? I'm a big fan of allowing the players to have some admin powers in case Bahamut is unavailable. I would normally recommend a day of Warpath on the server, except it requires a lot of people to enjoy. I usually play that map in 30-person servers, but it's still tons of fun with 24. I'm a little worried that we'd have 4-8 players, which feels lacking. Either way, it's one I'd like to try sometime. After more people download these maps, maybe we can try some "custom map" days.
  16. I suppose this means that I should practice a lot more with the pyro now. When the medic achievements came out, I already had 3 of them unlocked, such as the 1,000,000 health recovered, just from playing that class all the time. Also, there were a bunch of n00b medics running around begging to fall victim to my syringe gun. Of course, then I fell victim to the improved medic's syringe gun. I'm definitely looking forward to it. I wonder how long it will take until the next big update? It seemed like a long time passed between Badlands' debut and the unveiling of Medic Achievements and Goldrush. I think it was February to just a couple of weeks ago.
  17. NO WAY. I was sure you were about 16, and have thought so for at least a year or two. I guess I must have been thrown off by the Pokemon sig and a little bit of the Nintendo Fanboyism a long time ago. I never would have guessed you were >6 years older than me. Me = Ignorant, presumptuous goober. So uh, happy birthday! As for the thread, I get a lot of ~40-50-year-olds at work (GameStop) looking for good GBA and DS recommendations. I usually tell them, "Advance Wars or Fire Emblem," and they say, "Yeah those were great. Now what should I play?" But 70-year-olds, no, I don't really see that very often.
  18. Sniping is definitely fun, but I don't do it that often. I did the math, and I only play as sniper 8% of the time I'm playing TF2. I feel that sniper is a pretty useless class compared to demos, engies, medics, and heavies, but that's just my opinion. Usually, I try to pick my class based on whatever is most needed by my team. The other day, however, I felt like playing a class simply for fun, and I guess I went off a little. sorry.
  19. Welcome to the Fire Emblem obsession. We knew you'd come. Feel free to pick up the prequel, Path of Radiance, for the GameCube ($25). A few of the new additions will be gone, which will be annoying, but the storyline is worth it. The easiest way to find it now would be using the store locater on GameStop's Web site. Also, I highly recommend the first American GBA game "Fire Emblem" (FF7 in Japan) ($20). You can probably skip the second GBA game "Sacred Stones" for now, but keep your eyes peeled for the somewhat recently announced DS installment of Fire Emblem, featuring Marth.
  20. [HOMER:] WHY YOU LITTLE-!! *strangle* I am teh suxorz at Demo, Spy, and Pyro, but I was trying my hand at Demolition yesterday ... with very little success, mind you, but it is a great server for practicing.
  21. Good question. Last night's emptiness was kind of expected, because a lot of people expressed on the forums that Sunday nights were bad for them. Also, a lot of people are in the middle of finals weeks, etc., so I'd assume that the server will get more exposure throughout the next month. I'd guess that a certain day will seem more popular eventually after studying the server statistics. I couldn't really tell you personally because most evenings work for me. THOUGHT OF THE DAY: I'm currently ranked 3rd on the server, but everyone else ranked near me is beating the crap out of me in the server. I'm looking at YOU, Pyrion, with your two kills for every one death.
  22. I'd like to add that although there are many skilled players on the server, it's not cutthroat competitive like some other servers can be. So even if you're new to TF2 or are old and unskilled, we promise to be nice to you. In fact, we might even let you kill us once or twice!
  23. Is the cost of the WiiWare games still a mystery? I fear that I'm not going to get into it because it'll be too expensive. Unless someone like Pepsi starts a "Free Wii Points with Purchase" program. *dream*
  24. I would recommend NOT 2Fort. I used to like it, but I played it so much in TFC that I'm totally sick of it. I think a lot of other players hate it too, while not many players hate Gravel Pit or Dustbowl, which are solid map choices for a server. My favorite map is actually Warpath, but that's a pretty wild request for a new server. Instead, I would recommend Gold Rush as a newer map to use. I'm really looking forward to playing all the time in the OCR server. P.S. my steam ID is SirChadlyOC.
  25. You're right; today is the ship date. My bad. But still, when people do get their hands on it, let us know how it plays.
