Locked threads aren't supposed to be editable. Nothing wrong there! ^_~ Good point. I'm sure that's customizable. -
You'll get used to it within no time. Plus, so many more features! (And there are some customizable options that we'll be playing around with once everything else is settled.)
-
Yeah, there are going to be a few more visual changes. Dave said he's gonna switch the thread icons eventually, because at the moment they're a little difficult to distinguish. (Maybe we'll get back our old smilies, too!) There are a lot of customizable options, but at the moment, we're focusing on security and functionality. Lots of cool new features so far! Check out your user profiles: buddy/ignore lists, longer sigs, more avatars, thread subscriptions, event reminders... This stuff kicks booty! XD

Testing, testing, 123... Edit!

Okay, sorry it's taken this long for me to post all my pics. The after-meetup meetup didn't end until just a little while ago, and I had to resize everything for the forums. Enjoy! Virt from VGMix came! Nice work, NYC '06! Clockwise from top left: DJ Bren, With Friend, Pi_R_[]ed, Shnabubula, José the Bronx Rican, (violin guy that wasn't actually part of the meetup, Bahamut, Atma Weapon, DrumUltimA, Jiggles McPuff, zircon, DarkeSword, Geoffrey Taucer, bustatunez, V Remedyz, Katsurugi, Mark, Virt, and pixietricks. People grabbing some pizza at a local joint. Om nom nom! bustatunez has a transparent arm. DarkeSword, Katsurugi, Atma Weapon, and Captain Huge look on in wonderment. (Doesn't everyone look funny here?) Pi_R_[]ed and Mark play some video game tunes in Manny's. Nintendo world! AHHHH, they were playing OC ReMixes the entire time we were there! Geoffrey Taucer, Atma Weapon, pixietricks, zircon, and bustatunez in a daze. Katsurugi: "What?" Pi_R_[]ed, DJ Bren, and Taucer in Nintendo World. Barnes and Noble! Virt, bustatunez, Taucer, and zircon... with the Remixer's Bible. Jiggles McPuff shares a little something with busta, who is a pregnant kangaroo, apparently. "Tell us a story, pixietricks!" Bahamut, Virt, José, and DarkeSword sitting in the children's section. Oh yeah, speaking of pregnancy... DrumUltimA is expecting. Haha! I captured the moment everyone turned to look at the security guard who decided to kick us out of our cozy spot. On OCR, even waiting for an elevator can be highly eventful. Waiting to be seated in Little Italy. Such happy folk! Dinnar! Everyone but Taucer in this pic... and the few people who left early or came late. DrumUltimA, Shnabubula, and Virt. The breadstick staff was my doing. (Man, that place sucked...) At zircon's house! José, V Remedyz, With Friend, Bahamut, Jiggles, Taucer, and DrumUltimA go about their geeky business. Yup! The next morning. What dramatic sunlight, eh? bustatunez curls up by the three with a hearty piece of literature. Nintendo Monopoly! Bahamut bought this the night before, at (gasp) Nintendo World. zircon and Bahamut strategize. Oh, what fun! Pixie makes Yoshi roll the die. (Oh yeah, and she won, btw!)

VOCR: Vocal Remixing Compo- WINNERS ANNOUNCED!
Jillian Aversa replied to Jillian Aversa's topic in Competitions
Uhhhh, guys? Please refrain from expressing your opinions about the entries in here, if you're referring to specific numbers. You could be influencing other peoples' votes. Even if it's praise, that could have negative repurcussions on the fairness of the system. I'm not going to literally ask you to edit your posts, but you may choose to do so if you want. Either way, no more of this talk. -

VOCR: Vocal Remixing Compo- WINNERS ANNOUNCED!
Jillian Aversa replied to Jillian Aversa's topic in Competitions
Sammy: I made a conscious decision not to post a list of who actually entered, because I don't wanna encourage people to try to mix and match, or "figure it out," per se. No worries, all will be announced in the end! EDIT: Hey guys, please remember to include a couple sentences explaining each of your top three choices! I can't count your votes until you do. -
VOCR: Vocal Remixing Compo- WINNERS ANNOUNCED!
Jillian Aversa replied to Jillian Aversa's topic in Competitions
Well, sorry I didn't bother to check the comments tags. I didn't think people would put any clues in there (and my computer puts "Jilly" in the composer category automatically)! Oh well, just don't read them, as Dark Chocobo said. -

GLL: Agreed. I'm really hoping we'll get a bunch of remixers interested in offering up their tracks for the compo as well. The more styles the better! Beat ya to it. ^_~ -

Rail and Koala. All you need to know. And LuiZa And Pixietricks Though neither of them is available Yeah, and even if we were, I think we're in a different category than those two. A less... "outgoing" one. Still, wingless, if it'll entice you to come, I promise to give you a sweet little peck on the cheek. -

Our Tales of Christmas: Past and Present
Jillian Aversa replied to The Coop's topic in General Discussion
Oh wow, that's pretty good! My mom would probably hide in her room if that happened to her. Let's see... Probably the highlight of my day was teaching my family how to make chocolate mice... What you need: - Geneva cookies - Cherries *with stems* - Hershey's kisses - Melted chocolate - Sliced almonds - Gel icing in various colors The cookies become the base for the mice to sit upon. First you take a cherry by the stem and swirl it around in the melted chocolate; this becomes the body of the mouse, and the stem is its tail. Then you stick a Hershey's kiss to the front of the cherry, horizontally so that the tip forms the shape of the mouse's snout. For ears, you place two rounded almond slices between the cherry and the kiss. And to top it off... use the colored gel icing to dot the mouse with a nose and two eyes! Of course, my brother took the liberty to create his own versions of this adorable treat... Namely: - One "lab experiment gone wrong," with two heads stuck together and a jumble of discolored eyes and ears coming out every which way, and... - A decapitated mouse head, with plenty of blood to boot. An example of my lovely creation is pictured between his two: -
