... okay one more... ........ seriously.

Okay, so I was trying to make a trance track and I decided to mess with Slayer, and then I just left the guitar and trance synths and the dance beat going in the background ... err... it's really very weird. Anyway, nothing really like an officially released and polished song, but just something I felt like sharing. It defintely could use some cymbals and some follow up sounds. And... guitar solo near the end. Get the streaming at MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/strike911 MP3 download here: http://strike911.sanctuslegacy.com/trancerock.mp3

ah ha! Very cool! Thanks for the links.

@ Bahamut : How are you getting discounts on games? Lucky. @ everyone else : My sweet God how I love the Fire Emblem series. I highly enjoyed Advance Wars way back in the day, when I tried the GBA Fire emblem it felt like a new and fresh take on the same type of strategy style. So I played the GCN version and felt like the game was so polished and refined, and the story was actually pretty good (especially so when compared to most of nintendo's stuff!). So I almost bought this game at launch but decided against it... I will own this. I do have one question though. I've gone through Path of Radiance and I heard that there is some kind of connectivity between the wii version and the GCN version. What do you get if you played the previous version? Fire Emblem is so underrated. Spread the love. Like herpes!

you know, at first when everyone was like, "This thread is starting to suck" I didn't really get it... but now that I've read the last 20 posts I think it clicked, and now I'm sad. Screw you all that led to this demise. May you argue about the ownership of improbable Mii character ideas until the end of time. Good day.

love how this character will have it's own play style and mechanics. It's so different and it looks like it will be fun to mess around with the moves to see how they work.

true, but forcing Snake to emphasize explosives (the route they've taken with Snake in SSBB) isn't really anything he is known for doing either. I mean, I guess Snake does shoot things... but... I don't think I ever used the grenade launcher in any MGS games (maybe MGS2) except for the VR Training modes. I was kind of hoping for something utilizing a Metal Gear, but this is cool, I think, because it's so much different from other types of Final Smashes, even though it's not a giant Metal Gear kicking some ass. I mean, they could've used a Metal Gear, and it probably would have been something along the lines of Fox's Landmaster Final Smash but... hmm. I guess they could have had a Metal Gear do the shooting instead of Snake... *shrugs*

Darth Vader and Yoda in Soul Calibur IV

Namco is just trying to get the crazy sales they got when they put Link in SC2 on the Gamecube... and that kind of bothers me that they're actively relying on 3RD party characters (at least it would seem) instead of solidifying their engine and making the actual game an excellent experience. Don't get me wrong I had a blast playing various iterations of SC, but ... the game is far from perfect and is largely imbalanced.... -
Alright! Another great Final Smash. I love how they're utilizing different styles of Final Smashes for everyone. This is awesome! Although, personally, it looks to me like Sakurai is just trying to maximize the amount of time Snake's ass is in our face. I mean, look at that third shot! It's like... right there! In all it's ... assy glory. Teehee. j/k j/k j/k anyway, cool stuff.

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3165334 no lie. This is crazy, but cool, but crazy... yet... cool.

Captain Falcon confirmed? Red Alloy looks eerily similar to good old Falcon's fighting stance (just like the old wireframes). Blue looks like (possibly) Zelda's graceful movements? Maybe ZeroSuit Samus? *shrugs* It was Zelda for the wireframes so I'll assume Zelda right now. Green is more likely than not Kirby's regular moves. Yellow is probably Mario. Judging by the way he's falling with his arms in the air (just like Mario back in the day) in the last pic. Those horns remind me of ICO. lol. All of this is assuming that we see some similarities between copying regular attacks for these generic fighters in a similar fashion of how they did it with the wireframes (Falcon and Zelda moves). I'm so happy to see some emphasis on cooperative play. That makes me soo happy because while I love pummeling my pals (and being pummeled too), nothing beats being able to be a team. I hope we see some cool cooperative mission scenarios, like defend the right side, or something along those lines. Cool stuff. AND I like the alloys. They look huge from those pictures, but hella cool.

ughh.... Brinstar. I don't think I know anyone that enjoys playing that level (especially when compared to other levels). Maybe we can get some more cool Metroid levels now that the rising acid stuff is taken care of...

I want to main Solid Snake just because everyone I know, knows how much of a Metal Gear freak I am. It's a natural fit. I'll try my best to get good with him regardless of whether he sucks or not. Of course, I'm half-joking. I would love to play Snake, and if fate so has it, I will providing I can do anything at all with him. It will be hard not to backslide to my old Melee character. I guess we get an update tonight too. That's exciting. That was a pretty weird week without my Brawl goodness. We're nearly to the one-month waiting point! How exciting!

Man, this will be a rough week without my Smash updates. :_( lol. In regards to Robotnik, Sega switches between Robotnik and Eggman whenever they feel like it, though recently it's been Eggman. I don't think it's always been Eggman, at least in North America. My Sonic 1 Genesis Instruction Manual calls him "Dr. Ivo Robotnik" so ... I don't think anyone is wrong to call him either name. I was always under the assumption that Japanese carts got Dr. Eggman and and early western Sonic carts got Dr. Robotnik (though I am slightly unsure of that; just a guess). It's clear that they call him Eggman now, but referring to him as either/or is fine imo. and.... wow, RTYPEpilot, way to do 4 posts in a row. lol. EDIT: LAWL CLOUDS!!!!111 @ CodyCrusader : I see a giant dong in the clouds. Clearly a giant dong is playable. and Ridley is a freakin' Stretch Armstrong (and not the Dhalsim style ones either.. like a freakin' mass changing sea monkey [just add water bitches!]). Does it matter anymore what his size is? It has never been consistent, and probably never will. Nintendo should just bite the bullet and make a dime sized Ridley just to piss in all of our faces, once and for all. Or come up with some ridiculous story that will semi-piece together everything but not really, and just make everything more confusing and retarded (COUGH ZELDA COUGH COUGH)

Western characters (non Japanese) ? hmm.... that is a real tough one... besides the aforementioned Earthworm Jim (and Crash)... I can't really think of any good characters from Western studios... besides some Mortal Kombat characters... StarCraft was on the N64... would it be weird to see a Space Marine show up? Or a Zergling? Wouldn't that be weird!! Hmm... what else? I'm having a real difficult time thinking of some... *HMM* I guess technically Diddy Kong (and Donkey Kong's representation) could be considered western from Rare's influence on the evolution of Donkey Kong's persona.... man... what a toughie. I just cannot for the life of me, think of any Western characters that have been on a Nintendo system... Rayman, maybe? Spiderman? Batman? Err, I don't know how licensing would work with that... I doubt any comic book superheroes would ever show up, although it would be cool. Used to be a lot of StarWars stuff from back in the day............... but that'd be weird. hmmmm....... video game characters..... *thinks really hard* .... oh to hell with this.... Japan is so xenophobic anyway, Sakurai probably meant for Japanese characters that Westerners are aware of. BUT STILL, there are tons of Japan only characters showing up... hmm... Nintendo did have something going with EA, like how Mario, Peach, and Luigi showed up in NBA Street.... maybe some EA property will show up... *shrugs* but all they do is license crap ... I can't think.... EDIT: AH HA! SAM FISHER. *whew*

OMG! Kirby Air Ride FTW! Alright.... and an item that feels fresh and completely new!!! The dragoon should be fun to mess around with, and kudos to sakurai for adding in game mechanics that are outside the box and new to the smash bros franchise. I wonder if we'll see any more unconventional items like this. I gotta be honest, I kind of like the idea of collecting pieces of items for a mega weapon... I approve! .... a one week break.... hmm... okay.

Oh man... Angel Island!!!!! _^__^_^ This song reminds me of being in 3rd grade!! Brawl is like my entire childhood, and adulthood mixed together. I cannot wait.

I think I'd be okay with alternate 'costumes' that are different characters altogether from a similar series... especially as super secret unlocks. The Starfox team make sense to me if Falco isn't his own character anymore, as does Liquid Snake and Old Snake. Plus Mario has tons of outfits that have never been exploited (cough Tanooki cough). So does Link. I think I'd be okay seeing characters like Lucas switch to Ness if Ness isn't playable himself; Heck a Raichu variant of Pikachu; Ike could do a whole slew of FE characters; I'd love to see a zillion different sets even if they don't have their own movesets, because it's better to see more characters included than left out entirely. Here's hoping there are more characters that can do this. In fact, for characters from the Old N64 smash bros, I wouldn't mind seeing old retro N64 polygonal models as alternates; might be a fun nod to the old school crowd.
-
Wario Alone. That sucks. I hope that's just a translation issue. I hope other characters get this treatement... even if their movesets are identical to others, I'd love to see the clones in there rather than not at all (as alternate colors).

Teens charged with "Mortal Kombat" killing
Strike911 replied to Schwaltzvald's topic in General Discussion
Somewhere I heard that something deemed a "life sentence" in court could technically be as short as 20 years. I think in a Criminal Justice course I took. So either my prof was on crack, and in violation of law, or there's some crazy terms being thrown around in the US legal system. Fun fact! See bottom of cereal box for answers. -
Something official about Mega Man and smash Bros straight from Keiji Inafune! It is sad. The truth or a tease? I seem to remember Sega saying something eerily similar to this about Sonic a few months ago. But is it too late for Nintendo add a new character under the current schedule for release, even if Nintendo wanted Mega Man in there? Maybe downloadable content?
