  1. I must have gotten lucky as the day I bought it, it was sold for $25 at a Toys'R'Us (holy shit less than $25?! yeah I was surprised) What I really enjoyed about it were the the effects used for the elemental spells. I also liked the tune to the mirage palace in the desert where you could easily get maybe 12+plus espers to boost your magic power with no monsters in the palace. But before I go semi-derailing the topic... FF1 & 2, while pretty bad to most. I still love them. Some of the best tracks I've ever heard growing up as I played them as well as the simple stories allowed me to imagine something beyond the simple sprites of yore. Back then of course it was animated in my mind but in a similarly artistic style I've seen from museums and some box art as well. It felt alot like reading a story except of course with just imagery instead of text. A story I enjoyed, I just happen to control the main hero's actions for the most part. I suppose that's what saves them from falling into the "worst gaming experience ever" catagory... At least for me...
  2. I'm probably a masochist as I loved playing FF12 despite the grind lol... Then again I'm probably one of the few who actually owns a copy of "Quest 64" and enjoyed it. Mammon was an asshole in that game but by the time I reached him, so long as I casted some defense spells I was kicking his ass. Hell I remember reading an article for Quest 64 saying it as being worse than being given a root canal from a dentist.
  3. I <3 the soundtrack The Jun Kagiro battles in "Siren" for the PS2 are god damn annoyingly hard, the bastard is somewhat quick (or rather I'm just slow ingame). After that its the last boss which I'm pretty bad at too but managed to beat. The fucker is invisible for the most part and just having to switching from sightjacking to normal gets a bit wild for me unless I can time it right lol...
  4. I've played the original without a guide way back and have finished it... idk maybe I was unusually patient to level grinding as a child... Even now I still have the original game cartridge and can still play it without the guide. I liked the game enough to get the PS version and the GBA lost souls version that both had the second game. (Supposedly considered as the worst but I liked it)
  5. no it's not... That's almost saying as if you can't play with legos or something...
  6. That's what I'm going for, especially due to the high sensitivity of the projects as well as research. In the mean time for fun I may develope a special clock/timer based around the cycle system.
  7. My reasons are for using the Cycle time system for... security purposes... Won't go far into detail but let's just say it may become a staple time system around here...
  8. I'm actually quite interested. This thread's been a fun read.
  9. To access the OCR Channel, click on the button where it says channels, and from there click on the button "Join/Create Channel" and type with caps ---> OCR . From there if some one is on the channel, you'll see the person's portait on the right hand column. If no one is on it, then you'll have created the OCR channel and you just have to wait till others join. as for finding the OCR Corp, click on the map, then click on search, type in OCR and there should be an entry that mentions it; right click on it and make it your destination. From there click on the capital A on ur main screen and your ship will fly/sail (however you percieve it) to the corp's area.
  10. So yeah I like the new changes including the GUI. In a more familiar term, I can now "overclock" the modules of my ship but with the risk of making them utterly useless until I can repair them at a station. Makes for last resort moments more intense, especially if without the overheat option, sometimes a battle is already decided, with overheat I can have a good chance of winning but basically become gimped for a while in the end. What features do players here enjoy?
  11. I pretty much can supply starter weaponry in the way of turrets and ammunition. I usually start charging after the first free bit of equipment.
  12. This latest version, in some places I felt it made some strides foward then back peddle a bit as well. I agree with you on the harpsichord sounding dissonant as I was a bit surprised by that; not in the good way sadly. While I love the guitars, it practically smothered the piano away to where I started imagining a piano trying to stay afloat from the guitars. Not saying the piano should be the front, but don't let it get smothered to merely popping up every couple of beats while the guitars play their parts. One other thing though I think it's more of a preference than anything technical. The organ while good, I can't help but think of the old 60's organs used by spiritualists that rag on you if given the chance. I could not envision the use of the classic pipeorgan of old. Again it's more of a personal preference than anything critical. Since you used a piano and harpiscord, why not use a full on pipe organ used by churches of old to match the rest eh?. I suppose I've been listening way too much of Malice Mizer's "Bara no Seidou" album; incredible use of pipeorgans... goodluck though!
  13. So where is everybody in the game? I'm experimenting with ship configs along with plans of just exploring the space I haven't visted. Also DragonfireKai I may take up your invite, sorry I couldn't answer yesterday as I've been more often than not afk due ot moving stuff out and in. Call it Major summer cleaning.
  14. LoZ:Alttp's rendition of the overworld tune, Darkworld theme, fairy fountain theme, Hyrule Castle theme. OoT:Forest Temple, Shadow Temple, Last Battle, inside the bombchu game shop. LA: Song of the Windfish (preferably orchestrated with good vocals), Tal Tal Heights. TW: Midna's Theme, The Snow Mansion's theme. Stallord's battle theme, a couple more I can't remember the name of. LAd: Palace theme. MC: Some tunes, can't recall the names but I know I liked a couple. LoZ: overworld, underworld. WW, OoS, OoA I haven't played them just yet.
  15. I found myself liking them all lol. Each one has good potential to be great and I agree with Splunkie with trying out the dry organ for you to add your own touch to it. needs more harpsichord lol; but seriously a good choice.
  16. Well happy bday man and we can meet up later. Have a good one~!
  17. I'm actually at work right now, languishing really lol. But I will be on some time either 5:30 pm EST or 6pm. All forms of generosity are welcomed . Heck if ya need anything researched/invented I'd help.
  18. I can dream can't I lol... yeah I pretty much got a bunch of 125's and 75's from the missions I've done. I'll probably stick a 150 as the middle high slot of the 7 slots while the rest are 75s
  19. Good enough for me, I'll just need to make some better railguns to replace the 75mm railguns I have on them. (I can make the 150mm railguns )
  20. From the time I had been using them it sure felt that way. In light of the info/clarification, would it be wise to have a mix between long range and short range hybrid turrets? Such as having 3 rail guns for general attacking and two blasters as neutralizing guns for in-close range enemies; or just have either all railgun/blastergun ship..?
  21. To my understanding my Destroyer can handle 8 hardpoints, 7 being turrets while the last one is a missle type. basically... Destroyer Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to Small Hybrid Turret tracking speed and 10% bonus to Small Hybrid Turret optimal range per level & Penalty: -25% rate of fire for all turrets Bonus: 50% bonus to optimal range for small hybrid turrets So the way I see it, unless I am using projectile type of turrets, I think i can mix the last 2 turrets that use crystals seeing as how the turrets are hybrid type. Now if that's not the case I can always change out those hybrid laser turrets with another set. My only qualm is the 25% drop on the firing rate for my turrets.
  22. Rest in peace Mr. Wizard, for many informative and entertaining mornings during the golden years on Nickelodeon.
  23. If you ever get the chance ellywu2, look us up! Finally got myself a Destroyer, and I like how I have one BFG (not the actual DOOM variety, just a big gun) and two smaller versions in the front, with the laser charges on the sides as back up and one missle launcher for extra punch lol... I can't wait to build a supped up version of my destroyer when I have th ematerials/skills.
