  1. You're not alone. I fucking hate the game and think it's the second worst Zelda game ever (second only to Majora's Mask). I HATE ZELDA IN 3D
  2. Ugh... why do people like that JT album so much. I hate it. I think his first album is the finest pop masterpiece of the decade thus far. I think the songs off that album will be remembered over these FS/LS junk. Ugh. I hate that album. It's the only album I've taken back to the store and said, "I want my money back." Ever. In my entire Life. Ugh. But yeah, Cee-Lo, how'd I forget?
  3. balls, bro. Don't let it get you down. Nothing you can do there. One of those situations where Life plays out the way it wants to and we don't get a say. lame.
  4. The Roots Common Talib Kweli Mos Def De La Soul Jurassic 5 A Tribe Called Quest The Pharcyde Please spend some time listening to these artists. Hip-hop isn't a one-trick pony. I'm sorry you don't like the modern stuff but there should be some stuff in here that you enjoy immensely. Glad you mentioned the Smash Mouth - I've noticed the similarity since the day I first heard it on the radio (though I doubt any of those guys were cool enough to play CT). But what's this "Yasunori Mitsuda (who is white)" business?!?
  5. I guess I at least hope he can bounce back from it. Lotta people get started off on the wrong foot and come back strong. Hope that happens for him. At least he has a cool name.
  6. Not that I can disagree 'cause I think it was more or less the right thing, but something about all this seems so wrong...
  7. I liked how classic it was. Lotta classic stuff happened. Very... classy. I like it when they get back to the kids being kids. As much as I love the political satire and the mockery of current events and pop culture, their genius is really showing the kids being kids. And Abraham Lincoln.
  8. Snaps, I was thinking BWI 'cause that's where I flew in last year. But I stayed with friends so it was cool. ka-bam
  9. Dude, if it's not about the price, then why wouldn't you want to fly into the same town where the convention is, as opposed to an hour away in a different state? confused
  10. Gonna be good to meet you, Wire. PREPARE FOR ROCK!
  11. Hypothetically, giving away free arrangements takes away revenue from potential soundtrack/arranged soundtrack sales. Eventually free remix sites will be shut down or bought out. It's either inevitable, or fan-arranged game music will die out. The latter seems unlikely so we'll see what happens.
  12. Theoretically, it could be the start of the movement where the game companies realize the value of their IP and then swing the mighty axe on everyone who sells game music arrangements, possibly even closing down this site! *gasp* Purely hypothetical though. One dweeb's Schala single in the UK shouldn't matter so much.
  13. hahaha nice, zircon. Can't wait to see where this goes. 'course it would be pretty sad if this guy got super pwnd...
  14. Tensei-San, as long as your work is "original" then there's no problem. OCR doesn't own anything you do so if you want to make a remix and then use the base of that remix for an original piece, do it. You'll own your original piece.
  15. Better to fly into DCA where the free* shuttle runs a couple of times every hour. I think that would be the smartest thing ('cause that's what I'm doing and I'm the smartest bear in the forest huck-yuck!!). *Driving is a tipping service. Tip!
  16. Very strange. Though nothing legal is going to happen. This all happened in 2006(?) What is he doing now? Note: zircon and Tensei-San I TOTALLY PWND YOU* WITH MY FAST DEFINITION SKILLZ!!11 FEAR! *Though I loved zircon's car stereo "loophole" example - it's perfect and hilarious and made me lol because it's something you'd hear about in a newspaper
  17. A loophole is a means of evasion of a law or rule's punishment. Getting away with a crime is just not being caught and still illegal.
  18. And There It Is! I Was There When The Shit Went Down! Omg!
  19. Most people who sample clear the sample now thanks to Biz Markie. At least the big dawgs. I don't think most smaller level professionals or hobbyists out there bother with it. Honestly, big companies don't care until you're making the big bucks 'cause they want their cut. Still, it's illegal even in the slightest without clearance. The difference? "Here's a cool song." *cut 'n paste* "I want to redo this song as a Bossa Nova!" *makes an arrangement, maybe uses real instruments which may or may not involve recruiting musicians, sequences arrangement into software, applies knowledge of music theory and instrumentation, etc.* If someone who samples wants to hear something in a different context, that's cool. I would just much rather re-imagine it myself (see: The Wingless) in said context. I'm not saying that you thought about it any less than I did. That wouldn't be fair. I'm just saying that I appreciate the fact that The Wingless really put together something really interesting to me, whereas a sampler more or less, "cuts and pastes." (Not saying it's always as simple as that, but that's where it all starts)
  20. I guess 'cause Daft Punk also has "Aerodynamic" and "Veridis Quo," where as Kanye also has Oh that's right, nothing that I've liked so far. I haven't heard all of the new album yet so I don't know - maybe things have changed. Whether or not he effortlessly samples, chrono26, I still just don't like his music. I find it annoying. I loved his duet with Pharrell, though. 'Course I think I've only heard one beat from The Neptunes that I haven't liked out of their entire library. And Harmony, I didn't click that link the first time. I should have. I realized Daft Punk sampled, but not to the extreme as heard in those examples. Sad. The whole world is a Monet.
