  1. I'm sure you'll pull it off just fine (And I'm not just saying that as teammate encouragement.) If I can sneak a Chuck Mangione nod into a metal song, you can work Doppler and Ground Scaravich together.
  2. As long as things don't get pushed back, it's cool. There's no breaks between weeks, right?
  3. OHAI AM I TOO LATE FOR THIS? I'm a total ghost around these parts, but I saw this and it caught my attention. I've been going through Mega Man games to try and find inspiration for my own music for the last few weeks, and it kind of seemed too amusing. I'm teamless. If anyone can deal with a metalhead with shitty recording gear, feel free to scoop me up. Here's a clip of the only remix/rearrangement thing I've actually finished and uploaded, for reference purposes: http://www.tonefinder.com/files/39-Serpents%20Trenched%20in%20Acid.mp3 My picks I actually WANT to do: 1. Blaze Heatnix (X6) 2. Boomer Kuwanger (X1) 3. Spark Mandrill (X1) 4. Flame Mammoth (X1) 5. Bubble Crab (X2) My maybe slightly more realistic picks: 1. Magma Dragoon (X4) 2. Frost Walrus 2nd stage (X4) 3. Toxic Seahorse (X3) 4. Shield Sheldon (X6) 5. The Skiver (X5)
  4. Wait, Protricity hacked sites? Oh, the things you miss by being out of a community for several years. (Amusingly enough, his "Brainsick Metal" mix is one of the few remixes that stayed on my iPod after all those years)
  5. Lately it's been Ernie Ball 11-54s with a 70 for my 7th string (I typically use D'addario 11-52s, but I can't find them in stores around here and I haven't felt motivated to make an online order lately.) Mostly use Dunlop Max-Grip carbon fiber Jazz IIIs, occasionally Ultex Jazz IIIs, and even rarer nylon Jazz IIIs. Oh, and I tune 1 and 1/2 steps down...C# through low G#...and I've been writing a lot in drop F# lately. I may have to look into those Red Bear picks if they seriously don't grind down.
  6. I caught this post on theshizz boards. And holy shitballs, I didn't realize it was YOU due to your different username there. That's all KINDS of awesome.
  7. Would it be possible to get a change to The Hiryuu? I've LOOOOONG since dropped the "Emperor Nakoo" bit from everywhere else.
  8. Metal? Was the remix replaced with another one after you wrote that? I hear nothing even remotely metal about it. Yes, there's guitars ("Heavy" ones at that) toward the end. But that doesn't make it metal. If it didn't have those techno(?) drums, then perhaps I could see some logic in calling it metal.
  9. Hasn't hurt Ron Jeremy's career any... And the two really do somewhat resemble each other. Think about it......well, actually, it's probably best if you don't.
  10. Not bad...yet again, goat makes a damn good mix. Although it wasn't nearly as guitar-oriented as most of his stuff is (And as anyone who knows me at all knows, I'm a HUGE fan of guitar-oriented ReMixes), it was still pretty fucking cool. And I've been wanting another Ninja Gaiden ReMix for a while. Actually...I might just get around to that black metal Ninja Gaiden II remix I've had in the back of my mind for a while...
  11. And people like you must be those without a sense of humor. In other words, you have a rod up your ass.
  12. Not too bad. I noticed a number of off-sounding notes in the guitar lines, but that's not a big deal.
  13. It has the word "dance" in the title, and thus I automatically refuse to listen to it.
  14. Well, there's moments when there's supposed to be harmonizing going on, but it just doesn't happen. And I HATE it when people cut out harmonized parts!
  15. Yeah, it's pretty cool...but the guitar tone's too thin and fuzzy for my tastes. But I'm sure it's simply because Gux couldn't afford a decent amp or something like that...
  16. Yeah...the intro was a bit too long. Perhaps if the fast/distorted section of the song was longer, and had more riffs in it, then the intro would be fine. Other than that, it kicks major ass. Sounds a lot like something I would do, if I could get a halfway decent guitar tone out of my damn Line6 Spider...
  17. Mmmm...I quite enjoyed this. It is quite Iron Maiden-esque...and yeah, I can see a slight resemblance to Yngwie's "Far Beyond the Sun"...of course, it doesn't have Yngwie's signature sweep-picked runs placed everywhere. There's a little similarity to Metallica, but it's not nearly as prominent as the Maiden-isms. Of course, this sounds quite similar to just about anything I would do...so now I can't post the remix that I would eventually get around to doing, out of fear of it being passed off as a ripoff of this.
